I just posted the following on the Bona Fide Playing Card Facebook page:

I've sat here for over two hours, refreshing the screen every five seconds, and the launch is now over two hours late; I hope you will give some kind of consideration for those that sat here waiting for the relaunch that didn't happen. Very disappointed, and now ready to give up and join my wife who has been asking for over two hours, "When are you going to be ready to go?"

I also apologize to anyone and everyone that joined me based upon my posting the relaunch time they gave me too!

BadPete69, Many, many Thanks for the offer and suggestions!

I am very much on Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/WillHartCthulhuWho1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

But, don't laugh, my wife and I are both now sitting here watching reports coming through from Barcelona, Spain, as follows:

"We're really sorry for this incident, definitely not a good start..."

"We run this project through a third party as we're from Spain, so we're depending on their verification, which is surprisingly and disappointingly (for us as well) late"

"So that's the reason, we're sorry for making you wait and yes, we are always grateful for the trust put in our work, so we'll take this incident into account"

So, we'll give them a little bit longer to get the relaunch going.

Isn't Mike running it? His name is on their profile at least.

Either way they seem to have their hands tied as they wait for whoever is running it to launch the project.

Edit - it's not officially postponed, they are hoping for some time this weekend still.

Yep, my fault. I knew Karine was relaunching this weekend, and I have been off the grid. I fixed the account connector when choosing has to be built per campaign instead of per account like before.

I lost a bunch of sleep trying to be there for the re-launch of these cards.

And having been the first backer, I can finally get some better sleep!

Do you think Tweets on Twitter like the one I just created will help this re-launch be successful this time?

I got 1 of each, great looking deck. But considering the only way to get the turquoise deck is when you get a pair or more, and those tiers are limited while the odd number deck tiers of only red decks are unlimited, I can't see how the red deck will also be limited to 1000 decks, same as the turquoise. Once the even number deck tiers are filled up (and half of those decks will be red), people will have no choice but to get the odd number all red deck tiers.

Will. I got all the sleep I wanted and then some. Jut got up and went to check if this was finally live (Ratman come on man) and was still able to get the pledge tier I wanted (only 1 was left) karma has always been good

I'm in for the single pair. Not a bad deck.

Send a note to the deck creators, and I'm sure they will correct the mistake by adding a single deck option for the Turquoise Deck too.

I wrote to the Deck Creators, and they just opened up 20 single Turquoise decks; so grab what you asked for before everyone else gets them!

I normally get just 1 deck, but that early bird 2 deck special means the second deck is only $5, which is a great deal. I think I'll stick with it. :) I was just wondering about their allocation strategy, where they said both decks will have the same number made, only 1000, yet the tiers were set up as if the turquoise is limited and you can get as many red as you want.

I was on the fence about these the first time around, but ultimately pledged for half a brick. This time its a pass for me because they switched to EPCC. And I was surprised to see they are claiming the EPCC is now doing a +/- 10% over/under run. I thought if you ordered X-number of decks, you'll get exactly that X-number of decks with the EPCC. . .

Aside from the over/under stuff I also wish it could be USPCC because I really liked the Bicycle-branded deck. I realize I was in a minority since the previous deck didn't fund. I'm not as excited about this one but I still pledged and would like to see this fund.

I was very pleased to see these decks launch again and I really hope they fund. I like the design on these and the reworking has absolutely gone in the right direction. Solid decks in my humble opinion. USPCC or EPCC LPCC that doesn't matter to me and I learn toward EPCC/LPCC over USPCC lately. I'm just really glad they're not MPC or something.... else.

I agree. Losing the Bicycle logo didn't seem to hurt much, it's over 50% funded already.

Strangely, I feel a Something Wicked This Way Comes post inbound... Maybe not an open & shut case for USPCC vice Exoeet/Legends much longer. Liberty, Apollo, others all come into play soon.

Interesting news Mike. Isn't Liberty and Apollo the same?

Both are owned by the Gambler's Warehouse group, now. Legacy has done a few decks lately, notably the black Legacy decks from 4pm, and a couple are funding on KS right now (Æsir Gold and another).

Apollo has traditionally done advertising decks but has both Heidelberg and digital (Kodachrome) presses. Eddie or Ally should be able to tell us more.

Are you sure that Æsir is Legacy's deck? Isn't it Doug Frye + Romanian DeveoMedia? I think they just use Gambler's Fulfillment.

The red and blue Æsir decks we're printed by USPCC but the gold will be printed by Liberty. At least that's what Doug said in the gold campaign.

That is correct. Eddie & Gambler's Warehouse have both Liberty & Apollo printers in Texas to the market to give us a two fold approach: decks in digital (Kodachrome, under 900) and offset lithography we are more used to from Heidelberg Speedmaster sheet fed for 1000+ decks. They can turn around decks in 30-45 days. Liberty did the Black Legacy decks from 4PM. Apollo formerly did mostly advertising decks, I believe. Eddie and Alyson should be able to fix that. I'm close....

2nd look - Giving it a bump. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ca ... ying-cards

I wish this would fund. It's custom and has good structure. I can't even bitch that she has a suit indicator in her Aces. If you embellish you aces so much that you kind-of lose the shape of the suit, maybe a suit indicator is ok. I'm noticing the Ace is becoming a even more special card. For a long time, only the AoS was embellished. More and more I'm seeing all 4 Aces customized. The Ace is the highest card in a Royal Flush. Should we start treating it like a court card? Should we start with a border like in the other court cards? The Ace has plenty of room for a border. You could look upon the Ace as the court symbol for the suit.

It seems the pips are a bit cramped. If you got the space use it.

Maybe starting with 2 decks at $15,000 is a bit to much for this theme. Maybe start with best deck and make the other least favorite deck a stretch goal with limit of 1000 decks. You could make 1000 with EPCC Besides it would be fun to listen to Tiffany at the USPCC squirm in her pants when you say "I'm giving Bill my business because you don't make 1000 runs anymore"

Question is which is the better deck?

I like the trend of making all the Aces more special. Other than the Ace of Spades, all the other Aces are really the most plain cards in a deck. However, even if all the Aces get blinged up, I'm still in favor of having the Ace of Spades embellished to a greater degree than all the other Aces to set it apart and above like its always traditionally been.

I see. I misunderstood the initial statement.
