Yeah, all 3 deliveries I had for Arabesque were “officially opened for inspection”, so I’m hoping Fable isn’t. Hence my little diatribe above.
That said, European postage has recently become a bit more dependable than a couple of recent experience with GW. Lately GW has been about 3 weeks in Label Creation>Pickup (with the exception of Monolith) and I was earlier this year waiting 3 months for a delivery from GW.
I’ve bought a few decks direct from European sellers and received all within 10 days. I’m hoping this run continues with Lotrek, if he’s got his **** together. Hence my assertion that the end of the month looks likely

Printer delay with Fable, though I don't mind. I love that he is transparent about the delay and even has a bit of fun with it. The email starts with "The tradition continues..."
Looks like late July or early August for a ship date but we get a few photos to hold us over
Lotrek wrote:So we have a new appointment for the end of July - early August. I will make a couple of minor adjustments after having seen the second test (just for the sake of perfectionism) and we'll be ready to print in a few days when the printer will be available again.
I am really sorry about this but the closing of the paper factory was completely out of what we could expect as a possible obstacle and of course has ruined all our planning.
Still, the fact remains: Fable will blow your mind!
Thank you,
Lotrek - OathPlayingCards

Has anyone messaged Lotrek recently? It's taking a while to get a response

Does this mean I have more time to save up for this?

Sure you’ll have more time. That is unless another thug (I mean deck designer) doesn’t take your money first!

100%. I sent four messages via KS in the last two months, all ignored. It''s all about my ARABESQUE deck.
I give up.
Feel free to claim my deck directly from Lotrek! First come, first served. Lotrek, send it to the first who asked you about it.
UPD: My problem is not a delay. I was ready to wait forever. But not responding to messages is unacceptable.

It was only yesterday where I expressed hope Lotrek had his **** together. I’m sorry for seemingly putting the mozz on him. In more positive developments, I’m glad he’s had some fun with it and his **** seems more in hand than it has been at other times. But the real positive is this delay looks like making Fable a birthday present to myself, if everything goes to plan (late August birthday).

Hey, I was going to respond earlier, but I was driving! Not fair. Not fair at all....
Oh, I guess I will just have to survive with what I have. So few....
Interesting that I didn't get that message about the Fable Decks. I really like the photos. I wish I could pick up another one, but Gio's getting dibs on my money this month.

The email about the delay was in my inbox.
the closing of the paper factory was completely out of what we could expect
If I could just list all of the just third party disasters that befall Lotrek, it would be pages.
Still, the cards look great. I look forward to trying out his new cards and new finish. I know that is an area he is really working hard to improve. In handling the Less deck, I was really surprised at how well they handled given the stock he used and that it had no dimpling on the cards. It was also interesting as that stock reminds me of a number of his earlier decks, but they stock was much thicker before. Still I am not a fan of that foam-like stock he sometimes uses. I am hoping this is a more traditional card stock, but on dark paper.

Yep, I've contacted him about the Arabesque Players (not arrived, no shipping notification) too via KS, but not response in the last 2+ weeks.
Also hasn't responded to a follow up e-mail on a replacement for my damaged red Damask tuck. (Previous e-mail on this 7th June...)

I have cautioned Lotrek time and time again to only sell decks after they're physically in his hands to no avail. At the end of the day he will always come through with a top notch product but I don't know why he does this to himself! Patience, Lotrek- don't tease the deck until it's in-hand!

In a perfect world that would be the way to go. But since paper stock is the biggest matter of expense (even more with special stocks) and I don't know how big of an credit limit Lotrek has, I can totally understand the pre-order strategy.

Every Lotrek deck is an amazing thing. I agree it is well worth the wait and money. For those getting a Lotrek’s hot foil deck for the first time, it is a great thing opening his package!

Lotrek House Rules
1. Every Lotrek deck is amazing.
2. Every Lotrek deck is late.
3. If it is not late, it is not a Lotrek deck. [emoji23]

While this is true, both Vasta and Shiroo bring up valid points. Yes, it is frustrating and yes, it is probably also necessary. Even so.
And, really, Bradius? Stop touching his package.

Rousselle, I'd be more worried when Brad rips open Lotrek's package and starts fondling it.
Also, Brad, what's the white deck in your carats above?

The time is near, my friends. Last update from Lotrek was "end of July - early August" so I am getting all hyped-up again. Let's do this!

1 & 2 were brilliant, played them both on release, and again when the anniversary edition came out. I returned 3 after just two hours, dunno what the hell they were thinking with that by dumbing it down so much. There are rumours of a 4th being developed, but since the original studio closed down who knows what that would be like.

As I was going back through this thread, I noticed that Lotrek's card stock company closed. I wonder if it is the same company that supplied Cartamundi that closed?
Lotrek is one creator I have almost infinite patience with. He always puts out an amazing deck. I also appreciate all his efforts to sell us the decks closer to the delivery date. Even with the delays, this deck will still come in faster than most any Kickstarter deck, so I will count that as significant progress. The cards look amazing. The card back and tuck are stunning. I can't wait to try the handling and am even hoping I have enough change to get maybe one more deck...
