Don't worry everyone...I'm not going to start printing a bunch of re-colors of the Imps. I've only ever intended to release Red & Black versions.

I also wanted to be able to self-fund this deck as best I could, I didn't feel it was right to go on Kickstarter and raise money for a deck that was just a "re-color."

Had a fun time trying to create a new tuck box for this edition, and I kept coming back to the simplicity of the original tuck box...so the best thing I could do was to combine elements from both Original and Special Ed. tucks. Printing on the inside is a bit more expensive, and although the entire outside of the box is black foil, I was able to keep the cost lower than the special edition decks because of the larger limited run of 5000 (instead of 2000 like the SE).

I hope you enjoy what will be a wonderful pairing to the Original and Special Edition Whispering Imps. Look forward to "v2" & "v3" later this year.

Hopefully that green text on the QofH that says anchor won't be there in the final print (unless it's meant to be of course).

I'm trying to stay away from decks with standard courts but the tuckbox has me torn.

I'm usually the same. I started collecting because of decks with fully custom courts that were not variations of standard courts, and most of my collection consists of decks that meet this criteria. However, I'd recommend getting at least one. You may like it more than you think. Although I love custom, non-standard courts, my favorite deck is actually a deck with recolored and slightly modified courts and pips. The description of the tuck box was just too awesome to pass up and looks even more amazing in person.

Anyway, a tuck box that's covered almost completely in black foil is definitely unique and something worth seeing in person, at least in my opinion.

This is a pretty nice deck. Maybe I'll pick up a deck.

I have the red special edition one and I keep holding and adoring it's beauty while trying to convince myself of never buying it again.

Standard style and colors sure... but the courts are not "standard" in that they are the ones we are "familiar with" a 808 deck. The whispering imp deck uses older courts that were seen on cards back in the early 1900s

Well, we've had this discussion before. People have different definitions of "standard" and "custom". These are definitely standard in my book, along with any other set of traditional courts that have been "staples" in more than one deck.

These are definitely standard, just like how arrcos are standards

He, He. Not only did I order but, I convinced someone else who was hesitant because he didn't have the originals to order them AND get the originals (although he'll have to look elsewhere for the black tucks since those are sold out on the Whispering Imps site). I don't feel guilty at all! :D

I missed out on the first round because I was way too overextended but came back and picked up a sixer of these and will be picking up another six pack of the Reds.

Thank you everyone who has supported this release of Whispering Imps. Means a lot!!

So sorry @caramelo. It would actually be in your best interest to get two or three decks with shipping to Europe (it's $1.50 more to ship two & three decks than one). I wish I was able to control the costs of shipping in this country, but I'm literally charging what it costs to get a deck to Europe from the United States... I don't add handling or hidden fees (or my time to pack and ship each order...or cost of bubble wrap, boxes, and en velopes). Just trying to be fair...and accurate. I feel this attention to detail to ensure each deck arrives in perfect condition is what you can expect and should expect from the "little guys" like me.

You get a free sticker too (while supplies last of course) :)

Chris, will there be a special edition of the Black Version that will be released later as well? Thanks!

At the moment, I do not have a special edition for the black editions. As a startup, this was a rather tall investment for the 5000 decks that I had manufactured so there wasn't much room left for a special edition. Perhaps in the near future if the demand for it is there, but I'm 6 months in on v2's and v3's that the SE Blacks would most likely follow that. Either way...something to look forward to with the Whispering Imps.

I'm a few weeks away from revealing more about v2's.

Yes, we do.

Not to pick a scab, or to push my point, but just to clarify - Certainly the courts are "familiar" but they are not the run of the mill defaults seen in what... 90% of the decks printed in the U.S.? Chris picked images that fit the theme of his deck and obtained art that would have been available during the golden era of magic. "I think" original courts would not have "fit" the vision Chris had for this deck - and so because he chose something outside of what we normally see... "for me" they are not ... vanilla... default... standard... average... normal....

Thank you for your concern.
The problem is that if I by 3 decks of cards I'll be paying like a extra deck in customs duties.
I can just buy 2 decks max per turn.
Last month I buy a couple of bundles in Ellusionist store, about $75 USD plus $30 in shipping, the package arrive day 7 of May in customs and has not yet arrived to me. After some mails and a call with them (customs) I had to send a statement that the decks were not for commercial purposes and that I am a collector.
In short, I expect to pay an extra $50, more or less.
Is easier to buy a deck to a private individual because he puts on the external packaging a lower purchase price. A commercial store can't.

But in any way, thanks.
I'll by a couple, Love your decks.

Put in an order for 2 decks. I would purchase 3+, but too many nice decks coming out this year. Was the market this vibrant last year?

This tuckbox is going to look puuurrrrty nice. I'm gonna have to set up a display shelf for these. All of my decks are in cardboard boxes, and that's just a waste what with all these awesome tuck boxes to show off.
