Italy has no "National" pattern as such, instead they have 16 accepted patterns which are divided into 4 Regional styles with each style being played in different parts of the country. The "Toscane" pattern is from the French regional style played mainly in the north-western half of Italy.
Next up is a `Braille` pack made by Waddingtons.

And last today is a pair of decks from Russia. Can`t find any Information on these.

Hi Guys :D
Thanks for the question
In the Early 1950`s in a bid to boost sales Waddingtons decided to re-introduce the Cir-q-lar cards (round cards) which were very popular in the 1930`s ,alongside the Cir-q-lar cards they also began producing Slim-line ,Kon-vex(Barrel-shaped) and Zulu-shield shaped cards. These cards didn`t catch the imagination of the puplic as much as the circular cards did and were all short lived fad`s.

Here`s a few more cards.
First a couple of Bicycle packs to got with the 3 packs i already have.
100_1427.JPG
Next up a Waddingtons Bezique set.
100_1447.JPG
TheHandlordz 2014 April fools deck next
100_1392.JPG
I didn`t know anything about this pack before i bought it  so was a bit suprised when i opened it
And last one today a De La Rue Advertising pack.

No no that's fine. I didn't know it was a novelty thing. It's interesting to know the story behind said gimmick and how it came to be. :)

Was holding out just incase some kickstarters come in but still no joy yet :( .i see in other threads that ornates have landed in germany today so should be seeing them soon :D .

100_1455.JPG
Next up a "Pasha" brand deck from Goodalls.
100_1463.JPG
A Blue coronation deck from Alf cooke to go with the Red deck i already have.
100_1465.JPG
And last today a Royal Automobile Club deck printed by Special design Products. After Waddingtons sold their Games division to Hasbro in 1995 they did little printing of playing cards .Until recently S.P.D a subsidary of waddingtons handled printing of special orders using their own Ace and joker design.sadly this pack has no jokers.

Hiya Eoghann :D I have 2 aluminium cases, these are used for my prized decks and the rest are in zip lock plastic bags packed in boxes, not ideal i know so I will be looking into getting a better way to store the decks like a drawer unit or something like that in the future.
The White Ornate kickstarter came in today :D no custom charges which is even better :) So a Randy Butterfield Bonanza today ;) i also had my Uusi Hotcakes shipping e-mail today so looking forward to those in a couple of weeks. Here are the Bicycle branded White Ornates.
100_1475.JPG
and the Un-branded White Ornates.
100_1470.JPG
One of Each of the Obsidian or Shadow Edition decks, not sure which is the right name.
100_1477.JPG
And last is the Black Imperial deck what was a add-on in the campaign. Pictured here with the Red deck i got from Volantangel a while back.
100_1479.JPG
I only get 1 maybe 2 of each different deck on kickstarter(the only exception being Lorenzo`s Heretic campaIgn where i pledged for a Brick XI) would have loved getting a few more of these Ornates though.
Thanks for looking at my cards :D jase-

Here`s a Bezique set from Empire Card Co, a subsidary of De La Rue.
100_1458.JPG
De La Rue was using these Small index`s from 1880-1890.
100_1459.JPG
Next up a "Hoover" vacuum cleaner advertising pack from Waddingtons, with custom courts and Ace of spades and a picture of the Hoover factory on the back. The court are repeated for each suit though which is a shame.
100_1483.JPG
And last today a pack of De La Rue`s "Pigmy" miniature cards.Square Corners and plain backs, the "Dexter" index was introduced into packs around 1875.

That Hoover deck has some pretty cool courts!

What does the little underlined letter mean on the Pigmy deck pips? Also I would think the jack would have a J instead of a K, any reason for that?

Hiya Eoghann. :D i always thought an underlined letter like that meant that the word was shortened, but am not to sure. i do know that Kn means Knave which is another name used for jacks. there are 3 vartiations of the Dexter index with later variations having a J for the jack and 1 for the Ace,also a variation with a red or black outline of the pips with the number inside.

A Manikin Cigar Advertising deck from Goodalls to start off with.
100_1492.JPG
This deck was given in exchange for vouchers found inside cigar packets - Much like the "Wills scheme".Each voucher was only worth 2-3 points each and with "Gifts" costing from 500- 20,000 points you needed to smoke a lot of cigars to get something worthwhile. The pack came in its original postage box which has a 1939 date stamp on it ,The presentation box,Tuck and cards are in excellent condition.
I was holding this set back because of another thread but there has been nothing posted in there for a while.
100_1489.JPG
I`ve seen a travel edition of these as well.
Next up a Artists deck called "The Bristol Pack".An English deck dated 2005
100_1491.JPG
And last today a "De Luxe" branded pack from Alf Cooke.

100_1489.JPG
Next up is a Flaxette brand deck from De La Rue.
100_1490.JPG
And Last picture today??? .I don`t know anything about this pack, i got it for £1 only because i got a few other decks from the same dealer. There are 56 "Cards", 14 of each of the 4 colours . No tuck only a paper wrapper
Shown here with a poker-sized card.
100_1505.JPG
i would be very grateful for any information about these cards.
Thanks for looking at my cards :D -Jase-

Haha i know what that last packet of cards is. Well technically its not really "cards" per se. Its the card version of chinese chess, probably some variation of it given that there are 4 colours instead of two. If you stare hard enough, the characters on the cards are the same as those on the chess board. But then again i could be completely wrong and this is an entirely different game.

I got a package in yesterday containing three packets of cards. The result of a "Kind of Trade" :?
Decided to show the pictures here instead of the"look what i added thread" in the hope that the post will be a prelude to me continuing this thread later on.
Anyway first picture is a pair of modern decks from Bent Castle Workshops, Getting these from a friend makes them quite special so i dare not open them (I`m tempted though  ).
431.JPG
The other pack is a vintage Aviator :o I will need to do a bit of research on American stamps as i focus mainly on british decks . Very Elegant looking pack :D
433.JPG
To fill up the post some more pictures,
This next picture is of a pair of LUXX from JP playing cards here in England designed by Randy Butterfield.
434.JPG
These are very beautiful cards, i decided to get an extra set to use for trade or maybe for one of Eoghann`s impromtu contests ;) i have not really thought about building a "trade" stash before,But as trade might be the only way i could get certain decks..i thought it prudent to have a nice pile of choice decks just in case.
And the last picture is of a nice Patience set from Goodalls.
435.JPG
This variation of the Most commonly used Ace by Goodalls, was produced between 1897 when the Limd was added to the legend and 1921 when the Limd was replaced by Ltd after the De La Rue take over.
Thanks for looking at my cards :D -jase-

Really like the backs on those Goodall Patience decks. They seem almost modern looking in their design somehow. I guess timeless would be the right word.

**edit** Thanks Jase, for the post that had the Zombie Cribbage. I love it and bought my own. The zombies have arrived and now I have to convince someone to play it with me. :ugdance:
