These are amazing, Jason! I am really looking forward to hoping to get a few. Will it just be the "Bankroll" deck that is kept tucked away (no pun), I assume? Really beautiful deck :D

That Bankroll deck looks like a must have, especially for people whose name starts with a "S". Well for everyone I suppose.

Couple of guys asking specifics about the numbers in circulation:

Run (standard) - 20K decks - Limited - $9.95

Run: Heat Edition: 10K - Limited - $14.95

Run: Bankroll Edition - 5K - Limited - Not for sale - available through contests, give-aways and will be available to dealers who order in bulk.

The first series of Run with have the hard card case with the deck - The 2nd Edition of the Run series (in process) will not have the hard outter case. Hope this helps! We are getting inquiries and wholesale reservations on Run on a daily basis. I don't expect this first series to last long.

I have had many long and heated debates about the pricing as the outter boxes are crazy expensive to produce. However, this is a deck that I want people to use. I don't want them to be too expensive that folks just collect them and they just gain dust. So we placed them at $9.95 with the outter case for this first series.

*takes out chequebook*

How many decks would I have to order to qualify for a Bankroll Edition?

Differences in the concept of limited not withstanding, the prices are pretty great. I'm absolutely in. :)

Holy cow those courts look classy!

These are pretty fantastic, and that price point, wow.

Ok, so - where/how can we get these?

It's a good chance we can get a Bankroll deck but the question is how much will the dealers sell them for?

I would not pay much premium on a deck that will be considered common in today standards. 5000 decks is a lot, not even remotely close to being rare. With time these will be available everywhere even if they are not for sale initially. Take the madison private reeserve deck that was selling for almost $400 initially. It had also a run 0f 5000. I guess he got tired of sitting on so many decks as i have seen them as low as $40 in one instance

I would consider anything print run of 1000 and below rare . We saw some example of decks selling out fairly quickly at 1000 print run

In the end i think with some patience you will be able to get it at a decent price

Another one from the whiney generation!
(For the new guys, that's an inside joke, not really dissing our boy Pierre ;)).

I misread the previous post. 20,000, 10,000 and 5,000 decks is insane. That's THIRTY FIVE THOUSAND decks! Throwing the "rare" and "limited" label on them is a mean joke. They'll still be available for purchase well after the sun dies.

Aside from Chad or Mike buying like 20 bricks of each, most of us will more than likely buy way, way less than that. So that price will pretty much guarantee that you'll be sitting on those for years. Even Jackson, who printed much less than that is looking to get rid of his surplus.

hehehe well said Eog.. I like the decks and will be buying 1 of each but like I said I won't be in any rush to pay a premium for that super duper limited extra rare deck

I think this used to be the case, but now that anyone and everyone can make a 1000 print-run deck with the Asian manufacturers (and maybe sometime in the near future with USPCC as well), I don't know if we can consider even 1000 decks "rare" anymore. Sure, strictly speaking, numerically 1000 is less than 2500/5000, but if there is going to be a flood of decks produced in 1000 deck print-runs, then the concept that a 1000 print-run deck is "rare" goes out the window for me.

While we can debate whether a deck that made in a print-run of 1000 is rare or not, I'm pretty sure no serious collector will ever try to argue that 20,000 and 10,000 deck print runs are "rare". I think Jason tagged those numbers as "limited" not in the sense that they're low in numbers, but rather that they're not going to be printed again. Even the standard Run deck won't be printed with the hard card case again.

I think this is a fantastic looking deck, and the fact that you can get a premium hard card case included with each standard Run deck for under $10 is phenomenal. The hard cases look so much better than Pack Jackets as well. I'm eagerly looking forward to these.

Exactly! Also keep in mind that Murphy's Magic supply Magic shop all around the world so you can be sure that these decks will fly.

Finally, I really have to praise Jason for sharing the numbers, kudos !

I'd consider 5,000 decks of this Bankroll edition to be "rarer" and more sought-after in my eyes than the absolute majority of 1k-2,5k run of Kickstarter decks. The KS decks are limited because of lack of interest in comparison to their price, had more people wanted them they'd be hitting higher print-runs. That's not the case here.

The Run deck is a deck that I'd use. I know the courts will be custom but at the same time sane and not too far away from the standards that they become novelty, and the design isn't gimmicky the way many KS decks become.

Agree with what everyone has said, but my bias may come from the scope of the market. We have sales channels outside the magic & deck colletion markets and 40% of this stock has been reserved by dealers and large retail chains, Amazon, Touch of Modern, to name a few. So, as to where these numbers, by the standard of the deck collecting world may be high, the scarcity will dictate demand. And from the looks of it, scarcity is going to be an issue. I'm already in the throes of a version 2 just to keep the series of Run on the shelves. I'm sure the invisible hand will dictate after-market price on it's own as it always does.

Why do you need a Series 2 for that? Just print another run the same. When and where do these go on sale?

There'll be slight changes (so far the main one I know of is that the outer case will not be included in the second edition), so it only makes sense to make it different editions.

Since they are produced and distributed by Murphy's they'll be available at most online retailers I assume. I do have a preliminary release date, though I'm not sure I am at liberty to reveal it just yet. The latest official word is November, so you have at least two weeks to save up. ;)

I left Murphy's last fall so I'm just trying to help out clearing up a few questions as a fellow forum user now. :) However, you should be able to find the correct person to contact here: http://www.murphysmagic.com/Information/Contact.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Here are two more pictures of the Bankroll Edition for those interested. My favorite, and naturally they ended up making this one limited to 5,000 and not up for sale. Story of my life. :)
