P/s: thank to all of you i learned a most valuable thing from this exchange: LOL means Laugh Out Loud, not Love Our Life.
The literal meaning is "Laugh Out Loud" but, as mentioned earlier, some people use it to imply that the comment it is added to isn't serious and not necessarily that they're laughing. Personally, I dislike such acronyms but then I'm an old man and usually have to look them up!

It seems there is even an acronym for old man (OM), along with about 1700 others.

I guess we won't be hearing from Grizz again. Seems his account was deleted...how mysterious...

It's a shame that he felt he had to do that. I know most/all of us disagreed with what he believed, but that's no reason to disappear.
It looks like he's deleted his Kickstarter account, too.

Nothing mysterious going on. Grizz has asked to withdraw from participation here in a private message conversation with one of the mods, and we have deactivated his account per that request. I completely agree that it is a shame he felt the need to do that, but we all have our own ways of dealing with things. The best we can do at this point is to honor his request.

Hi all,
I’ve been out of town for a short vacation and I saw this drama happening. I could not write here before because I do not have the pass with me.
I think that everything can be resumed with a misunderstanding and an over-reaction of Brandon(Grizz), who decided to insult and accuse publicly on Kickstarter instead of double checking with me if my ”LOL” in a private conversation meant what he thought it meant. For the record, it is not what he interpreted also because it does not make sense. Why should I insult a patron on Patreon and a backer of my campaigns?
However, raging out and discrediting me on a project page with 1700+ backers waiting for their rewards is something I cannot accept, especially when there is no reason to to that.
On top of that I think he was quite confused with the ongoing projects. For clarity:
-Patreon: 100% under my control
-Kickstarter Campaign Eye of the Ocean: 100% under my control, I am the project creator.
-Kickstarter Campaign Odd Fellows: 40% under my control. I can only reply to comments, I cannot read emails sent to the Project Creator (Portfolio52), because my role is set as collaborator.
-Stockholm17.com Newsletter: 100% under my control.
BREAKING DOWN THIS MESS:
PART1: Eye of the Ocean & Patreon.
Brandon was replying to some backers on EOTO campaign, which is ok at some extent. I told him I was thankful for his engagement, but I asked Brandon (via Patreon, private email) not to engage too much with backers of The Eye of the Ocean in the comment section. Even if there is no reply from me, it does not mean I did not take care of it. I explained that I was not mad at him, I just asked what I wrote: ”not to interact too much”.
Meaning: ok to interact, but not too much.
Of course this is related to customer service practices and how I try to solve everybody’s issues when possible.
In that private conversation he misunderstood a sentence written in capital letters, a smiley face, and a ”LOL”.
What is this LOL?: laughing about the fact that I wrote to read twice the sentence in capital letters.
Sorry if it was funny just for myself. I wanted to make sure Brandon understood I was not mad at him.
Instead of asking to clarify, he misunderstood and did what he did. And I wonder why.
PART2: Odd Fellows KS campaign
On Odd Fellows KS campaign he requested a refund in the comment section because he did not want to wait more time because we are not giving updates…which is not true (updates are quite clear). I replied that at this stage it is not possible and that he could read the updates, so he could find the estimated delivery date. We are very close to fulfillment and we allowed refunds only for 30 days after the end of the campaign. I think p52 explained that to him, not sure though.
If P52 is taking time to reply, I cannot really do that much about that.
PART3: UC
I truly do not appreciate the fact that he posted part of out private conversations and accusing me of things that I never meant or thought.
I understand that it is hard communicating via texts, smileys, capital letters, acronyms etc, but it is better clarifying with me, instead of raging out like he did.
To UC folk, I just would like to say that I am not that active here because my account is not working properly, and I get confused a lot with quotes within quotes within quotes. I will be back in this forum when there is a better way to communicate. I get lost pretty easily and the forum as it is now.
PART4: Refunds.
I am refunding his Patreon membership via Patreon (3 months) and via paypal (2 months) as soon as he gives me a paypal address that works.
Odd Fellows pledge cannot be refunded at this stage of the project.
BOTTOM LINE
I try to be fair with everybody. If you are a patron on Patreon you can notice how I ran auctions and how I reply to all the inquiries I receive. None is left behind or unanswered. It might happen that I am out of town, and it takes 48h to get a reply or an answer.
Communicating in a clear way is hard. There are A LOT of variables including culture differences, language barrier, emotions, etc. Sorry if sometimes the answer does not meet your expectactions.
However, when someone attacks me or insults me, I will take countermeasures.
Thank you for taking your time in reading this. I hope everything is clear.
Lorenzo

Both email addresses I have for him are bouncing back, too, which is a problem as I was due to give him a partial refund for a deck he’s just bought.
If anyone hears from him, can you ask him to contact me, please?

This actually has me concerned that he's considering suicide if his emails are now bouncing back too. I know this is an extreme assumption, but he said he would send me Red Damask for free prior to disappearing. That sounds akin to someone close to ending their life.

Not that extreme considering his actions here. I do hope he's okay.

And he has since been in touch with myself and another member, so Kevork and my worries were put to rest.
