Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
Why would an Oath collector ever have to look at a collector without a Lotrek deck?

My reality is much more mundane and chaotic. Note though that Redemption VIII is the only deck out on my desk now.

I see everything but Lotrek himself on that table - and I half expect the next time I look at the photo I might spot him.

That is what I thought. As awesome as that table looks it does not look like a Bradius-level collection on it!

Just saw it , I believe its a good decision, I can’t fathom how much pressure it accumulates with having so many rewards pending .

There's a turbulent and confusing pride involved in knowing that my support will have outlasted Lotrek.

Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
I guess I'm in the minority here. I get it. But I'm very upset. Loved the Patreon. Loved getting lotrek decks. Loved the behind the scenes stuff. Loved reading about his work and what goes into making a deck. Obviously the delays won't be missed but that didn't bother me because I know he will eventually deliver.

Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
he made it clear the patreon itself wont go away, just the paid tiers with rewards. (did he elaborate on what would be posted? no)
as essentially someone competing a first cycle, Im also somewhat mixed. I received my very first free deck with the mystery craft, Lotrek does good work and I assume this wont be the end of his production entirely just the "special" editions that are supposed to be released on a schedule, something that the seems unable to keep up to.
I just hope its not also the end of those special foiled editions themselves.

Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
The Patreon is going away. I think he means by Aug 2025 if the rewards aren't delivered, he will stop charging people who were pateons but still deliver rewards when they're done. I don't think he's going to keep a free Patreon where he doesn't send out rewards.

Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
The one thing I really liked about being a Patron was having a fairly solid feeling I would be able to get his new decks and not get sqeezed out as some of his decks used to sell out in seconds. Hopefully this can still be avoided. Anyway, it will be interesting to see how things develop and I wish Lotrek well as he moves forward.

That's how I took it as well. He leaves the patreon open until all the rewards are finally delivered and then he calls it quits with patreon for good.bdawg923 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2024 5:09 pm The Patreon is going away. Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
I believe all of us Lotrek fans will miss the Patreon as whenever I saw an Oath PCC Patreon Email I would get excited but the huge reward delay is an issue , no doubt on Oath’s integrity but different stuff can happen in that long time frame like address relocation etc and I believe Lotrek also will be needing to do alot of work to sort out all the Patrons based on Subscription Year .bdawg923 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2024 4:51 pm I guess I'm in the minority here. Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
Went in again for the last year because of... well, fok it attitude, paired with no financial responsibility, disposable income and a soft spot for the last dance (in that regard) with the Greek maniac. Wouldn't have done it, if he wouldn't have called it quits though.
I personally won't miss the Oath patreon and am looking forward to better and brighter Oath days.

No I will not miss being on the Patreon. He can just release stuff like how he done in the past. Design a deck that's fully ready, let people order and then ship.

Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
First of all, the Patreon page will not close. As we said, after the end of August 2025, we will stop charging for reward tiers. We will keep a basic tier in the style of "we support you because we love you" without tangible rewards. All Patrons that will join for that tier, will have early access to new releases, as someone here suggested. In general, we will try to offer as many benefits as we can, without the promise of delivering specific goods at the end of each year. These benefits can include -for example- access to any Patrons-only decks that may be produced.

Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
Hmm, not sure how I feel about that. I guess it depends on how much the basic tier will cost. So, it seems like at a high level, the only thing that changes is that patrons will not get any decks for their financial commitment.Evilgamer wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2024 4:46 pm

Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
I'm guessing it'll be the same basic Patron level that's currently available, which is $5 per month. That's the one I currently use to see updates and have access to buy new Patron only releases.brownsl wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2024 5:17 pmHmm, not sure how I feel about that. Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
I agree. I am nearly positive that his Lotrek's intent. Patreon was I think a way to get an idea of how much to make and thought it would give more freedom, but it just didn't work out. I am sure things will work out. Lotrek is an amazing card producer and however he moves forward, he will be fine.
