Can we add a rule that we need a rationale for our choice? Makes the thread much more interesting :)

Can't Touch This.

Even in Malaysia, it inspired people to wear those pants or parody MC by putting holes in a black garbage bag and wearing them ala his pants. Plus people my age here still get what you mean when you say "Can't Touch This!" (yes, I'm dating myself here!) So that's a clear win in terms of global influence.

Now to get back to a more playing cards related topic:

Metallic ink/foiled/blinged cards vs plain cards with creative art/design. (Any designer)

Going into playing card territory I think is a foul. However, blinged out garbage is still garbage. Plain great art is still art. Creative art design over Metallic ink/foiled/blinged cards.

Baseball vs Cricket

Edit: Magic Tapp I correct, but for the wrong reason. Cricket because it is a drinking game disguised as a sport.

Me, me, me! I know that I will be stoned for this but that is quite clear - cricket, of course. For no other reason that it is played by more people than baseball.

I actually didn't mind Kilmer's Batman. Clooney but that could be more the script and director moving toward Adam West style Batman than Clooney's acting.

Jim Carrey. I grew up on Carrey movies, so I may be biased, but his style is just more classic and widely likable. Seems like a fair amount of people downright dislike Will Farrell, so his style is more unique and polarizing.

Big dog.

Cats are, by default, better than any small dog. Now, tigers/leopards are better than big dogs, but they're illegal to own in most states (30 IIRC).

Wonder Woman isn't a Marvel movie...

Hemsworth. It's not all that close.

P.S. I was kinda talking about comic properties. Not MCU vs Fox. I mean, X-Men is the correct choice, but not because of Jackman...

ahh, the age old question: Nirvana vs. Pearl Jam; I've had many MANY heated debates over this with friends and family alike but the way I see it though is that this really all just boils down to personal preference because, even though both of these bands came outta Seattle around the same time and were grouped into the same sub-genre of music making it a seemingly spot-on head-to-head battle to compare the two, they really were both going for different things in developing their sound and what they ultimately wanted to achieve with their music - Pearl Jam seemed to pushing for the bigger, somewhat more pure, area sound whereas Nirvana on the other hand wanted to retain their small, underground roots & aesthetic - and, in all honesty, they were both amazing at what they were doing but again, they were after different things. Now, that's not to say that each of the bands had moments that one might argue reflect otherwise, but overall, they were still different and so much so that I don't feel like it'll ever be a fair comparison to make, since Nirvana to Pearl Jam is like apples to oranges.

With that said, strictly based on the music, I prefer Pearl Jam; besides, I feel like they pioneered grunge while Nirvana, as great as they were, only brought the genre to the forefront of the industry and made it more mainstream.

Up next, battle of the 80's soft rock earworms: Toto's "Africa" vs. Phil Collins' "In the Air Tonight" vs. REO Speedwagon's "Can't Fight this Feeling" - GO!
