Tangentially related, but is there a list of upcoming Lotrek decks? I know of Codex and Harvest, but are there any others? Perhaps a mystery deck a la Crypt/Arabesque Silver/Damask from prior years?
Lotrek has also teased images from an Hieronymus Bosch deck that he plans to produce at some point. It looks to play with color in ways that he hasn't done before, and I love it when he experiments with new styles, so that one will be a killer to watch for.

Is it fair to assume that you're aware of the Tale of the Tempest deck he is working on with The Gentleman Wake?

As for whether Codex will be Patreon-exclusive, get ready for disappointment: if it's not Codex, there will be some other project of Lotrek's that will be aimed at the Patreon backers exclusively. :(

Lotrek's creations really fit a subscription program. He has a fixed quantity to make and can work in secret. Perhaps letting patrons know a bit about what he is making. I remember some early discussions on a subscription plan, but Lotrek initially backed away from it due to the hassles of managing the subscriptions. However, after that, Patreon became a think for playing card designers and I guess Lotrek rethought it. This way, backers know they are in it for the year, and can budget for it in monthly installments. Lotrek can then get to work and not be rushed to do anything, and he knows how many he needs to make. He doesn't like to make tons, so this should work perfect at this point. If he gets a lot more Patreon backers, then he may have to rethink it yet again. At the cost per deck though, it is by far not cheap. I am sorry some didn't get to join, but he did announce it quite a while in advance and left the membership up for a month. Much better than him release a limited wonder and have a feeding frenzy with decks selling out in seconds, as has happened.

I didn't know about the Bosch deck, thanks for the heads up!
And for the other points, I was something like the 19th backer for TotT, so yes. And I know about the Patreon exclusive deck, I just figure it's gonna be one of those ultra rare decks I'll just never be able to get my hands on, or pry away from another collector in the event I ever come into the money, so I'm not sweating it too much.

All valid points; I was more trying to get at the fact that the Patreon was first announced before I even started truly collecting cards, and had already closed before I even knew to look for it. c'est la vie.

Some folks are probably planning to flip some or all of their Lotrek patreon goodies, so they will likely be available. However, as they cost about $130 a piece, they will not be cheap.

I have already started working on CODEX and expect to see some stuff soon. Although this will not be exclusively for Patrons, Patrons will have a first look at it. I think this is my most ambitious project so far in terms of artwork and it's absolutely thanks to my patrons that I can do it. So there might be an edition exclusively available to Patrons.

I should hope so. Or at least early access to "standard" version. :D

Just don't let us long suffering patrons miss out just because we have stubby, slow fingers.

Been waiting for this a while now.

Can’t wait to get my hands on this...

Is this an actual print card or rendering your showing us Lotrek?? Can’t tell these days...

Was surprised to see this now. Stunned me for a sec.
Then my eyes went to the indices... Not liking it to the point that I might pass. Courts might chime me in of course but oh boy are those indices ugly.

I like the index art but it does look like its a miscut card on the edges there a tiny bit

And that is exactly what I dislike about it. Plus the white space above the index just looks odd/unpleasant to me.
The artstyle itself is nice.

This is a work in progress, so some things will change. This probably includes the indices that are -believe it or not- the trickiest part of this deck. ;)

Patrons will have access to the very limited edition of the deck printed on my own stock that will be just unbelievable.

I agree with sms69x. I like the idea of foil to the edge, which I assume is the tricky part. In any event, it is stunning.

As long as I don't have to share a cell with those badly placed and framed indices I can bare it. 😝
