Ok - what about text - remove it at all?
I agree, remove the text and the clutter. Go in the pin-up deck direction. It would make more sense than this does. The art is good, focus there.

I agree that you should have women on all the court cards, get rid of the men entirely. You could have the women wearing or holding something appropriate to Kings on the kings cards, like a crown, scepter, purple and white fur cloak, axe, etc. Also remove the words, and ship the previous KS deck before starting a new one.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the collectable playing card community isn't a big one. Definitely not big enough for journalists to take an interest. I think we're lucky enough to have even 2 forums.

As a commercial artist myself, I can tell you that you need to know your target audience and seek to please them. If you try to please too many people, you won't please any of them. When it comes to naked/sexy pin-ups, calenders, magazines, etc, you'll notice that it usually has either men or women, not both. Playboy doesn't devote half the magazine to naked men. A naked firemen calender doesn't have half the pictures of women. That's because the magazine or calender is targeted at people that are turned on by a specific gender, and would be very turned off by seeing the other gender on half the pages.

So, if your target audience is people who appreciate naked women, having 2/3 of the pictures be men is a major turn-off, and will hurt sales.
