GW apparently likes to print all their labels at once (which creates the tracking and must also send out the email) then they take their sweet time affixing said labels to boxes and then getting those boxes to their respective carriers. Wouldn't be so bad if their email went out when the boxes do.

True, that is what used to happen. I think though it was easier on me not knowing. I just feel like they are tormenting me now.

Seems like my package been at DHL in Kentucky for days, they should've been sent it. Delivery date is May 7 though it'll probably come earlier.

One week and counting on Gambler's warehouse. My 18 pound shipment is still just sitting. Maybe FedEx will get it sometime...maybe.

This is mind-blowing to me. There are people waiting to receive their orders, and I had a shipment arrive to me today second-hand from a seller halfway across the world. Due to the inconsistencies globally, I'm glad Lorenzo is providing everyone enough time to solve the puzzle and enjoy the adventure.

Re: The Eye Of The Ocean - Stockholm 17
Dear backers, It is time to launch the quest! You have more than 3 months of time because packages take time to arrive to destination. Please read carefully what follows.
All you need is this image, but read the whole page because there are a few of FAQs.
As stated in the campaign, you need the following:
The complete book with leather cover and attached astrolabe and bookmark
Solis deck of cards (any variant)
Lunæ deck of cards (any variant)
Also, it useful to have the following:
Pen and paper (any pen, any paper) for your notes
I suggest a magnifying glass as a real investigator. The camera zoom of the phone might help as well.
Patience
Time
Powers of observation, and of course passion for puzzles.
Square one: 246 (guess what it means)
Difficulty: I have no idea
Hints: none, do not ask
Winners: 3, with a raffle
Deadline: August 10, 2022
3 winners win the following items:
1x Quartermaster Edition 2021
1x Codex Key
1x Astra Polaris Signature Edition
The bookmark is not really necessary, but it can help to keep track of things.
You do not need to read the whole novel. However, you might find some small hints that help a little.
Only who reaches the final step will know how to submit the solution.
If you submit the solution via kickstarter mail then it is not the right one
If there are no valid entries (=no winners) by August 10, I will move the deadline.
I have no idea about the difficulty level. For someone it might be a piece of cake, for others extremely frustrating. I really have no clue.
Every now and then I will post an update saying if and how many reached the goal.
Do not contact me begging for hints, no hints will be given
Since packages take time to arrive, I have to set the deadline and plan a raffle for those with the correct solution.
If you solve it, do not share the solution, it will lower your chance of winning.
Potential participants: approximately 780 (based on the count on kickstarter backer with those items, but not everybody like puzzles.)
Uncut sheets might be useful and speed up a little a part of the quest.
You do not need Astra Polaris deck at all.
Puzzle or Quest? I suppose it is both as it goes through steps. Do not confuse the word puzzle with jigsaw puzzle (as I used to). See this challenge as those puzzles you have to solve to ESCAPE THE ROOM.
If you do not have all the necessary items and you really want to try, be aware that I will release the leftover on my online shop probably in mid May (date to be communicated).
That's all for now. I really hope it is difficult enough and that I do not get 100 correct answer after 5 minutes. Will you find the Eye of the Ocean? GOOD LUCK!
Lorenzo

Re: The Eye Of The Ocean - Stockholm 17
I’ve been toying with the idea of putting up a deck to add a bit of fun to the bet - and with skymember ticking me off this evening I figure perhaps a good deed might perhaps let my mind settle - after all the knowledge this forum has bestowed upon me I figure its fitting…
So I withdraw my entry, and will ship the following deck to the winner free of charge, worldwide.
Good luck to all - entries allowed up to the date that portcullis gets his package - once he posts he received the eye of the ocean decks whomever was closest wins, in the case of multiple closest guesses the first guesser that posted is the winner…
And yes, I do feel better already

Re: The Eye Of The Ocean - Stockholm 17
I was thinking that perhaps it might be an issue for those that place guesses early vs those that make them later - so as a bonus if the correct guess was made at least a week before it arrives I will include one mystery deck - two weeks or more early and I will add another - good luck
I have asked portcullis to not post any shipping updates, and just post the day it arrives…
(By mystery decks I simply mean decks that I will select but not name, not a deck officially labeled as a mystery deck)
If balrog or rousselle want to change their guesses they can - as they posted their guesses before I posted this

It seems karma does count for something, as it looks like I might even get my origin deck shipped next week - well, it might have been the karma, or it might have been the anger - either way… works for me

Re: The Eye Of The Ocean - Stockholm 17
Ohhhh, a chance at a free deck or 2! I'm in.
*thinks* May 23
OK, the only further rule I'm going to impose that everyone selects ONE 24-hour period. If nobody selects the precise date, we'll thrash out 'nearest the pin' at the appropriate time.
I live ~100 miles from where the delivery is being made, but I will end the bet on the day of delivery (as confirmed by email/text message) not the day I manage to get to my hometown and pick it up. AusPost offers a 28-day poste restante service on all PO box deliveries. To that end, I'm headng home for a belated Mother's day visit next weekend (i.e. Thurs 12th-Sunday). The visit to follow that is yet to be planned and may be dictated by this delivery.
GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY!!

No, it hasn't but Saturday post is no longer a thing here, Sherm (except for 2 Saturdays prior to Xmas). Was phased out in the mid-80s when I was a kid. Have another stab.
