INVASION - Blood red edition - a disapointment for me

On the left of attached picture, expectations, on the right, reality.
I don't know if my expectations was unrealistics, but the embossing on the pictures of the KS campaing is what sold this deck to me.
To say the least, I am disappointed.
Is it Rattle shuttle who did not delivered or is it MPC ?
Would I've had wait two more months for a better embossing? absolutely.
What do you think? Is my disapointment justified?

T11 used to do that all the time where they would photo the tuck box so that it looked like there was extreme embossing, but when you get the actual deck it fell flat, literally. This is why I collect playing cards, not tuck boxes. If my deck comes with a pretty tuck, that's a bonus, but I don't spend long periods of time gazing at a tuck box, I'm playing with the cards instead.

The left image is 3D. It's hard to render and showcase all shapes. That's why they overdone that image. IMHO.
The right image (reality) is better. Deep embossing is not always possible, as it's harder to produce without scratches.

I understand, I find you kind of lucky not to care about the tuck case, I personnaly thing it is part of the experience, I really enjoy gazing at a tuck for hours
Of course the cards are the main course, but a good appetizer is essential for a succesful meal.

I'm good with "not exactly identical with the picture" I'd be very happy with a less deep embossing. The problem is, there is no embossing whatsoever. Completely flat.
hence my disapointment. I say overdone image is right as long as it shows what feature to expect, no?

If there is no embossing, you should ask the creator. And to your other question, MPC can do good embossing, so in this case the creator didn't deliver (if embossing was mentioned explicitly in the kickstarter).

It appears to me that the left image is more of a prototype. You can see the seal is lifted up and cut or tore open. If it's a render, that's some pretty stellar attention to detail.
I can see how the difference in the 2 pictures could be a bit disappointing to someone.

The second picture has been taken by me. It is my deck.

Hi everyone,
I would like to clear some things up.
At the time when the Kickstarter picture was taken, We didn't have a physical version from the EPCC.
We had to create it ourselves. We do admit that the final product looks a bit flat. But we didn't know how the tuck box would appear when we handmade the prototype.
The tuck box was produced by EPCC (not MPC).
We are a bit disappointed by the final result ourselves. Hopefully, in the future, we can figure this out with the manufacturers, and the embossing would be more aggressive.
This issue should not appear on our new deck, for which the Kickstarter campaign is starting on February the 26th.
Hopefully, that explains the situation.
With best regards,
RattleShuttle team.
