Rhu, I've got my handy 1050dpi hand scanner at the ready but I'm just a wee bit busy at the moment. I _will_ get back to it, promise! I do have some interesting "oldies but goodies" as well as several esoteric decks that I can contribute that haven't even been seen here - at least a few, and that will encourage me to contribute more to our "Time Machine" forum as well.

I had given him over 500 scans last time... but since then, I have over 200 more.

I just created a drop box folder for him.

I still need to finish uploading the first batch! Might be a little while before the rest make it onto the site :)

I like the improvements to the site. Time for me to earn some more points.

Is there a quick way for me to see which decks I've uploaded images to in the past?

Unfortunately not, I'm facing a similar issue trying to work out which CBJ scans I've already added :)

Added! :) Sort of ...

It's an early feature, so you have to add a deck to your collection, then edit that deck entry to put in how many you have for trades/wishlist... early days! Working on the deck pages to smooth this process out :)

You start out being able to simply say "I have this deck", and by doing so you get contributor score (it's basically all I've done so far). But then when you get to 5000 point (for example) you then get the access to add images, and more score, and so on and so on.

Something for the idea bank anyway!
I actually like this idea a lot! I need to add limits to the point system so it's not abused, but definitely something to work towards.

- *** Mentioned this before (edit - looks like montecarlojoe did as well). There needs to be a way to add a deck to your collection directly from the main entry. There should be a HUGE button 'Add to my collection', but there's not even a small link for it. The only way I've seen to add this is to find the deck, then click the company where you can increase the count from 0 to 1. This is even more difficult for decks without a company since it's not clickable and then you have to navigate all the way down to 'unknown' and find it to add it. Example
Added :)

I really like the way things are going. I have begun a Access DB for my collection, but I think I will go on PlayingCardDB.com instead. Great work!

I've been adding decks and scans to the DB today and for some reason two of the decks duplicated themselves and now listed twice. I am unable to delete decks so currently they are marked as DUPLICATE DELETE on the end of the deck name. Sorry about that, didn't mean to flood the DB with duplicates. Also I am unable to edit deck info for any decks that were not added by me, is everyone in the same boat as me?

That's fine, as long as you mark it as "delete" that's perfect. I'll get to it eventually :)

Updated your status to "Super Mod" (I need to think of better names!), so you'll be able to edit existing content now. You're now trusted not to break the site! ;)

So far I think only rhu, joe and myself have ability to edit all decks (although only name/description/company for joe and myself). As for deletions, rhu is still the only one that can do that. I think we all have to earn his trust and he also wants to improve the UI and further testing for admin edits before opening it up.

Ahhh I still need to fix that, sorry!

As a side note I want to give users the ability to contact each other on the site, but I want to keep it minimal:

My two thoughts were having a very basic private messaging system, or just a contact box where the site emails the user on their behalf? I want to give the bare minimum to help people contact each other for trades without taking responsibility for hosting trades :)

Thoughts or opinions on this?

Cool - with that we can recycle the test records by simply editing them.

I'll avoid trying to recycle duplicates though as i have no idea who has added which to their collection...

I've been marking quite a bit with " - DELETE - " prefix so rhu can locate. I noticed it shows when people add to collection, not sure if it shows removal, but those without any reference of being added should be able to be deleted or I suppose recycled if preferred.

For some reason when I try to upload an image for Steampunk Pirates deck it gives me the following error:
Error Message
Error Message
I have tried several times and no luck. This is the only deck entry so far that does that.

Looks like you got it to work? If not specify which or the 2 decks it doesn't work for and play with name changes. I got similar error that I forgot to report. In my case I think it was a character in the deck or image name that was throwing it off. After changing it worked.

Still doesn't work. There are now 3 Pirate decks. For the other two it worked and for the standard Steampunk Pirates deck it gives this error. I tried changing the name of both the deck and the image and still nothing. Even tried uploading image that i used for Black Flag and still got an error. Strange :?
