@Pixel Initialtive - Really like your Jokers just with just the red and black as the indices. Of course they need to be a bit more vertical. If a person losses or damages a card, all they have to do is write the rank and make the symbol for the suit with a white marker if they need to replace a card....

I like the back. Nice! And the Jokers! I much prefer the vertical indices for playability, but it is true that the quarter circles are unbalanced. Maybe not use perfect circles?

Well, now. This deck certainly does seem to have a lure.

Yes I hoped it would be a refreshing change from the white space, it's fully illustrated and a little informative too. I like to picture two friends fishing having a quick game of go fish with these....

Aside from agreeing with everything else, I also want to echo ^this^ statement. The pink doesn't match the rest of the deck IMO.

Hi, here is a possible response to the new design switching the indices to vertical.

I have tried a little something to fill the space in the quarter circle, rather then change the shape of quarter circle I have added detail to the gap. If I choose this the detail must be different for red and black due to the negative effect of the colours.

I know which I prefer but would like to see opinions first. :)

.
Here are the changes, thanks for highlighting this, the cards can now be held much closer together during game play...

Custom suit design - I have just sent my Kickstarter project to be checked and finalised by KS staff. Should here back in 1-2 days then I will launch it. Thanks so much for all the advise in getting this far.

This is a unique and special reward that will feature on my Kickstarter project. A chance to have your portrait illustrated in the style of the playing card of your choice... Could be a really fun feature and a great gift for someone also.

John Cleese looks nothing like a fish. Mick Jagger looks much more like a fish. As he's aged he often looks like a grumpy fish. May want to go that way instead. Just a suggestion. :)

Ha ha, its not necessary for it to be fishy for the portrait as if a backer chooses this reward it will be their face and I don't want to start making people look fishy, it will just cause offence :)

I do actually have a jagger vector portrait though perhaps this is worth considering, hmmm?

I like the new indices! Better and better each version IMO. But I agree with others that pink doesn't match the theme.

Naw, just keep with the Red and Black for now. So post your Kickstarter preview. We might find some mistakes before it gets approved. YOu have a functional deck...

Red is good, because traditional, but not pink. Of the new colors, I like the blue, maybe a little bit darker, because it matches the theme... but I think that the majority will prefer red.

Yes after going through everything I just feel the red and black are the only things that maintain the tradition of the card and I made it slightly pink rather then red as it sits more gently beside blue then stark red. Here is my Kickstarter link, I am still waiting for feedback from Kickstarter re my project but if you are willing to look through the more the merrier. Thanks so much all comments welcome :)

The prices look pretty good! Just a question about the shipping. It says "shipping anywhere". How will that be handled? International shipping can be pretty steep.

It's one of the oddities of the way they implemented the new shipping model. You can't see what that price will be when you're looking at a preview (normally it would pop up a list of countries with the prices for shipping & handling).

Yes, that's a problem. Even when the project is active, we can't compare easily the shipping of the different pledge levels.

I like the project. Hope the shipping price will be ok (£3 per deck for add-on seems high).

Hi, well I have discussed the use of the Hong Kong fulfilment centre, I have included some shipping rates into my overall projects pledge also but there will be separate small charge for posting decks to UK, Europe and rest of world if I have to import home first. If anyone has any last minute alarm with this or experiences to share that'd be great but it seems the Hong Kong fulfilment centre will handle all shipping for a good cost. This cuts out sending them to England and then to the customers. So lets keep fingers crossed. I want it to be a good bargain for people but UK has 20% import (I think highest in the world) so fulfilment centre will make this cheaper I think. Watch this space

Yes I will be using the Hong Kong fulfilment centre they have confirmed prices so I will be able to reduce the shipping costs. Great news.

Pixel Initiative - I see your going with Legends. They don't have Gaff cards with only 54 cards total in the deck the same as EPCC. If you want to do the image for a backer thing may I suggest do it with the 2 Jokers only. Don't do it with the court cards. Keep the theme with the fish.

Slow down and update you video. Keep it around 2 mins. Get another demo deck. This is the worst time to do a Kickstarter. Every day later than the new year is a person with a tax refund. Do it right the first time... Oh, by the way your cute. Have to keep up with the Sprouts image. http://www.unitedcardists.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=5706
