I agree but I've seen some creators creatively integrate it somehow. Either way, I know this isn't fair but they way I look at the cost of deck is what it takes to get to my front door. If the deck is $1 but shipping is $17 or if the deck is $17 and shipping $1 it makes no difference to me. I'm all about the bottom line.

TL:DR Price is good, shipping is spot on.

I don't think the price too steep on this deck, if you like the deck. The bells and whistles here on the hobby edition are good. They did a great job of adding the extra incentive to the deck. There is the shiny bag that resembles a foil pack of sports trading cards, good stuff. They have the tuck box that resembles the old school wax pack, good stuff there as well. Top it all off, you get a stick of gum that's bubble gum. High elasticity for blowing bubbles kind of gum. So there's no sticker in the pack but that's okay. Not a big deal I always got a sticker for a sticker for a team I didn't like anyway. You get a lot for the thirteen bucks though. :)

My baseline for a custom deck of playing cards is $10.00 USD. I feel that is completely realistic and acceptable and for that I expect a custom card back, custom courts and a tuck that's bringing something to the table. All of that is here, every bit of it, plus the collect-a-bling upgrades mentioned above. I think it's an acceptable $3.00 premium for these upgrades and enhancements in packaging, providing the deck is to the persons taste. (there's GUM in it!) Shipping price is good here as well. There's no negative to any of that, quite honestly. ;)

We all have the same gripe and it's not about the campaign, not about the extras, not about the shipping. It's about the deck name and card back. Which has now in my opinion to become some what endearing to be honest. (Probably because I find it so delightfully amusing) :D It's really close to being a swing and a hit. It's not a complete miss at all, they got a piece of it.

(Really wish they had shown us in the drafting board section before launching and I hope they didn't already send this to print.)

Hey guys,

With everyone’s feedback considered and through much discussion, the campaign is now updated to offer the choice of an alternate deck without the Cardistry label.

Thanks again for all of the feedback!

This has been canceled to be reworked and relaunched. I think this is a great idea. I also like it when designers listen to collectors. We're not always right but if this comes back and funds with the proposed changes then I'll be a happy camper.
