Neat deck in the same league like good AoP decks. I guess I'm going to risk it, to miss out BIG TIME :D .

The luxury edition looks so good. I would really like to pledge for this series. I just cannot at the moment sue to financial constraints and unexpected bills. I hate to miss out on these.

This is such a good project, I would like to actually have a brick, 4 of each deck. I'm also in for a 2/2/2, may add on extra decks. I'm glad all three decks are distinct from each other.

I don't think the deluxe is special other than the gilding so I'm just down for 1 normal and 1 Lotrek... Oh god I'm in love with Lotrek aren't I?
(Well, his decks I mean though he seems like a chill dude.)

I'm tempted to pledge for some of these.

Does anyone know what AoP policy is on labelling their custom forms for International backers?

I know GW declare a nominal fee and wondering if AoP do they same or do they declare the full KS pledged amount.

The decks are already on the expensive side and I would hate to get hit with a huge Import Tax on top.

In my experience its definitely worth avoiding anything dispatched by Art of Play, they often mark the value higher than what has actually been paid for. I'm based in UK and once had to pay £75 for a brick and £42 for just 2 decks once.

Purchased the Standards Deluxe Box Set for £143.43 from AoP, got charged customs of £20.32, also UK.

Could you show us some proof for that claim? I don't order that often from AoP anymore but did in the past and just had 3 orders in the last half year that were fulfilled via AoP. Never happend once(!) that the order value was marked up.

The cost of the order of the brick + shipping was about £150 after conversion. My understanding is that VAT (20%) is charged on orders/goods value combined with shipping cost so that should be £30. And then duty of 2.7% so an additional £4. I should point out that fedex charge a £12 admin fee (this fee is often disputable since you're not made aware of it at the point of sale) but even with that for a parcel of £150 value I shouldn't be required to pay more than £46

I've ordered from art of play quite a few times as well as had orders placed elsewhere fulfilled by them. Every order has been subjected to a customs charge. When I order direct from their site it's usually around a £25 charge. It's when they're fulfilling somebody else's sales that the charges jump up quite a lot. So perhaps it would be wrong to fully blame art of play as I don't know who completes the waybills, plus customs charges will always vary country to country. But in answer to the original question don't expect a nominal fee. If you're able I would strongly recommend using a shipping consolidator, there was a great thread on this a few months ago if you want to learn more.

Thanks for the replies my friends.

@Decknowledgy: I could cope with £20 or so, it's when it starts hitting the £50+ mark that it makes a huge impact.
By any chance do you recall the declared value for the Standards Deluxe Box Set?

@Philmyer92: We do have access to a shipping consolidator and have considered using this.

AoP almost always uses Fedex right? For some reason, Fedex packages get hit with custom duty half the time for me even though I'm below my custom's threshold. It's gotten to the point where if I get hit with duty tax, I will challenge it. Most of the time I don't have to pay the tax or a reduced amount. It's so annoying.

I believe Fedex declares the tax and forces you to pay for it anyway (hence the $12 charge). So yeah, that may be a reason to avoid AoP if they use Fedex. Anyway, we may want to move this conversation to the Shipping Consolidator thread on the General section. Threads get hijacked enough as it is.

My three-deck set came in today! The cards and tucks are very nice, especially the cold foil on the Luxury cards. Go figure, the standard tuck is my favorite - the color looks great in person :D It also came with four stickers  Finally, the gilding color is quite nice on the Deluxe edition

But I'm not as impressed with Lotrek's tuck for the Luxury edition as I'd expected, the main difference seems to be more embossing - and for some reason the sides are "flipped" compared with the two other tucks

And my Deluxe deck is missing a joker

Overall very happy and ready for the Blue Jay Dentistry deck :D

Has to be when Lotrék is involved. A sign of authenticity 😆👌🏿.

Note: I do not have the Deluxe or Luxury editions, are they any different than the standard other than tuck case?

The Luxury edition is printed by Cartamundi and has gold foil on the backs

I always look forward to your scans; even though I have the decks, it gives me an easier way of viewing the cards.

Thanks again, mister.

Do any of my dear friends who backed this project have a spare of each that they'd be willing to part with for cost? Asking for... me. :)

She said the Meadowlark deck will be available as addon on Backerkit when the Bluejay KS ends. So you may be able to pick them up yourself if she opens it up to non-backers.

Wasn't sure of the best place to ask this.

Just got the survey for Blue Jay, and we can indeed add Meadowlarks in backerkit. I'm seeing a "Luxe Edition" that I can't find info on anywhere. Anyone know what the deal with it is? What sets it apart from the other editions (Standard, Luxury and Deluxe)?

Its standard tuck (the yellow one)
with luxury cards (cartamundi cold foil)

Luxe was an optional add on for the latest Kickstarter in the backer survey

This is one of my favorite decks in my collection. Just have a great design, quality, and the creator is super nice. I would highly suggest adding one to your collection if you do not have one yet.

Pretty much a tuck swap from the white box to a yellow box.
