Bad listing is usually a typo. So instead of Blue Bloods, you'd search for Bleu Blood or something like that. Playng Cards instead of Playing Cards. You can find some good stuff that way, I've found some good comics and militaria on eBay that way. Also, Volkswagen stuff. Americans always spell it Volkswagon instead.

Mind you a lot of people will also put typos into their listings on purpose to attract folks searching for such listings.

Here's the perfect example of a bad listing. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fred-Paitnik-an ... 258d3b4008" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Item was listed as Fred Paitnik, instead of Ferdinand Piatnik.

Thought I'd take a page out of CBJ's playbook. Broke out all my decks and did one shot. Admittedly, the lighting isn't great, but everything I tried left a hot spot somewhere. Enjoy

One of these days - when I get older - I will spread the knowledge around, but for now I will just say it's much more involved. Remind me when I am 80 to give it up...

Here's the other six decks - all $8.40 worth:

Mike, are those top two Piatnik's? I've got a couple of their two deck sets. I really love the way they feel. And beautiful courts. Good stuff!

Thanks volant...the light was just not working for me, so I appreciate it. I assume you're talking about the Uusi/Encarded row? Probably my favorites, too. And Jackson's stuff down the side.

Its always difficult to get the light to work for you, especially if the light is overhead as alot of the decks have a glossy finish and reflects the light. I can start to suggest ways to improve the lighting but its gonna cost a big chunk of change so im not going to :lol: And yes thats the exact row im talking about =D

No, I'm just too cheap to buy the lights. Don't want to get a bunch of 220 stuff, and move back to the states in a year, and have to try and sell it and get 110 stuff. I use a friend's studio from time to time, but this one was a spur of the moment thing.

THIS, however, was done in the studio, and yes, a recent addition :D

Sweet stuff, and I'm going to have to pay Volant to fly into show me how to use a camera. Lights? I don't have no stinkin' lights...

Yep, it says "Hellenic Playing card Monopoly". ;)

And "Hellenic Republic"? Thought so. Think Hellen of Troy for all of us 'Mericans.

"Hellenic" derives from "Hellas" (the Greek name for Greece!). Nothing to do with the name "Helen". :geek:

Robert, sadly, no. She is one of a kind. She is, however, surrounded by six decks of rider backs in an homage to American Beauty.

While we were all waiting for, and then pledging on, Uusi's "Hotcakes," there was another related deck that I was quietly working on acquiring.

This deck was important enough to me that I didn't even want to mention it for fear that someone would find it and get it before me...

But since I finally received one deck for myself today, I can reveal what I've been chasing after.

I've also posted some of this information in the "White Whale List" Forum too.

For quite some time, I've been searching high and low for a deck of Elena Dolgova's "Perverted Playing Cards."

Elena Dolgova (a.k.a. Albicocca) is a Russian-born artist, now living in Vienna, Austria. She has been drawing illustrations for magazines and world famous brands advertising for over 12 years. Her works are preserved in private collections and state-owned galleries of Russia, France, Austria, Norway and the U.S.A..

On September 12, 2009, Elena published her "Perverted Playing Cards" in an edition of 200 decks, with every Red Tuck Case copy being signed and numbered, in Casino Classic 310gm paper .

I truly believe that anyone who likes Uusi's "Hotcakes" will also want to find a deck of theses cards too.

Although the cards were "Sold Out" everywhere I turned during my quest to find a deck of her cards, Elena Dolgova was kind enough to put me in-touch with a friend of hers in Russia, whom was able to sell me an unsigned deck in a clear case.

I don't know how many unsigned decks are out there, but I'm tickled to finally own a set of the cards, with or without the signed and numbered card.

April 30, 2014 NOTICE: I just got word from Julia Solovyeva in Russia, my source for my deck of Perverted Playing Cards, and she said the original 200 decks were sold out, and Elena modified the pictures and packaging for the current release of 80 decks; which are available at: http://belolapik.ru/#!/~/product/catego ... id=1485731" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It's a Golden Bee deck is what I think it's called. There is another Bee deck that looks similar to it. The backs are gold and blue. Other members have it too so they could explain it better. People in Asia are selling them on ebay and I think D&D have them too.

I think that's the China exclusive with the Chinese coins on the courts. Then there's the Coterie Bee deck that's pretty similar.

It's good for you that "six decks" wasn't auto-corrected. Otherwise it might have been an embarrassing post indeed.... :ugthink:

Luxurious Bee.
Embossing on tuck, which is made out of something similar to the Whispering Imps V1 black deck.

Love that deck of Bee's, from the box on down. They just feel different, for some reason. What does the Dream deck look like? I haven't been able to find any pic's on the web anywhere. Duan's stuff is a little different, just curious if he's running out of ideas

The Oracle has arrived! I was supposed to get an uncut sheet also, but, in an email from Chris, USPCC didn't pull any, so no Oracle uncuts :(

Too bad about the uncuts, though.
