Reminds me of something I did over 25 years ago... this pic is from one of my old engineering notebooks.

Looks very similar! That's awesome that you still have your engineering notebook from 25 years ago. Thanks for sharing.

I like alt #3 the best as it matches your JOKER design - I'm all about consistency

Here's what may be the final version of the diagonal design. Thoughts?

The diagonal pattern. Hands down. Backers and the community felt the diagonal pattern was the best.

On the second row you have 4 planes - modify one for your suit marking

1st plane - clubs
2nd plane - hearts
3rd plane - spades
4th plane - diamonds

thinner wings, or like you said, something with the tail

Good call.

I think I got it figured out. This will work. Awesome.

What are the odds of making the green bling to this tuck a little with some foil or metallic ink? Maybe as stretch goal material if not on launch. I think it would make this tuck pop and be very attractive. If it's matte on matte... I don't know, more of a mood thing for me.

Fes,

Great feedback. I already have foil queued up as a stretch goal. Just haven't 100% decided. Here's what I was thinking... adding foil to the airplanes on each side of the tuck. Just to give it that touch of luxury. I'm tad shy of foil on the entire tuck. What do you think?

I'd ditch "Luxury" from the face of the tuck too. If you foil the name of the deck "Jetsetter" and the airplanes on the sides, yea may have the pop you're after. :) Going to go straight matte on the back of the Tuck as well?

I do like this tuck much more than your other tuck. Curious to see what other changes you've made to the deck. How far off are we from seeing some of that?

I do like the suggestion regarding "Luxury" on the face of the tuck. I added "Luxury" because I was working on a Luxury Edition and a Standard Edition. The luxury version would say "Luxury Playing Cards" and the standard version would just say "Playing Cards" on the face of the tuck. However, I like the suggestion because on the other side of the tuck, I have two lines like the side you see... top line (larger font) says "Jetsetter Playing Cards" and the bottom line (smaller font) says "Luxury Edition." I'll have to ponder this more as I am not sure if I would even go forward with the Standard Edition. The primary focus is the Luxury Edition.

That's a great call on foiling Jetsetter. That would make the stretch goal much more appealing.

Currently, the back is straight matte. I decided not to have the card back displayed on the back of the tuck. Due to the luxury nature of the tuck, I am reserving that for the Standard Edition - if that version ever sees the light of day.

Many of the changes have already been made. Just finalizing the majority of them and then going to focus on the ideal time to relaunch the Kickstarter. I really do not want to make the deck into a collectable deck but I want it to be functional and appealing deck to anyone and everyone.

Relaunch date hasn't been set. However, making significant progress towards relaunch. At some point, I'll just be waiting for the right time to press the submit button.

Let me know before you do so I can grab an EB for both editions.

I really dig the color scheme of these. Not enough Green and white decks out there. Looks so good and clean. The color scheme is the main reason I love my Madison Dealers.

And the luxury or first class edition is gonna be BANGING with some green foil. Do it!

Here are the latest mockups of the Jetsetter Playing Cards. These will be printed by Legends Playing Card Company if funded on Kickstarter.

I really like the card back you're showing. Much more interesting and appealing than the previous ones. It's interesting that you've gone with a small Jet on the ace of spades, I think you could fit a larger one in the same space and it may possibly have a slightly more dramatic appearance. "Luxury" playing cards. Luxury and all forms of the word seem to have been littering the landscape lately. I wonder if you wouldn't consider the suggestion Joe made earlier "First Class" instead. They pretty much mean the same thing but First Class would fit really quite well with the theme.

Looks like you're getting close to launching these. Will the be showing up next month?

Thank you, Fes! I'm really split with filling the Ace with the airplane icon. Nothing is final though so I'll still ponder any design changes before the Kickstarter launch. I love trying all feedback. I've always been open to it.

I love the "First Class" idea. Here's my justification to the "Luxury" term... I wanted to take this deck to a higher level than the first launch. LPCC and I discussed how we could create a deck that even a private jet owner would buy and stock a couple on his or her plane. We wanted to pass that feel to the card community too. I agree about the "Luxury" term littering the landscape. However, I am striving to create a deck will truely have that luxury feel to it. But... I love feedback so I'll implement "First Class" and gage the vibe.

I dont see luxury here, i see a minimalistic design. Still way too stardard for me, you have just one artwork of a plane, plastered all over the deck. It could work for a airline deck, but its gonna be tough fund in the playing card community

I understand your concern around being too standard. However, luxury isn't defined by the design. Luxury can be minimalistic or elaborate. Just use a Louis Vuitton bag or a Movado watch as an example. Both luxury items, yet can be very minimalistic by design. The process and materials come into play as well.

I have roots in both private aviation and playing cards so I'm looking to gain funding from both communities. During my first campaign, around 50% of the funding was from FBOs and private jet operators looking to stock one or two decks on each of their planes and/or provide the playing cards as gifts to their clients. Will it be tough to fund via the playing card community alone? Absolutely. Any NEW deck can have its obstacles. I know this but after being in the private jet industry in my prior career for almost 10 years, there is a place on a private jet for playing cards. In addition, if these get funded - I know they'll be on the planes of quite a few cool individuals.

Indeed, luxury can also be conveyed through the materials and process in which it is done. The problem here is that there is no way to distinguish your deck in terms of materials and process, the only distinguishing factor here is the design, so yes in playing cards luxury is defined by the design unless you can use different materials (like what lotrek did with his venexiana gold) which you are not. For a design to be minimalistic and yet feel luxurious is not as simple as it seems, and yours doesnt evoke the same kind of notion. White and green are not colours you would associate with luxury as well.

On to your point about the aviation community, i hope you have not exhausted all your resources the first time around. Although 50% of the funding in your first campaign was from them, it was just shy of $2000 in actual figures. It is not quite the sum you seek, so i would say that the playing card community is definitely needed for you to get your deck funded.

ps. Its been a long time since ive posted a long post ;)
