Fast sell out is a marketing tool, a nonsense one but still a marketing tool. All of these cats could put up locked pairs for sale for the first 12- 24 hours and collectors would be able to pick some up. 1 customer, 1 pair. They'd still be able to sell out their decks, after the first 12 - 24 hours unleash the hounds and presto. Decks are gone. They choose not to, the illusion of a chase deck is of more benefit to them.

I think we have three choices when it comes to this kind of thing. 1, Make the time to play the game and get in the rush. 2, Be all ughs because missed out on an item and hunt for it and the whatever later because we were unable at the time to jump through said hoop. 3, Don't worry about the nonsense and remember it's just another whatever the object may be.

For what it's worth I personally don't worry about it too much anymore. In my situation it was Playing cards and to a lesser extent some american made Pocket knives. I used to be all serious and up ons with the illusion and needed to have everything. Made me unpleasant in many regards during the times coming up to the must have sale starting and after if I missed the batch. It wasn't a good thing for me to do. Now, eh, I have a lot of decks if I miss a couple here or there. I'm okay with it, there are more coming and after that... Yep, more coming. :)

At least until Emmanuel Jose decides to do another deck. Then the gloves come off I'ma get me bricks!
