Please don't, you are the only one who acknowledges my boxing thread, I need someone posting here once in a while so I don't look like a crazyman ranting about boxing. I need you, sviatch.

Coming Up....
Andre Berto vs. Jesus Soto Karass - as a pastor, I got to give it to Jesus on this one
Keith Thurman vs. Diego Gabriel Chaves - with a name like Keith, I smell a winner. Put $20 on each for me

I hope you are right about Thurman, he seems like a real nice guy, I would like to see him do well. I am always for Jesus but I will look at this in purely human spectacles, Andre Burto can hand out a whooping. Certainly not a great technique but I think I will go with Berto on this one. If I am not wrong this fight is on the twenty seventh. I think we have one on HBO this weekend but the Berto fight will be the fashizzle, nah mean, you feel me.

oh and for Chris Avalos vs. Drian Francisco - you gotta go with Francisco because it's fun to say "Francisco"
Then in the Abraham Han vs. Glen Tapia fight. It's really a toss up, because they both suck - so I will go with Glen Tapia

Orthopoo, thanks for the update. A possible fight of the year candidate is upcoming. Rusian v Alvarado. Dudes, this one could be phenomenal. Orthopoo, if you and Svinger want to stop by CT. on fight night we could make it happen, if you don't mind could one of you bring a large screen TV, mine has seen better days.

By the way, as most of you know Alvarez beat Trout in this fight. I think the fight was close to a draw. Canelo Alvarez got the nod as the fight was at the Alamo Dome and Canelo is a Superstar in Mexico. Before the fight even started Trout was behind on points. I am going to rescore the fight this eve eve and see what it is. If the fight took place here in New England Trout would have had a much better scores. I give Trout a lot of credit taking that fight. Austin Trout truly seems like a decent human. He is one of those boxers I would love to meet.

I have been bummed out for a few days. Abner Mares suffered a brutal defeat against Gonzales Saturday. Mares is one of those guys you can't help but like. Great talent and humble.
Next month we have a great fight. Canelo Alvarez v. Floyd Mayweather. I have made clear several times I don't like Floyd. Every time he opens his mouth BS comes out. Having said that he is one of greatest of all times. His ring IQ is amazing. His defense is amazing, his footwork is amazing, his ability to pick apart his opponents is amazing. He certainly can punch but he is not really a power punches. Canelo on the other hand is power. His ring IQ is nowhere near Floyd's but if he can get through and pound Floyd to the body he might be able to wear him down. Unfortunately, Floyd has a way of making good fighters look bad.
I wanted to see what you guys think. Floyd hasn't lost a fight in seventeen years. Do you think Canelo can do it.

Well, I got the Mayweather fight on ppv. He completely dominated Alvarez. I dislike Mayweather personality but he is one of the greatest boxers of this generation. He is now 45-0

Tomorrow night Cotto is fighting. Many consider Cotto to be washed up but I think he will come through with the win. He hired Freddy Roach as his trainer and rededicated himself to the sport.
Oct. 12 Bradley v. Marquez. This could be a good one. I think Marquez will take it but Bradley doesn't lose easily. This will be a ppv. fight. A friend of mine may order it so I will probably check it out. There are a number of good fights conning up before the year ends.
