Hey guys! Man all of the comments are great. Its really helpful to get insight to what you guys are looking for. Hopefully if the project gets funded I hope to create a special edition deck that is a limited run that has a sweet two way back design.

also if you take a look at the pledge tiers you will see that if you order 8 decks they equal out to $10 dollars a deck. I'm going to contact my rep at USPCC about possibly doing bricks.

Thanks again guys.

Jackson

Widdee wrote:Your ace of spades (by itself without the border) and the Federal 52 art from the back would both make for cool Tshrt designs singularly if you wanted to go that route and add them to a level. Adding a coin would fit right into the money theme. You've got a lot to work with from the art you've already done.
Here is an example of some shirts I have planned for release later on in the project, I want to get a solid foundation before releasing them.

I just backed it. Wish I'd gotten in at the $11 level, looks like I missed it by only a little, but these are nice enough I'm willing to pay a bit more than usual. Good luck Jackson!

This is truly an amazing deck design. Makes you think of money right away! Only downside is that its not a 2 way back : /

Damn. I'm not worthy!

I think a little bit lower price and a two-way back and this campaign could exceed even what the Pedale deck achieved. But I'm backing it anyway.

Me too. This is definitely one of the better decks coming out lately. For his skill and how insanely amazing this deck looks, I don't think $15/deck is asking a lot at all. I gladly support this fellow artist. :)

Your shipping is not fair for internationals.
Look the US pledges do have all shipping included where we internationals have to pay on top of the already calculated US Price which includeds shipping.

$39 for 3 Decks incl. shipping ($4.50 USPS First Class shipping and the envelope) for the USA

Internationals have to pay on top of the already included USA shipping $15 which is not correct.
The real price is $10 to ship 3 decks via USPS First Class Mail international
So its like $9.50 too much on shipping.

See i would love to pledge for 3 decks and a tshirt (the ace looks awesome!) - but i can´t justify such shipping prices

Sadly i backed this even at that ridiculous shipping prices, but im having second thoughts, i really think the project would do so much better with more reasonable shipping rates, because its putting alot of us international backers off. and the add on decks prices for early bird is just  , really nothing special for the early supporters eh

Quick question:

Have you run the design by Bicycle's art department?

I ask because your designs seem very intricate and I would hate to see that detail get blurred out in the final product. Beautiful design, and it looks like you'll hit funding today. Congrats!

Just to be clear, shipping 3 decks (approx 12 oz) international First class costs about $13.40 now. Factoring in time/materials the international shipping surcharge could be perhaps $10-11 instead of $15 and cover everything. So, it's a bit higher that it could be but not $9.50 too much.

I'm no longer supporting artists who are asking for more than $10 per deck.

That said, it is an amazing deck and I can't wait to buy it for less than $10 eventually.

Jackson - don't change your back. don't promise them a special back. your design is fine. "52" is a single point. you have chosen that. most backs have a duel point. if you look at your "52" it has a duel design within; that is the genius. it's fun to see ppl squirm that want a "2way back". don't be scared to stick to your design.

Not that my impression of you as a deck producer was any good initially, but it just went way down.

Good luck on that Texas deck

you need to think about stretch goals. Bee stock or aristocrat stock with gilded edges.

Gilding: Gold and Silver foil gilding is available. The base price for a custom deck with gilding is $4.60 per deck for 2,500 decks. The paper for the deck has to be Aristocrat 300 and a special finish is necessary. The artwork has to have a white border. Extra time is needed for the gilding process, amount of time necessary depends on order quantity.

let me guess you want gold.

The shipping cost on this is ludicrous for international backers. I live in Canada and I know it doesn't cost $14 to ship two decks here.

Please dont even think about gilded edges. Those handle terrible, cant use them for magic or a pokergame. So youll loose a good chunk of possible buyers.
Anyways, nice deck. If you lower international shipping, ill pledge. But i cant pay 17bucks per deck, :(

By and large, I prefer non-1 way backs but at the same time, if all my decks had 2 way backs, it would be boring! I like variety! And the way I see it, Jackson spent a lot of time making this deck and if he wanted a one-way back, so be it. It's not like he made a drastic error. Everyone's a critic... :?

I'm also really excited to announce that today from 6pm - 8pm EST I will be joining my friends at LoopCuts.com and anyone else who would like to come, in a live Q & A session. We will be discussing the Federal 52 Deck and the process that went behind the designs.
Looks like Jackson Might be getting in with the wrong crowd. LoopCuts is is Mr Butler's new gig right?

I just sent him some links to threads on UC about Robert Butler. At least he can read who he is and what he is about. That is about all we can do and hope he protects himself from this con man.

Thanks!

Yep... More than $10 per deck plus international shipping is way too much!!
