Put myself down for a signed 4 pack as well. This has turned into a really great set of decks..

Ugh. I'd like those freebies, but they're not worth switching from a 4 deck EB to the signed 4 decks; $12 more +$7 extra shipping.

Jody: How about an option to pay $4 extra (basically the difference between the regular 4 deck and the signed 4 deck) to get the freebies for us at the 4 deck INT Early Bird? Kind of lame that the only thing separating the two are a few signature

The coin and collector's box are $22 total, so you actually save $3, at least from my calculations.

Edit: it comes with the coin as well.

Dude, I would love nothing more than to do that. But my wife says to stop giving things away :) . I actually see the same thing as Cbkimble does, but you also get a huge value that you wouldn't get just by buying the Collector's box and coin out right. You get the Certificate of Authenticity (that you don't get when you do the add-ons). And you get a the artist signature that only a few will have.

Believe me, I would love to give you that tier, but it won't work from my vantage point. Hey, you get two great decks! What more do you want? My signature? :)

It's just frustrating to see that I pledge for as many decks as someone else (sans signatures, which technically doesn't cost anything) and does not get the freebies. The coin and collector's box may be $22, but I just don't feel like paying $17 for something others get for free

But I get it. Can't give too much away or you'll end up regretting it. Just wish you could have thought of something for the "special" 4 deck pledgers to not make us feel left out. I do save on shipping though, so I can't really complain.

Jody, why do you have the GS Shield in the corners of the Gold Edition jokers?
Its not like you expect the Gold Edition to be played much with games that require jokers.
Don't you think that they subtract from the overall diptych?
I think Uusi and Jackson have the right idea...the diptych isn't about jokers, its about art.

is it because there would not be enough room in the deck, for 2 jokers, aswell as a seperate diptych, aswell as the planned add cards that have the court names?
in my opinion, i think it works well, and looking fantastic

Well this looks amazing. It's relatively affordable compared to the "Limited" Edition decks we've seen come out as Stretch Goals so far... (cough Mob cough)

Also signature sleeves.

IMO these are brilliant. If you don't like your decks signed, just remove the sleeve! I guess the only thing is that it kind of separates the signature from the deck itself, so there's less "personalness"?

I like the sleeve. It's separated from the deck, but at least you can preserve it. Signing directly onto the cello makes the signature prone to being accidentally removed due to scratches. I can scratch an entire signature off with my nail, even when done with a Sharpie.

Those black decks look AMAZING! And I support the sleeves too, although mostly in a selfish way since I'm not pledging for signatures and it means that all decks will essentially be the same  I'd probably feel differently if I did want signatures.

Same here. I am in for signed decks and love this idea. I am hoping some of the decks in my brick can be black decks. Also Jody will need to keep track of who wants a black deck as it is the same price as a golden deck.

Why hasn't someone though of this sooner!? Fantastic idea! I think that sleeve is the perfect middle ground to people that don't like signatures on their decks and people that want signatures. I hope this innovation spreads like wildfire. Bravo :)

I hate the sleeves, but very much understand it's likely the best option. I open my decks and prefer it directly on the tuck, but only in a way that doesn't block the art. For those that don't open or don't want the sig to ruin the look it's easily removable. Sleeves also would work on dark tucks where finding the right color and marker can be difficult. Still, it seems less personal as mentioned or even almost fake somehow though? If done right a sig can be artistic and strategically placed on the deck, but you have to open it. Heresy to some I know.

I'm sure you can just contact Jody and ask him to sign it on the cellophane instead! :D

Oh, I will be asking in my survey if there is an option to have it opened and signed (deck itself, not cellophane). That does add an extra step, but I'll be asking for sure!

I just cancelled my signed 4 pack. 3 different tucks for the same deck is just wrong in my opinion. If he had designed a new deck with the black case, i wouldnt have a problem. I'm putting my foot down and refuse to support these kind of projects.

Well if you looked carefully, the black deck has a different back design. Plus the original two decks have different colour schemes

Brent, I appreciate your honesty. Through out this project I have been giving good prices with great value to all my backers. If this was really the same deck then the printer wouldn't charge me another set up fee. There are some unique features in this deck that you will not find in the other two. If you don't want to pay for three decks then you don't have to, but to just cancel seems a bit harsh. I have prided myself in giving everyone the best value for their dollar. I hope that most would agree at least.

So are the card faces going to remain white with a black back? Why no image of card fronts, especially targeted goal of metallic inks?

What happens of demand outnumbers the 1000 deck limit? How are you keeping track of the number of decks pledged for?

What volant said. You gotta lay off the ham Cbkimble haha. It's 3 different DECKS, not just tucks!

Brent I responded to your question on KS, but yeah, Kai pretty much summed it up. Three different backs, different color schemes. They're really three different decks.

 So you're going to re-pledge I guess. We're not falling for the okie doke of getting same decks with different tucks anymore. Nowadays unless they at least change the backs which to some that may not be good enough. As of getting two Black Ink decks and putting them together, I already think a few won't go for it.

Jackson Robinson did something similar with the Limited Editions of the The Independence decks.

The net effect is making a diptych type arrangement of the tucks, like was done by Alex Chin with Seasons original decks: Primavera (white) and Seronda (black) - sitting side-by-side the form a complete picture.

I did but I'm only going for one of each but that could change. When Jody first announced this deck, he originally had 2 decks, each with a limited addition. He was told that was too many decks and now he has three with color changes and a few upgrades.

These kinds of projects are why the USPCC stays backed up, IMO.

August has a big glut of projects ending it it - I#ve definitely overpledged already. I like the deck but I'm not sure I can go for the black gold version this time (much as I'd like too) :(
