I have a feeling way more than the 5000 deck minimum will be printed (even though I'm sure Dan and Dave are going to claim these will be limited) because this will be their last chance to cash in on the S&M series. It was pretty clear way more than 5000 of the v.6 were printed, so I don't see things changeing with these. I'm sure they already have an attic or closet in their storeroom where they're going to put hundreds of bricks in so they can "discover" this stash several months after this release.

If anyone is trying to do the math...

Haha he got famous for his Black and White videos and first few versions of S&Ms was also in Black and White maybe that's why he got it. I like him tho , cool and eccentric

Yes, that's the one drawback.
But I would love to see more seals designed this way.
Maybe even designing around the perforation, so I don't feel like I'm cutting through pretty things with a knife when I open some of my decks.

Am I the only one wondering that price they may sell these at? These are the last edition (they say), so you'd think D&D will try to grab as much cash as is possible.

My thought (and I'll probably be completely wrong ) is that they could list them for $9.99 or perhaps even more - the vast majority of us will buy during the Black Friday period - with 15% off - giving them an extra shot of profit from the S&M line whilst offering a 'discount'.

My thinking is that with the number of the community who'll pick up bucket loads - and after the whole Pedale thing - there is no reason for D&D to be putting out a special discount for S&Ms (even with it being Black Friday) - they will sell out very quickly unless they have printed much more than 10k. This strategy also allows them to make more profit when they find a few gross extra later on

At $85 a piece that's a mere $850,000 in sales. (Lets be generous and say they cost $4 per deck to manufacture - and we know it won't have cost that much - it leaves a profit around $609,000!)

It just shows that D&D are waayyy ahead of me in scale for a cash grab.

I really really wanted some of the S&M Si Scott artwork decks. I would have bought some of those no question. The whole set though, and with a run of 10,000 each, well that's a bummer. Interesting choice on their part, not sure how that will work out. I do know that there won't be any rush, I can't imagine they will sell 10,000 sets of these any time soon.

I'm going to try to get the set but i was really looking forward to see a brand new design by si scott for v7 ... instead it looks like he only designed the new box

I just realized the v.7 is just another polka-dot deck! Nothing new or innovative about it, just another color change as usual. It looks like the only new thing Si Scott did was the box that holds the six decks! So they just reprint old designs (which they said wouldn't be done), slap a new deck seal on them, and charge OVER $15 PER DECK when you factor in shipping. And of course their site is down. Damn I hate these bastards! I can get 5 Silver Split Spades for every S&M deck and still have a little change left over.

Long time since I've been on here. Hope your all well. Just thought I'd give my thoughts, disappointed pretty much sums it up, I was hoping for a new back design so they could go out with a bang but nothing very inventive. I've got all the previous editions and so getting the v7 deck would be nice but $85 and then $30 or so international shipping plus the chance of getting customs charged has definitely put me off. It's a shame I wont get to complete the set but I should have known better, maybe they'll appear on ebay sometime soon.
