That's great news. It sucks Jody had to deal with all their issues but at least he's moving forward. Hopefully the next company will be better (even if fulfilment is delayed, as long as the decks arrive safely).

This is the smart move. He did the right thing and is making good on any issues. Respect to that.

Unfortunately, the packaging by the new fulfillment company still leaves a lot to be desired.

This looks to me like more of an extreme case so far. Most people have been getting their decks undamaged. If a package was that badly damaged, that was due to usual postal carrier carelessness, which we can’t prevent from happening. I just didn’t want to see small dings on tucks, those are actually worse to me. As you can see, each individual decks were packaged with a single cardboard protective box. Just to prevent small dings that happen in packaging before shipping.

I emailed Andrea and we will replace her damaged shipment.

Well I'm an idiot... ever since I got the shipping notification I've been really excited for these, especially the fancy sleeves and three-deck case! Well, turns out I misunderstood the tiers and only ordered the three individual decks, so I'm having to reset my expectations and not be disappointed  I emailed Jody to ask if there were extra empty sleeves (there aren't, he got back to me almost immediately!) He offered me his own but I would feel super guilty leaving a creator without their own work!! So that's that I guess, oops. Anyway HUGE shoutout to Jody :D :D

So I guess if anyone happens to not want their display case.... let me know?

Anyway, the cards are great - mine were also packaged in the same kind of thin box but it was fine (I also have gentle mail carriers luckily) If these weren't Legends they'd be an A+, I just can't get past the bowing on all the decks!! And be careful removing the seals, they do NOT want to come off

Great pictures as always @hsbc. Much thanks.

I really don't get the diffraction foil on these; makes them look cheap and childish instead of sophisticated and art oriented, imho.

I appreciate your customer service, Jody. My red deck had a dinged corner too (and now that I look at it closer, seems a bit warped but might just be my imagination). I bet a DS1 sleeve would have protected the corners of red deck.

Cards came in today, safely. The package is definitely a bit flimsy especially for international shipping, but they're in great shape. Really happy with them! Oh, also I think this is the first Kickstarter in 2 years that arrived on time, so kudos for running a smooth campaign.

Oh no. Made me a bit anxious. Just noticed the other day that the pre-order is still open and went in for a pair. Didn't know these were already fulfilling.

Well mine arrived just now. The signature set has a ding on the right bottom corner and the three pack as well (the golden one). Nothing serious enough like some of the pics I’ve seen so far but still. After the last set of issues it’s not completely solved yet it seems.
Still love the look of the cards.
The metal card looks fine too!

Well, I finally get Jody Ecklund’s latest creation.
While I might celebrate for the good artworks, I have a big resentment over my acquisition

As you can see, my set of three decks are sent with a cardboard box without any bubble wrapping at all, inside a small bag. Because there aren’t any protection, the decks that are on either left and right side suffers the bumps, cushioning the deck in the middle. As the results, it create dents on the Standard and the exclusive (GILDED, oh the pain….)

I am sorry, Jody. I will never back your future projects again until you resolve about shipping issues

Glad I didn't like the deck design (was just way too busy for me with that background) because i would be tilted getting decks in such a condition. Really a shame that some shippers don't get it.

You are so lucky that yours arrived safe and sound, for a standard set

Also, I wanna point out, there was a bit of a false advertisement:
It is said that the Standard Parley will only have basic CMYK print on the front of the cards and foils on the back, the end product does have foils on both sides. While it is a plus that it is an unexpected ugrade, it quite beats the purpose for the Full Foiled Calypso to be made - in the end, it's like two colored editions more than two signifact different editions

My guess is that he meant it when he said it. He likely arranged for fulfillment with someone else, and ran into massive delays. I backed another project that had to decide between switching to SFC or dealing with months of unexpected fulfillment delays compounded by cost increases. I bet he decided that SFC was the lesser of two evils when faced with some tough decisions. He has been very good about replacing even minimally damaged decks, so don’t hesitate to reach out if you have issues. I think he likely had to bite the bullet, knowing that he would end up replacing a lot of product.

All I see all over Reddit and also here is complaints about the state of the decks due to packaging.
Hell even mine got their corners bumped.
After saying to swap delivery service after the issues of last time. Now we’re here again. How much replacement is required? How much extra does this cost?
Is it even worth it for him to do these campaigns if all it gets him is a bunch of annoyed customers and extra work.

It’s a damn shame to because I like the decks for sure. I went in for a trio and a collectors box.

Box set and metal card all arrived safe and sound, though its clear that the non corrugated boxes are not for shipping cards

Received holo split spades from red and black the other day - they had some dent issues with the gator decks so they upped their game - each deck was ensconced in multiple layers of protection that would have withstood a gang of raccoons (actually made me laugh out loud when I realized the decks were from red and black - an appreciated overkill)

Safe shipping decks shouldn’t be a mystery - just order a few hundred from around the net and you will get the idea of what works and what doesn’t - or use plenty of bubble wrap, corrugated cardboard, plenty of crush room, and if need be a DS1 sleeve

Everything else is just luck

Not sure why. He said he would change fulfilment companies and didn't. And now the same thing is happening. At this point it seems to me that it's a strictly financial decision. It must be cheaper to replace dinged up decks rather than pay more for a fulfilment company that know what they're doing.
