Hey Paul, if you put the poo in a collector's box, sign the box, and seal it really well, I'll take one.

lmao. j/k. That would be disturbing.

Did you check out Cards Against Humanity's 2014 Black Friday sale?

This guys are just a bunch of spoiled kids... They can not take a comment/critic that they do not like.
About the Pearl edition I made a comment on the project page:
"Pearl edition limited to 500... all you have to do is up you pledge by $20...." this guys know how to make some money, even if it means lie on your face! With 1300+ backers it's easy to realize that this deck will be way over 500, my guess is 2500. You are paying $20 for a rare deck, but in reality you'll get a limited deck (as most of the other decks here in KS), and those do not cost $20 each...
Well, at least this move made them hit the embossing streach goal, and that's the only good new! Now lets hope that the embossing comes out as the mookups, which I strongly doubt, althought Elite design beautiful playing cards they could improve on tuck cases, most of their other decks are just plain and simple tuck boxes (with lucky you get some foil!!)
Bottom line: if you like the Pearl edition, then pledge for it, but do not expect any rare or super duper limited deck, is just another nice looking deck!
Well I know that I could choose better words, but saying that the deck is limited to 500 and that all you have to do is up your pledge by $20 that seems lying to me!
Response:
@Sergio Sousa, it looks like you are angry because we didn't offered you a "special deal" in the decks you asked. You are being very disrespectful so allow me to explain you something. Not every thing is about making money. If we wanted to make 2.500, or 5.000 we would. We could simply make a new project and make even more money. So we have limited the deck to 500 units only (and we can prove it) because we want to have a deck that is limited. Period. Lastly, your pledge will not be accepted.
So they mentioned a private email, from which I never got any answer, but at least they let me know that they will not provide me a "special deal". It looks like they were waiting for this for replaying to my email!
Althogh I like the decks they design, I can't deal with this kids again.

Lol what special deal did you mention, but im with you, i highly doubt they can limit the decks to the 500 they claim, i guess im out out this one even though i said i would reconsider. Thanks sergio for bringing this to light =)

The fact of the matter is that the Pearl edition is either a tuck swap (likely, although they do refer to it as a separate deck) or they're printing 2500 and shredding 2000 (highly unlikely). Unless they're using another printing company, but you'd think they'd inform people about that.
Elite wrote:A limited edition of 500 decks only, and no more will be ever printed. This IS our most rare deck and is set to become one of the most sought-after decks in the industry.
Sure sounds like it's a separate deck, but I wouldn't expect them to make the distinction between deck and deck+tuck.
sms69x wrote:They can not take a comment/critic that they do not like.
This is true, because... Well, let's just say that I'm high on their list of reasons for not coming to this forum

It was nothing realy special! I just requested if they could make me a deal of $10.83 per deck (shipping included), as they had done for me in the past for several times.

they're crooks and scammers and you're right, they cannot take any kind of criticism. I found that out when they had the "seed aces", which in my opinion was the stupidest idea I'd ever heard of. I was told that I would be refunded at the end of the campaign. I think I'm gonna go have a little fun over there.

The pearl edition is just a tuck swap, they don't say it clearly as they just want to grab some extra bucks form backers, but if you read in one of their messages:
Answering some of the questions, the pictures are clear. Same beautiful deck, premium gorgeous foiled and embossed white tuck.
So there you go... $20 for a nice tuck swap! I'm in!! oh sorry, they will not accept my pledge!!

I knew it was a tuck swap when the 2nd picture showed the regular deck, both front and back, laid out around the white tuck. If anyone went to the trouble of creating an actual new version of the deck, they'd show off the new designs, new back, new courts, etc, not just the tuck box.

"The pictures are clear" lol. Yes, but YOUR WORDS ARE NOT CLEAR. Oh right, they don't come here. Nevermind
Regardless, $20 for a tuck swap is a money grab like no other. Although it's not really even a tuck swap, it's just a tuck recolor. And if you wanna get really technical, white means there's less ink used so you actually pay more for less. It's like making a frozen pizza with mushrooms on it, then when people tell you they would like a version without mushrooms, you make one and sell it for more than the original.
The fact that they actually said "Not every thing is about making money" just makes it all the more hilarious.

Last I heard it was a 1000 minimum for a tuck swap at the USPCC, but they will work with you especially if you're a repeat customer. They might pay a little bit more per box for the 500. So, same cards, less color and more expensive. Wow! Oh yea, only 500...

Funny people don't say the same things when it's some other decks. A tuck swap is always a money grab, doesn't matter what deck it is or who the creator is.

In the comments, they mentioned "it's the same beautiful deck". I can understand if somebody likes the white color over the original but for them to say it'll be one of the most sought after decks is ridiculous!
For example if you have a deck with a green tuck that you bought for $10 then you realized that there's a brown tuck of the same exact deck as the green one you have, that cost $50 or more, would you be crazy over it?

It'll be hilarious if they noticed backers dropping $20 away from their pledges. If both tucks were released from the start, I think most would shoot for the maroon deck mostly. Maybe.

It seems that the Pearl edition will have gilded edges.... At least is not just a tuck swap.

Not to point fingers and yell conspiracies, but why wouldn't they announce that right away? Seems like they panicked from the reaction to the overpriced tuck swap and decided to add something after all.
Then again, I don't back them nor follow their updates, so if they did announce it right away just ignore me like any other crazy person

I have not, but I don't think they've started shipping them yet. Or at least their last update didn't indicate so (though they should now have the decks ready to be shipped).

We should get them before end of month. The white pearl decks were made at first without the gilded edges so that was a set back. We were shitting on that deck because they thought it was just another different tuck/same deck which is kinda is but since it's a gilded deck, it makes it "better".

Oh, we bought the same decks! (two white pearl, one normal) Anyways, if you opened one of your White Pearls, do they fan as badly as mine do? My pics are uploading to Imgur now.

If you want pics of anything let me know, I just took pics of stuff I thought was worth showing.
The gold edges on the White Pearl look pretty nice.

The thing though, is when I got mine out of the box, there were multiple cards stuck together, but no worries, I just went through and un-stuck them. Just a mild inconvenience.
And then I fanned them. Oh gosh, I'm not sure if it's just my deck, but they fan
awful.
The only deck I have used that fans worse than this, I don't even think was printed by the USPCC.
The cards arrived kinda bent (you might be able to see in the pic below.)
So my short review for the White Pearl deck: it's a pretty good deck if you don't mind the terrible fan.
The normal Collectors deck, on the other hand...
handles like a dream, and they also look
very nice. Kinda wish I had picked up another normal deck.

If its gilded, its expected that they handle badly due to the edges. Glad i passed on these, the backs looks as washed out as i imagined it to be.
