Was I ... Was I wrong to think that the EB tiers (I realise it's JR's first time doing them) might have some kind of baked-in discount?

OK, I see that now. Only a few of tiers give you a free coin. Weird that the Friar Tuck Early Bird tier, which is cheaper than the Gilded Trio, offers a free silver coin. Wondering if there was a Gilded Trio Early Bird tier, but it was filled before I got there, with only the standard Gilded Trio tier leftover.
