"I know this one-way design could be misunderstood by some of you"

@MagikFingerz - True, but I'm saying it's an art deck so far. The pips are "1-way" but what is interesting you can read the pips at a distance and read them as traditional. His courts will show what his theme is all about; Big ass nut on the top right and all.

The faded pips look so out of placed. Keeping the (full) pips all the same will look better.

That's exactly what I wanted, my friends. thanks a lot for your comments. Honestly, I have not tested the cards with all the pips the same as the shadowed pips were an idea from the beginning but I think. I will check in some cards just to see the effect.

In the meanwhile, go on with the feedback. I love it...

As said before, this part of the cards was an "artistic license" :) but any artistic expression can be obviously loved and hated :) it was spontaneous but I simply let it as it was in the beginning and have not come back to it till now.

Anyway, what I would also like to know is if those of you than don't like it, would like only the version with all the pips identical or if the problem is the shadow. I did a version with the hole the pip would do in the metal in case someone stole it.

I have a problem with the shadow. I would like to see the version with a hole in the pip.

I would definitely prefer the pips to be all the same, perhaps a gaff could be a number card with the pips hollowed out

I don't really like the shadow pips where they are. Maybe you could try putting them in the middle of the whole pips and see how that looks.

But then what would happen to 2's and 4's?

This is the idea I was thinking on...

Second would be the "classic" pips

Third is something in the middle :)

@Max - Like 2 & 3. 1 doesn't work. The shadow like in 1 doesn't work, but the recessed missing iron pip in 3 does work if you want it... Let's see some courts. Just curious, is there some logic in your screw tight placement in the top right? Trying to figure it out.

Definitely #2 for me, and I think most people would agree. But it's your deck, and it's otherwise cool enough for me to want one anyway :D

Yup me too, I retain my opinion that the shadows can be used as a gaff card. But the second one is the way forward.

ok, I understand... Then, what about the symmetry?

Using lights and shadows the symmetry doesn't exist at all.

One option is a subtle one-way with a like two-ways design

Hearts4_1W_p.jpg
Clubs9_1W_p.jpg

that gives coherence to the whole card and changes a bit when you rotate it

and another is a two-ways design

Hearts4_2W_p.jpg
Clubs9_2W_p.jpg

that creates some kind of optical effect in the pips below (at least I have that sensation) but that remains the same when rotating.

This deck was thought for magicians and I would like to know which one do you think would be more appealing to them (and to you?).

Hey Max! I really like the style of this deck - very cool. Though I do prefer all of the pips being the same, rather than some shadowed and some not. Just out of curiosity have you tried some with all shadows? A "Shadow" deck just sounds cool...

Damit Max the corner element "The screw" is freaking me out. Now it doesn't turn anymore. My OCD will not stand for that. If the screw was a clock, it would be 2:45 or 8:45. I suggest you start at 12 and 6 starting with the A, 2,... Remember you have 13 cards so after about 6 screws in you would be at about 3 and 9. Hmm, what should the jokers screws be? Have you made a demo decks like at the MPC to see how your colors and detail show up? If this deck goes through the USPCC are you going to use smooth? Jackson who is  in like Flynn  at the USPCC says you will lose some of your detail going embossed. It seems like any art deck traditional elements or not should use smooth.

I really like both designs. Had to pull it up on my computer before I saw the one-way in the first set. I'm not a magician so it doesn't matter if it's one-way or two-way.

I still don't get it, both sets of pics look the same. As long as the pips look like that, should be fine.

I like the darker and more shadow-ed one, i think the slight difference in flipping the card really doesnt affect anything =)

Thank you. I have been playing and rotating with both and it is funny sometimes :)

Well, I want the screwa just like a small game. I don't try to make any marking system (that would have no sense in the fronyts). I have not made any prototype... The screw in the jokers is the same as in the rest. I will use the Bicycle air cushion finish as the idea is to use this deck with the standard rider back decks... I don't understand that think about Jackson, sorry.

Which one do you refer to? All the pips are the same.

Thanks for your comments!

Huge fan of anything shiny, it reminds me of the Bicycle Steampunk deck, but with more class.

Sorry for the long silence.

I have not stopped working all this time but It is no easy at all to deal with all the USPCC requirements to get the approval. You go back and forth all the time.

I am really happy it is already approved and the press is almost ready.

Now, feel free to spread the voice and back it if you like

Thanks for your support and patience!

I want both an uncut sheet *and* a commemorative coin, but none of the pledge tiers allow for both. Can I "add on" for an uncut sheet?
