EB Compete Set. That seems to be by far the most popular reward tier so far.

Agreed. That's what I went for along with uncut tucks. I've learned that I'm what you'd call a tuck slut.

EB complete set here as well. Happy to back the V2s. The Queen of Clubs is one of the best for me!

Jocu continues to be my favorite card producer. And this campaign is no exception. In for the EB set as well.

An update on this campaign:

"ONDA V2 Black Edition
  • All Black Edition decks purchased through the campaign will now be gold gilded for no extra cost.
  • Cold foil will be added to the cards if we can reach the goal of €30,000 by the end of the campaign.
Now unfortunately the reason we're doing this is because the number of backers we've got so far is not quite what we had expected. Whatever the reason for this, our priority is now looking after and rewarding current backers who have supported the project and making the decks as good as possible.

To achieve this we have had to make an important decision:
  • All black decks currently purchased through the Kickstarter will be gilded and limited to around 375. These will be KS-only. This means ONDA V2 Black Gilded will be the KS-Exclusive variant for everyone reading this.
  • Due to print run limits and to maintain the top quality offset printing we require, standard versions of the black deck will after all need to be released on the aftermarket. The black edition therefore will not be limited to 1000 as previously advertised, but instead have a 375-limited gilded edition as a KS-exclusive included as a free instant upgrade to all current backers of black decks.
  • All rewards advertising a KS-Exclusive Black Edition will now refer to this gilded deck /375, and not the previously promoted 1000-deck standard"
I tried hard to just get a set of four and call it a day...but I was weak and upgraded to a brick...

Cold foil will be added if we can get a bit more funding up to the €30,000 goal.

Jocu just released some new Onda v2 stuff to backers. One thing listed was an Onda V2 Red Coral deck. However, when I look back in the campaign, I don't see any Onda v2. Red Coral deck listed. I backed for a mixed brick, which consists of: 3× ONDA V2 Purple Deck(s), 3× ONDA V2 Yellow Deck(s), 3× ONDA V2 Wave Deck(s), 3× ONDA V2 Black Edition KS Exclusive Deck(s).

Does anyone know if I am supposed to be getting one of these standard Onda v2 Red Coral decks, or if I need to order one now?

I am utterly confused. :?

I believe you will need to order them in the survey. I don't think we will be getting them in our mixed bricks. I ordered them when filling doing the survey.

Yes, these additional decks were to be a part of an Inner Circle subscription release. With the Cartamudi equipment relocation to Spain delaying production, they decided to offer these up as an add-on the KS project and do something else for the Inner Circle

Things in the survey store that are not in the campaign:

ONDA V1 Azure Blue (New variant of V1)
ONDA V2 Black Standard (All black versions in the campaign were upgraded to x/375 gilded for free, so if you're a completionist, grab a standard)
ONDA V2 Coral Standard
ONDA V2 Coral Gilded (x/100) (Meant to be an IC exclusive but the aforementioned comment explains the situation)

Your IC discount code will work in the survey, but only for the Coral Gilded deck.

Hey guys! So Kevork is correct - these decks were self-financed and intended to be later releases but due to the shutdown at Cartamundi, everything became a late release and so we decided to offer them up now for backers of the campaign.

Having so many variants in a KS campaign would have been a mess in itself, but we decided to release these now otherwise we'd be adding to the delays. On the plus side we'll be printing the tucks soon and the card choices are amazing. Looking forward to these!

Arrrgh, thank you for making it easy. I don't know why but many of the designers cannot just list items like you to prevent the pain of reading through emails and then still miss stuff. In my case, I missed the Coral Standard.
I am relatively new to Jocu IC and KS. Is it common where his KS survey is actually another round to sell stuff? This seems really overboard when the campaign comes with 4 variants - but hey, here're 4 more variants to buy...?

Not common, but I would really recommend reading campaign updates or you're bound to be completely lost :)

Cartamundi shut down, project delayed for months, discussions about extra variants etc. The info is all there.

When it comes to the 'why' I'll just say that as you implied, putting too many variants on the campaign itself is confusing for the campaign. But the realities of printing mean it makes a lot more sense to print new versions of the same decks that share artwork at the same time as the original decks due to the manufacturing of printing plates etc. So for example with ONDA v1 Acquamarine was a special variant held back for our subscribers later.

The original plan would've been to release these over a few months or more in 2024. As ONDA V2 was originally destined to be shipping to backers around now, that made more sense. But things don't always go to plan.

Due to the shutdown everything will be a lot later than planned, so we decided to release them for pre-order now for our backers rather than arbitrarily hold them back later.

EDIT - If you missed anything, feel free to do the survey a second time. Many have done this. The reasoning for downplaying the availability of the two standard decks is twofold:
  • They aren't limited, so you can grab them anytime
  • I didn't want people panicking to get the gilded decks, losing time adding non-limited standards and then missing out on the gilded ones because they spent more time shopping
I've done this enough times and received enough panicked emails after a drop to try and deal with these things in advance. I might not always have the most crystal clear messaging, but I'm sure many here can tell you that I in the heat of a drop I have solved problems for a lot of members and subscribers after the fact :)

Jocu, I did read the emails. The bottom line is I want to know what decks to buy, and not feeling like I have to do my homework and search for answers between hundreds of lines. Thanks.

By the way - I did do a second survey to add the missing deck. If you say many has done it… then perhaps your message needs to be clearer :)

I hear you but for now I can't help you with that mate. When I have a 10-man marketing team and packed with expert copywriters I'm sure everyone will be much happier and we'll sell far more decks. Do we place too much responsibility on customers to keep track of what's going on with us? Perhaps, but our regulars all showed up to the drop and I was available and on hand for any issues.

For as long as we're just two regular folks drawing decks, producing and assembling them in our little studio and delivering them ourselves to hundreds of backers all over the world, the tradeoff will have to be clear, concise messaging and communication that is not our strongest point admittedly but there are only so many hours in the day and so many skills I can juggle on top of web design, photography, social media, assembling boxes, cello-phaning boxes, shipping packages, handling customs paperwork, managing campaigns and so on...

We're a small (tiny) business and we thank you for supporting us! But we are not Theory 11 or Ellusionist, we do the best we can with what we got and put 95% of our energy into producing awesome top-quality decks rather than hype, marketing and publicity because frankly it's not my strong point and I'll be the first to admit it.

The product comes first, selling it comes second. It might sound weird, but we create for the love of it and the money is secondary. I would love for our messaging to be perfect as it would get more sales, but it would simply divert energy away from the most important area which is product quality.

That said thank you everyone for the turnout yesterday and I look forward to getting these decks to you!

Yesterday was kind of funny for me. I actually set my alarm for when this would go live. I had no meeting scheduled, so all was good (so I thought). However, the crush of the workday hit me like a ton of bricks and it was two hours past the release time that I realized I forgot! That through me into full panic mode! My first goal was to get the limited decks, then sort out the dust. Part of that was figuring out what was missing. I was sure glad it wasn't a fast sellout! Despite the challenge figuring out what I wanted, that was so much better than finding out I was too late to the party and left out in the rain. All is well that ends well. I count it as a huge success from my end. :D

The Fournier facility are working on sending us some sample decks of a new option for printing in the meantime (this won't be used for ONDA, but it's an interesting option for other projects) and we're receiving quotes for other projects that will go ahead at Cartamundi/Fournier this year so all is moving along as expected.

To boot, our customer contact won't even be changing and we'll still be dealing with Belgium for our projects so it seems like from the client side, little will change for now :)

We expect to have everything back into production in the new year as planned and will have some news to share in January.

Hello everyone!

Just a quick note that we received the first samples of cards printed at the Fournier facility through Cartamundi after their moving of production.

The samples are great - pretty much identical to what we're used to from Belgium and although there have been some behind the scenes tweaks to varnish etc you'd be hard pressed to notice any difference between the two.

We are now waiting on final pricing updated for the new facility and we will be able to press ahead. In the meantime the files have past prepress and we're good to go. This stage is taking a little longer than we expected, but I'm told it's a matter of days now that things are up and running.

Thanks for all your patience! We will send an update once we get things into print.

Saw this just now. Now I'm confused, why Jocu and Omar is saying 2 different things about the new stock/varnish?
