I'm thinking Lotrek is not pushing them as hard as he might simply because he's going to be hanging onto them for future efforts, maybe? I did notice that he sold one yesterday (or maybe it was late Wednesday?).

I'm sure he will correct me! :geek:
No, I won't correct you this time!
However, I posted an update regarding this mysterious folder :-)

EDIT:

Aha! Shermaine posted about it while I was writing the comment. That's timing! ;)

I just posted a conversion comment for 'Murican buyers. We don't know squat 'bout metric measure, "believe it or not"...

We're down to just under seven hours left in the campaign at this writing. (and yes, there's a reason why Shermaine is on the UC2014 Crew, she knows her stuff!)

What they said: thank YOU, Lotrek! After being along for the ride, we ended up topping $45,000 today and ended up in excess of 283% funded. What a terrific project and experience for all of UC members!

Correct. It will be on the KS survey.

The backers who got one Signature deck will get to choose their color on the survey and then you'll have the total number for each deck?

Actually he should have already gotten those decisions when he was assigning the sequence numbers (1..60) but - maybe not all of them? If someone cancelled it messes them up, and we had 2 or 3 - maybe a couple more after it was all said and done. Never-the-less, I'm thinking he knows (or at least very close) those numbers. (i.e. how many Gold Signature Edition and Platinum Signature Edition decks are going to be made) Those will have another number giving you let's see just for an example there were 30 golden colored tucks and 45 silver colored tucks, then each would have another number showing which of those they were as well, being 1..30 for gold and 1..45 for silver foiled SE tucks.

Of course I'm not keeping track of the numbers, but that's how I understood it to be. Lotrek will have to chime in with those specifics I'm not aware of like the count of GSE & PSE decks.

Thank you so much, Lotrek, for sharing your talent and beautiful artwork with us and for helping UC. :) I enjoyed being a part of the Grotesque campaign and doing what I can to help. When I started collecting playing cards just a few months back, I not only discovered an awesome new hobby, but also an awesome community of people who are passionate about playing cards here at UC. It's really wonderful to be involved in a campaign with such amazing and unique artwork that also promotes the community of people we have here in this forum. :)

Well well, look at my profile picture.

An amazing twist in the story, I will not be featured in the Grotesque deck (sorry for those of you that really wanted a piece of me), as it was difficult to use my face to suit the style of the court cards, and i really didnt want to hold back the perfection the deck can achieve. I would still like to thank Lotrek for spending so much time and effort to try and make it work, and we both believe that this is for the better :D

I will be paying for them tomorrow, and effecting shipment to Lake Michigan Mailers for distribution, even though we were told just last Wednesday that they would ship Monday or Tuesday. It seems there was yet another 1-day delay - twice, now. Perhaps tomorrow when I call they will actually take our money? I'm beginning to think they are kidding when they say "just one more day"... I expect to see the decks actually shipping early next week at this point. The plan was to have them in Kalamazoo by now, and shipping starting Friday, but that was last week.

Thankfully - four months and one day after funding, USPCC finally made good on the delivery of products for the UC2014/Grotesque decks designed for us by Lotrek, and those will be shipping starting on Monday from Lake Michigan Mailers. He's busy working on the final pieces of the Signature Decks and other custom items, and I'm sure those will be forthcoming in the near future as well. Poor Lotrek got bit by the "who done it?" bug over the past couple of weeks when the final process - cutting the sheets - went wrong with his Gold Venexiana decks, and those are being finished up parallel to the Grotesque efforts, so he's got to be one busy guy right now, especially running back and forth from Athens to Berlin to get all of this done. I think he deserves a big thanks from everyone here at UC both for the great job done with our namesake 2014 decks and the Gold Venexiana production - rather reproduction at this point. That one thing sets a new milestone for decks, something that even the experts said "couldn't be done" only six months ago. Obviously - it can, and he's much like me: when you tell him "It can't be done" it more-or-less creates an implied challenge to figure out a way to get there. I can't say that I envy him with the second repetitive process for doing these. I watched in awe as he pulled it off the first time, so seeing it done again is both a joy and a misery for us both - knowing that the one thing that could happen to mess these up did happen. We'll likely be offering at least the red suits for sale as individual cards, a souvenir of the world's first fully foiled card backs. I don't have any specific yet, but it will happen, given a little time. We're both pretty focused on one thing right now.

Summarizing things I've said elsewhere without totally repeating them: they arrived late yesterday afternoon in Kalamazoo, and the shipment starts early next week after a full inventory and preparations are done on Monday. Finally - the decks ARE on the way!

We all appreciate Mike's and Lotrek's work. Amazing that both Grotesque and Gold Venexiana decks will arrive before the end of this month. After all the shipping is done, take a break so we'll be occupied with these before the second Venexiana comes out.

I believe the signature editions would take a little longer, the tuckboxes have to make their way to lotrek's hands. However I believe that Lotrek has already started/or already completed the production of the special tuck cases :D

No, it's not but he wrote "pssst" and for some reason I read the rest of it whispering to myself. That's what was so funny.
