Completely agree. Something's just not right with 1 and 2, the spyglass effect just looks a bit strange. And I don't like 4 at all, despite my past expressions of fondness for borderless designs.

Number 3 is solid.
I think he's on the right track and he teased that new courts are coming. I'll be upping my pledge.

Personally I like the design on 1 and 2 the best, Not a big fan of 3 or 4. What would be interesting is to do a combination of 1 and 2, potentially releasing two decks being Night and Day versions. The Day version would be based off design 1 and could have the same elements, light background and boarder, but both circles would hold the bottom circles day image. The Night deck would be based off design 2 and could have both circles with the night, top circles, design. This would also solve the one way back issue.

Like the idea of a night and day deck with two-way backs. Not sure these folks want to play the multi-deck game though. This is a novelty deck they're adding to a group of products and most who buy it wouldn't appreciates the nuances of wonks like us.

I think this is a good suggestion as well. But perhaps start off with one deck, I would prefer the "day" option

]Hey there all - Thanks for the feedback on the back design - we've just updated our first pass at the new courts - I realize there isn't the variety of animals you were looking for, but we are pleased with the consistency of the overall deck and the variety in the new courts. Take a look at our campaign and let us know your thoughts. Again, this would not have happened without your feedback, so thanks! - Kraig

I like the changes, any way to change the red Kings so the King of Diamonds is the 1-eyed king as it is in a standard deck?

We will definitely look at the King of Diamonds prior to finalizing the deck- thanks for the tip! - Kraig

I'm not feeling the new back designs, they don't fit the faces any more.

I really want to pledge for this deck but something's stopping me.

I was expecting the court cards to be different animals, so these didn't have quite the variety I was looking for, hence I didn't keep my pledge, but It was a pretty good deal for international backers

Got mine delivered on Saturday or Monday. It feels like I've been waiting on it forever, but really it was pretty quick in just 2 months and on time.

Only issue is the Frontier deck and that hunting club deck I picked up really bit into the unique/exclusive feeling this used to have for me. I still like it quite a bit though and it's a USPCC deck so the quality is as expected. It also has some neat design elements like some of the split pips on number cards, but it just feels like more of a neat playable deck than a collector to me. Not that it's a bad thing, but that's just the vibe I get from it. Of course not having red suits would hurt play-ability for some people/games. No regrets though, glad to have it in hand.

The Frontier decks looks like they need help. I think most KS project should just stick to one deck instead of two unless it's a great design(er).

I agree, and have said that myself before. And it's becoming more evident lately. New creators on KS should stick to one deck because it is hard enough to fund just one deck especially if you haven't built a fan base or customer base, so why many are launching 2 decks I don't know, I do know that it isn't working. If you've got a fan base and have had other successful projects then by all means go for it, it will fund, like Get Made. But if it's your first time around, it won't likely fund.

Will here from the frontier deck,
Just dropping by to say hi and share why I have two decks as a first time KS,
I can't speak for the other new KSs but my having two decks came from changing ship halfway. I finished the first deck and couldn't stand to leave out so many animals - at the end of it, I feel I made a set of playing cards rather than two stand alone decks. Thus, the two decks. In hindsight, it would have been easier to plan of just one deck - but the business side of KS never came to mind when designing.
btw, do you have any of these mysterious 'fan bases' I can have?

You should talk with some of the other creators about cross promoting your projects, it might help a bit.

Interesting deck but I think more could have been done about the box.

This deck is animal themed and yet there is no indication on the box :?
