Eva Noire - Upcoming Thirdway Deck

The card backs and the back of the tuck on one end have one gold leaf instead of green. This may be intended but does make the backs one way. Not that I care if they are one way.

It's not though, not at all, they don't even have a bottom half so it's not actually possible... As for the proofs they may look a little strange like this but I think once they're printed with the metallic inks they'll really come out looking unique and interesting, which I'm excited to see!

@Decknowledgy - The issue with lower lip it's not a bug: it's the light reflection. It should be better in the printed version since the gold will be shiny. Thank you for finding this, anyways

@Adonael - colors are very dfferent than the actual product. Black will be darker and others will be very metallic. It should be really nice, I hope.

You wasn't the first pointing me the error, yeah, but I don't cosider this a game - it's more a way to be grateful to everyone check my work closely ^_^

Ok, I have to admit I feel a bit silly for this - there was a problem with those files, so I had to fix them on rush - probably this caused the errors

Anyways everything will be fixed in the final version and this shouldn't cause delays. Thank you guys!

Now that it was mentioned about the snake. Also the leaves on the Apple (circled with the snake) aren't green (that might have been intentional, but seems strange that the other leaves are green and not these two). Same for the leaves on the apple on the bottom side as well.

I am with 2pc in terms of my sentiment. The original Eva was a great deck but I do not like the idea of a recolour and I am not liking this black and mustard colour scheme.

I might share the proofs earlier here in future.

The color scheme of the proofs is completely different than the real pantone colors. Gold, Green and Magenta will be metallic and bright. Now they look brown/yellow and pink
I hope it will turn awesome when printed.

The leafs of the Apples are purposely Gold They're part of the "statue" of Eva.

A preview of Eva Paradis - the result is even better than my (high) expectations.

The paper used is a special one that resemble fabric/synthetic - it does not feel like paper at all.
Embossing is very good and the foil works perfectly (my main concern was that the paper could have be foil-repellent since the texture is very particular).
I'll try to make a good video this friday. I hope you'll like it!

Gio's style continues to be a broken record.

His geometric artwork & style continues to reflect through every deck he creates which makes them an easy pass for me and others.

Time to get outta your shell Gio and move forward with another design aspect all together.

I think Gio's consistency is what keeps me coming back to buying his decks. Plus they're always themes so it's cool to see how his decks turn out. I recently bought the Evil Deck and you can see the big shift in Gio's art style, I find it fine that his style is evolving slowly since a dramatic change would probably be a turn off. I'm all for stylistic changes over time but I'd rather it not be forced.

EDIT: That moment you realize you're on an older thread replying to an old ass post. Well I'm not really sorry, gee I really want to get 2 or 3 sets of these.

Thanks to Timmargh, I just got my hands on the EVA deck this month.
I have to say that besides the great artwork from Gio, I find that especially the strong contrast between the blood red/black card back and the white front elevates the original EVA deck beautifully. I knew the cards before from pictures, but after opening the deck I sat on my sofa and just said "WOW". Thinking of this deck still brings me back to that moment, as if I have it in front of me right now. Over the last year only two decks achieved this for me. Silk and EVA. So of course the bar is pretty high but I don't see this elevation with the new dark backs and fronts.
For an EVA Noire I would find a black tuck box with glowing red foil more fitting as well. But that's just me. Maybe in person this new take on EVA will be as stunning as the original; I doubt it though and will pass on this deck until proven wrong.

@Harvonsgard - fun fact: I was really stunned when I opened my first Eva deck. It was my first USPCC deck and I was so happy with it that I've started to produce almost every deck with them from that day. I know it will be hard to match, but I am positive that Eva Noire will be very cool as well, much better than the render I've shared. Everything but the black will be metallic, especially the gold that looks like brown at the moment. Anyways, I understand if you prefer wait until it's produced before get it Black/Red Box was an option, but too similar to Omnia Suprema and also too "evil" for Eva (which I consider a positive deck).

I woke up this morning to the email that preorders were available. I quickly logged on from bed and tried to order the last 2 sets that the site said were available. While placing the order I received the notice that only 1 set was now available. Crap! I struggled with trying to change my quantity on my phone from 2 down to 1. It was quite the struggle when just waking up. All the while, thinking that the last set will disappear. I did it! But, I want more of the decks so I placed another order for a couple of the singles.

I then finally finished waking up and realized that Patreon members get a special price and proceeded to order them through that and now need to cancel my original order!

One thing I don't care for this hobby is that. Where for limited items you can place them in your cart and then while trying to complete the order, they keep disappearing. I was really screwed over by me being too slow during the last Steve Minty sale. I ended up getting nothing or very little, I can't remember. My daughter experienced my frustration with trying to place an order and 'Minty' has become a sort of curse word for her.

Hello guys! I wanted to tell that I absolutely understand the frustration in missing the items and I am working to make future releases more easy.
I am not doing this purposely to create hype or scarcity, this time I was forced because the gold paper available were just 50 sheets (and I've bought them all).

My philosophy is produce more to give everyone the chance to get their decks (and keep prices reasonable). There is "Industries" in my business name, after all

Now all Paradis available for preorder are gone, but I will restock them in future - not sure if in the next days or after the production... I am always scared to oversell.
Give me some time to think. Anyways, remember that there should be some rewards of Patreon available (30/month, unsuscribe when you want, 1 Paradis in Jan and 2 Noire in Feb)

Anyways, I am always really grateful for the awesome support, thank you very much!
