For a point of comparison, the new VXD standard diffractor deck was only $31 and the ones with holographic and cold foil on both sides were $47. I might bite for one, but that is a hefty price.

That's why I am asking. :geek: For 500 decks it should be much better (-50%, <$30). I'll try to find how to print 200-300-500 decks and make them affordable.

Well, I'm up for buying cool decks for a good price 70 bucks? Nah. 25 bucks? You betcha. I really don't care if there are 200 or 20,000 made.

We can also limit one of the editions by printing two back designs. For some reasons I like classic monochromatic backs

Or we can completely forget about "limited" and make both editions affordable and print both with foil (or just one with foil).

Thanks for asking our opinions. I am for "cards for the people". I would rather have more decks at a lower price point than just a few really expensive.

I would support a limited edition.

I also for 2 affordable decks by a top printer. I don't care how many are printed; 100 or 1000. To me a pair of good quality affordable decks decks is better than one super blinged out limited edition.

Also, I have mentioned this before, but now I'll post a reference. Vintage King/Jacks heads on my 3d mockups are from this deck. I'll decide what to do with heads when all cards are ready.

Enough with ultra limited decks with too much bling. The last 12 months starting with Mint 2 and now with Parlour have really hit my credit card badly (I'm sure I'm not the only one). Let's use Lorenzo's HoRS as the template for balance of foil, design and cost. $25 for something like that or your Black Tiki 2 is great.

As for the title, since it looks like a flower, how about Bloomin' or Blossom (I know bloom's been used on KS, not sure about the others) . Foliage, riot, splash to describe the colours .

:D

Right now I don't plan to offer anything over $20 in this campaign. Black Tiki was $20-22.

Current project status:

p.s. do you know that NEO:WAVE Ultra with foil both sides was available on KS for $14 (in one brick tier)?

That was my fault as I planned to print more decks. Then prices were updated for new backers. :D

But even now it's hard to believe that let's say $20 Black Tiki is the same as $5 USPCC deck. Even at $30, it's still cheap - something like $8 USPCC.
It's still possible to sell decks with foil for $10, but you need to print tens of thousands of decks. Maybe one day.

Don't look at JoD, don't look at pips, don't look at Kings.

I am testing clean lines without mosaic for the back. I think this version is much better.

p.s. it's a progress for me  as I don't update all elements of the design!

Man, now you're just making it hard for us to decide! 2 versions. 1 Mosiac, 1 non-mosaic? Mosiac cold foiled to really make the backs glitter and dazzle. Non-mosaic as the standard deck?

Mosaic makes the back busy. Also court cards style is different, so it does not work well.

Most likely (95%) I am not going to use mosaic at all. I like this new version with clean lines (I always wanted to do something with the center of the back).
If I decide to produce a second deck, it will be a deck with classic back design.

And this is after you've teased us with a borderless back design! Can you let us see how the new version looks as a borderless back?

I like the clean lines and I think this design does need the border. I agree with the flower name. Maybe something exotic?

Thanks! I agree about borders!

Maybe not a flower name but something very different or classic.

I don't want to use this back without borders + It should be modified first.

If you don’t print it. I am aftraid they will spend the next 20 years learning card design so they can recreate that design and print it themselves!

 It's easy! Download Adobe Illustrator and start trying!

I can't say I don't like this design, but it should be modified before use. I'll try. At least I like it more than the first borderless.

I am waiting for quotes from Cartamundi so that I will decide later.

What is really interesting for me is that it has the design reminiscent of a flower. The fan still reminds me of a flower, but in a different way. It is really cool to me. Kind of a metamorphosis.

I definitely like the non mosaic version much better. I would rather have the borderless but I can live with either.
