Gasp, I have to agree with Sprouts! They are definitely too similar that concerns me they would be too hard to tell apart when actually using them to play a game of cards. Shame, I love Randy's works and so far have every AB deck but this might be one I pass on. Also depends on what he's going to be able to do for UK backers. I can have them shipped to the US and then forwarded on but it's a pain.
Yea hopefully Erik might talk to Paul Middleton. He seems to be the trusted UK connection for bulk deals. I even heard Jackson is talking to Paul. Now all we need a good Asian and Australia connection to make it global for fulfillment.

@Randy - The black Joker is always 2nd to the Red or in this case Gold Joker. YUour work is top notch as always...

$11 for a pair in the US. These guys have completely lost their freaking minds.

It's $15 a deck. It's just hidden behind the shipping. If anything they're arguably cheaper than the preorder coz they charge shipping there.

They are definitely a little higher than normal. Instead of mailing each one of these by hand, we opted to use Amazon's fulfillment which is pricier, but will alleviate any issues if we have too many backers. The crazy thing is, the shipping isn't much higher than what we've already been paying, you just never saw it broken out until now. So those $15 decks? Still $15, it's just now you see where a lot of the money goes.

You can ship up to 8 decks in a small flat rate box. Charging the same shipping for each deck is ridiculous. I thought the excess costs were for the rights to print. So the truth comes out.

I preordered on the albinodragon.com website during black friday sale. Will those be shipped through amazon.com fulfillment as well?

Licensing costs are part of the equation, but that's also why we have to charge $8 instead of something lower. I try to give a discounted rate on the Kickstarters, but if you would feel better about paying $12 for a deck and $3 for shipping I'm sure we could try that next time.

I could ship in a small flat rate box. I could pack all of these by hand, but I'm not. I did that before and it eats up two months of my life. And let's just say I don't want to end up in the same place as a couple Cthulhu projects when it comes to shipping.

Wow I love these, I actually prefer the green deck though....

My favourite thing is the respiration mask inside the spades design.... gorgeous.

Whoever did the detailed drawings is obviously really skilled. Makes me want to watch the whole program again. I will deffo be grabbing a pack of these....

Also, you have chosen a really logical structure for the placement of the characters in the courts too. Totally makes sense to the program.

Kicktraq should rework their trending algorithm... in the real world this project is not trending towards 41K+ in funding.

Really? They are only 50% funded, no way they get $41k!

Even though kicktraq has adjusted the trending numbers down some, it is still way off. As I see it, this project will just barely reach it's funding goal of 10K (or maybe not), instead of the 16K+ that kicktraq is still showing. I imagine they are using some sort of curve fitting algorithm which doesn't mesh well with the topsy-turvy mannerism of most kickstarter card projects.

As a whole this is a really nice deck. I thought this would have been already funded. I know Breaking Bad had a huge fan base...

Kickstarter playing card market seems really soft right now. Last year this deck would've funded with no issues. Even the decks that are doing good would've done twice as good last year.

Everyone is doing Christmas and they've basically funded themselves out for a bit. The market has been flooded.

Nine days left for this project and it is starting to flat line. It could get a bump to push it over the edge, but without a good one this project might not fund. Note to self: project launches around the big money [sucking] holidays could be an iffy proposition.

As popular as the Breaking Bad series was, I am a bit surprised at the performance of this project.

I call it "Shipping Shock". People see $8, get all happy and click the "ZOMG! Must has!" pledge. Up pops a little script then they see $15 or $18 or $19. Think to themselves "That's double the price!" and click the "%$&! off" button.

Everyone knows what shipping runs, it's the season to ship everything everywhere. So when they see a deck that doesn't weigh anything and a shipping price of $7, the finger comes out and they go on their way. Breaking Bad is an incredibly popular series, but that popularity only goes so far. If Albino had chosen a different approach I think this would be well over funded at the moment.

I ended up backing yesterday despite having already pre-ordered from the albino site over black friday. Trying to do a little to help the campaign out. Even so I ended up backing at a higher pledge than I initially wanted to, 4 decks, just so I could cut the cost per deck down to something I can live with.

This is the first AD deck ever I haven't backed. Yet. Not sure if I will or not.

Not to worry... Santa came and made sure of funding with a $2,300+ bump in the kitty from only 4 new backers the day after Christmas.

Decided to back these in the end. He's delivered so far and I do like elements of the design enough to back.
