Hey, at the starting price, I'm in. I'll start the bid, but may soon succumb to being a casualty of a bidding war. However, sometimes I have snuck in and grabbed a gem for a sweet price. Usually though it is through a snipe.

Well, as sad as it is, you have to basically become a sniper or a whale to win an eBay auction. Just the way it works out.

I saw all the watchers and didn't want to see it just sit there like that for 10 days, so I kicked it up to $22.22 (I like the repeated digits thing....)

As for USPCC Customer Service - not even a name at the end, just repeating what I already had mentioned: "While we certainly appreciate your interest in our Celebration Deck, this product is not currently available. Like many companies we do create promotional/incentive items for our own use. This deck was created for our events this year to celebrate joining Cartamundi and was not set up as a commercial product for sale."

Maybe better luck with Cartamundi......

Same here. I've spent a small bit more than that on cards, but it was for a special hard to find brick. These two decks are cool and all, but they are not Lotrek cool.

that set is definitively not worth that... could be a pair of jokers just driving up bids and waiting to the end to pull out. Used to be an old tactic where 2 bidders would drive up the price very high and then pull out all their bids to make someone win at a decent price . let's see where this goes

I'm not that familiar with eBay and auctions. Do I understand corrcetly that, for example, r***1 and 3***7 can pull out the last second and then 3***0 would win the auction with his $65.66 bid?

As far as I know, it is not legal. At least here in Germany. I don't know if you still can pull your bit out. Just in the case if your account got hacked or else.
For other regions I can't say. But back in 2005 or so it was a normal way to drive the bidding a bit up.

I'll just keep my fingers crossed for the giveaway from Cartamundi.

Bidders can retract their bids. In fact, r1(104) (aka tf(104)) has had two bid retractions over the last 6 months.
(Geez, I hope they don't both retract. I don't want to actually have to pay $65.66. I just did it to see all those 6s.....)
