I'm digging it. I like that this project has taken a while, to be honest. The mad rush of people flinging anything and everything onto cards is getting tiresome and it's nice to see some thoughtful deliberation and "it will be out when it's ready" attitude.

Very nice! He's about out of decks to sell on his website, the "Black Label" White Lions are all gone. The only thing left is Red/Blue WL2 and SS/Silver + that 3-deck 'magic' set.
Time to collect some money!

Well he can certainly collect my money for these decks.
They look nice. Hoping they have the same sort of price structure that Blaine's decks normally have.
He normally prices his decks very fairly in my opinion.

Sweet sweet sweet! I want to see this and an Imp side by side. They both have that asymmetrical character thing going on.

What a fantastic tuck. I don;t have any of his decks but I assume these are standard cards?

I'm hoping it's the same stock as the Tally Ho Split Spades. That stock was AMAZING for flourishing.

Those were printed in Ohio, so I'm pretty sure that won't be the case.

Well, factory can't happen, that's for certain, but I sure don't put it beyond Blaine to have purchased a few rolls, either. Heck, could be UV500, but I am not counting on it.

UV500 was a proprietary stock that was for the exclusive use of Ellusionist only, Blaine does not have access to it (no one does now because E discontinued it due to the high cost and a minimum order requirement that was too high for E). It was just basically Ohio casino grade Bee stock with a special UV treatment.
I agree that the original Split Spades and the Ohio Split Spades Lions were one of the best decks for cardistry, and a great value as well back in the day. I always appreciated the fact that Blaine has kept his prices for his custom decks reasonable and I hope that continues with the Gatorbacks.

The price for all his decks went up around a month ago by about 30% - but that could easily be because he's short on stock of what's currently left until the gator backs hit.

Based in David's Instagram post on July 15th saying the Gatorbacks will be released this month, these should be released by thursday.

Any idea of a release date for these? Two weeks ago they eluded to a July release but that seems to have not materialized.

I received a reply from the David Blaine online store customer support. They do not have a release date for the Gatorbacks yet.

finally a release date! It was a very long soooooooooooooooooooooooooon to be released :p
I´m curious about the price tag on those. the international shipping rates are very high at davidblaine.com
Depending on the price of the deck, price of int. shipping, print run, features of this deck, special goodies when buying bricks (maybe a DB Microsoft promo deck?!?!) etc. i might be in for a brick.
Last time during the Black Friday Silver Split Spades Sale - which was really the only good deal on last years Black Friday ..$2.95 a deck - but shipping to germany for a brick was $53.95.
Well we will see on Sept. 1st

Sounds like I'll be in for a brick then. Kind of didn't want to have to go that heavy as September is already hurting me and it's not even here yet.

A deck with such a blinged up tuck box for only $5 a deck ? It's a bargain to say the least. Damn this is gonna be one expensive month, with the upcoming releases

I think it's a minimum of 12 decks to get the $5/deck price for the first 24 hours - then I'm figuring that price ** disappears **

True, but when was the last time you bought a brick of anything for $60 + S&H? That's a bargain, especially for these decks!
