What the Deuce, I do not buy cards on the fact they are limited but when they say limited I think they should be limited. These are still on sale. Glad they are still availible for those who want them but it is this kind of marketing that pisses a Walrus off.

'Limited' isn't new in marketing. Anyone who payed $100+ for a gold arcane or red artifice can tell you that. There were 5000 of those made.

I did not mean to say my angst was reserved only T11. It is quite obvious to me that more than 5,000 of the Madison decks were printed. At least we know, and new from the start, how many Red Artifice were made. I think 5,000 from a major company is worthy of being labeled limited.

Its all about Marketing! Putting the word Limited will entice collectors! I see now why T11 does not say how many has been printed on a certain to deck.

Has anyone received their Players Deck yet? Maybe someone can post a short review. Is it worth buying a brick for these? lol

There is a huge difference . Ellusionist tells you the number of cards printed, T11 hides their print number. They can print 10000+ and still make people think there were only 5000 printed

T11 was upfront that limited simply referred to the fact that there would not be another print run of this specific design, not limited in terms of only x-number of decks printed.

Because of such an obvious advertising of the T11's deck (I don't have nothing against the deck itself).

Just IMHO for young adherents of playing card collecting: It's better to have self-respect and to take useful information but not instructions to act from any advertising. You shouldn't wait for your driving license to start to use your brains. And it's better to train them from the early start. About jokes... well...many a true word is spoken in jest. There are a lot of hidden advertising around us nowadays (on UC also). Even my turtle is an evil genius  Peace!

Ok here we go.

The marking system:
simple to learn easy to read. The card will need to be somewhat close since the markings are so small, so keep that in mind. But overall goes unnoticed by the untrained eye.

Design:
Simple and elegant. I am a fan of the diamond back designs such as the LTD deck and that is what we have here. The faded borders add to the beauty. The downfall here is that fans are fairly bland. Nothing too special to look at there.

Handling:
Overall a win here. Springs and dribbles are flawless. Fans great out of the box. Cuts are nice and clean. The downfall in this category is that the quality of the fans drops after considerable use. Still fans nice, just not perfect anymore.

This deck has become my new go to. Personal favorite and the fact that it is a good clean and cheap marked deck is just a plus.

Fans are definitly odd with this deck, if you do a pretty tight one it almost looks like a blank deck. I like it on teh whole, it handles well and the simplicity is purposeful knowing who is the man behind it. Fits well with his overall look and theme.

General questions for this deck. I keep a spreadsheet/database of all decks I buy and try to put in as much info as I can.

What exactly did they use for stock and finish? I read that it is the highest quality stock, so BEE casino grade? one of a kind linen texture, so linen is a finish? Also are these manufactured by the USPCC?

Sorry for the noobish questions, I am still kind of new at this hehehe

I think that the 'linen texture' in this instance is referring to the tuck box, not the cards. The box has a unique/new texture that is linen-like. The cards are air-cushion and don't feel like casino stock, probably Aristocrat/Magic which is what USPCC has told me about 90% of their custom decks are these days.

Paul, I think your right about the finish. That is what I put on my blog. It felt like Air-Cushion to me, but I am never 100% sure. I sent Theory11 an email and I am waiting for a response. If I am some how wrong, I will adjust my blog post.

Thanks!

You give them too much credit, Jay. Simple V2s are T11's speciality

If the deck was selling so quickly do you think they would have to take the time to send newsletters... Come on! This is pure scarcity marketing : time is ticking, limited, nearly sold out.

T11 please, you don't need to do that, most of your decks are great, that's enough.

That said the madison deck is not my cup of tea. It's too "clean" for me.

Very obvious try to sell them quickly...which usually means they dont sell out so fast as they thought they would.
My guess is still a 25k print run.

It isn't anywhere near a 25k run.

Seems like everyone is doing this though, unless the decks are sold out within like 48 hours.

TBC and D&D comes to mind.

Hi everyone,
Forgive me if I come across as rude.
My first time on a forum and so I don't know the proper etiquette, if there is any.
I actually have to ask a favor of you guys.
I recently ordered a deck of players from eBay but the video teaching you how to use the marking system is not included.
I mainly bought the deck because of the marking system so if any of you don't mind, could you pm the instruction video?
I'm not sure if you can pm on this forum, so in case you can't, here's my email:
edenchen@ymail.com

Thanks guys.
