From the Seasons Facebook page:

"We'll be tossing up a few straggler sets and singles of the Hindsight series for those that missed it last year. They will be available on the Seasons site Friday 12pm CST."

Normally I'm very unhappy to be flat broke on the weekends I don't get paid. Can't say that's true this weekend.

I kept refreshing the Playing Cards tab and not the direct link at Friday Noon CST tab.
Missed out.
Can anyone give info on the prices for each individual deck and for the 5 set?

It wasn't in the playing cards tab but was a direct link from the home page (I almost made the same mistake).

https://www.seasonsplayingcards.com/col ... ight-decks

There were no Death decks for sale.

Disease, Dissent and Destruction were $52ea
Disaster was $36
Full set was $275

Thanks!
Yes, that's correct.
I wanted to check it out while it was on sale, but I already have the full set and have the carat cases waiting in my mailbox.
Looking forward to displaying them.

BTW, did anyone buy the TCC brick and half brick storage boxes? Those are awesome!

I just noticed that PlayingCardDecks added some of the 2020 NPCCD decks to their inventory here:
● $39.99 Disaster
● $39.99 Death
● $59.99 Gilded Dissent
● $59.99 Gilded Disease
● $59.99 Gilded Destruction

So if you missed out on the set or specific singles, they're all still available, except for the limited edition Hope deck obviously. I'm guessing they won't last long given how popular these are.

I'd hold that bet. Seeing that they went wholsesale sure slows down the hype.

Thanks for posting this. Just picked myself one of each. Now to start my search for the Hope deck - Wish me luck! 😂

Sweet. I really wanted an extra Destruction deck to open. I get a nice discount due to my Pip Box Club membership (I recommend this program). I actually could have used my points to get the deck basically for free, but I will wait for something else. I am happy to support Will and Alex while getting exactly the deck I wanted. Thanks for posting this deal EndersGame!

Great choice! I picked up another Destruction from Henry earlier on to open up. It is a beautiful deck.

Supposed to be some destruction decks available on Vanishing this Friday (July 30th) - $49 if they don’t change the price, which they may…

Hmm, decent quantities still left of these (5-9 of each except Destruction which is sold out) and not that much more than Alex sold them for. Wondering if Will just placed a bulk order when they went live and is reselling them for about 10% profit or if there really was a wholesale deal. Kind of wish I hadn't rushed to buy them now.

There was 😉. $20 for the ungilded and $28 for the gilded - sources told me.

I'm still happy that I got the set, because Hope is my favorite deck. I think very few resellers will break up their set and sell Hope as a single. I think in the long run it's not great to sell NPCCD decks wholesale. It definitely left a bit of a bad taste for me.

I would be curious why Alex decided to not sell his whole stock from his website?

Seems to me he could have made more money not wholesaling them, so unless he was fearful he wouldn’t sell out the limited quantity (which I find hard to believe in this case) it seems he wanted to reach a wider audience or share with the community at large

They are listed on the site... but, as "sold out." Alas.

Not sure what happened at vanishing - checked this morning and saw it as sold out without the July 30 notice - had signed up for email alert which I never received, so I don’t think they listed them in at all…

One year late but i was too impressed by this awesome deck to not post it up! Wonderful combinations between features and designs! Both tuck box and the cards inside are taken cared of to the smallest detail!
What impressed me even more is that The EPCC stock is top tier too! The fan is buttery smooth on par with any non foiled deck out there and I can't help but think that this one will be my most satisfying opening experience of 2021! Even after taken S17 and Nicolai decks into account.

To my top 10 favorite decks it goes!

If I have any other gilded decks in my collection that fan *perfectly* with my imperfect fanning skills right out of the box, I don't know what they are.

Every technical aspect of this series is perfect, and the designs and the illustrations are the products of collaborators who are playing at the top of their game. These decks are among by top ranked for the year in almost every category, and this year has had some freakin' amazing decks.

These decks are top tier, must-have. Absolutely Alex's best work so far, and among the best ever, across the board.

PS: your photos are pretty good there, too. :)

Were these eligible for the Diamond Award for 2021 Deck of the Year?

Winners haven't been announced yet, but the nominees were:
  • Bird Deck by Hilary Pfeifer
  • Charmers by Lotrek (Oath Playing Cards) & Kellar O’Neil
  • Circus Playing Cards by Marianne Larsen
  • Holographic Legal Tender Version II by Jackson Robinson
  • Onda by Alessandra Gagliano & Anthony Holt
  • Umbra by Jody Eklund
It's for the period July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021. The Hindsight decks started trickling into mailboxes in mid June, and most people probably got them in July or afterwards, but I doubt that they'd be eligible for the 2022 award. It would be a shame if Alex missed the chance to get these nominated for a Diamond Award simply due to shipping dates making it arrive just before June 30th.

Unless that's why he was nominated for Artist of the Year?

I still don't really understand how Bird Deck and Circus ended up among those other nominees  EDIT: Not that they are bad, they aren't! I just feel like there are other more deserving decks

That is an interesting question about why Alex was chosen for the Artist of the Year award. I am not sure it was for Hindsight though. Alex wasn't the artist for that series of decks. The artist was Kristina Carroll, who did a stunning job on those decks. That said, I am sure he was the artist, designer and probably the manufacturer for the tucks. Even so, Alex is a talented artist on many other decks, which is I am sure why he was nominated. I honestly struggled with voting this year. Except for Bird Deck, by Hilary Pfeifer, I am very familiar with the other decks and artists. All were amazing in their own way. While I wasn't familiar with Bird Deck, but i was frankly impressed with the designs shown. I was also glad such a deck was nominated and is receiving appropriate recognition. I liked Circus and am really impressed with Marianne Larsen's work.

I didn't pay attention during the Diamond Award voting, which I regret, because I'd have loved to have weighed in. As noted above, the decks on that list with which I am familiar are all fantastic, esp. Legal Tender V. II, Umbra, and Charmers, (I just received Odna a few days ago and I haven't opened them up yet, so I can't comment on that one yet) but frankly, Hindsight edges them all out in my list. Hindsight definitely should have been nominated. And, since I didn't participate, I have no room to criticize.

Beautiful pictures indeed Kas. I can't wait to finally hold my set in hand. I never got behind Seasons since I never really liked the courts. The concepts and tuck boxes were always top notch though. NPCCD always felt like the even more experimental/better Seasons - if that makes sense - but still I was never really inclined to pick them up, except for one deck of the 2018 series, since the chess theme and tuck concept let me forget about the courts. 2020 with the courts outta the way indeed was Alex' best project imho. Went for the full set even, because I was too lazy to pick a favorite. No with people praising even the handling to the moon, the suspense is building up.

Side note: I never quite grasped the Diamond Awards. The nominees - besides some household names - feel often random to me.

If you were like me and were happy to have a complete NPCCD year, rest assured that is no longer the case :(

These were shown at the 52 plus joker convention and sold to attendees as an experimental tuck. I can't tell if it's two opposite sides of the same tuck, or two different variations. Alex estimates completion of the frames around November, but no word yet regarding whether these will be released to the public somehow.
