Dale? He's working on something "next", but it's not this.
Y'all calm down, it will at least begin to unravel in 18 hours or less.

It's a glass deck. It could bring a tear to your eye b/c if you weren't careful you could cut yourself.

I'm thinking it'll have layers, like an onion. Bringing tears to your eyes as you're not sure if you should peel open the next layer. A deck in a tuck in a slip case in hand wrapped parchment in a velvet baggy in a leather lined wooden slip case a la the Scarlet Tally Hos.

Gold and Platinum leaf, swarovski crystals on the tuck, hand painted with gemstone dust paint

Something to do with garnet perhaps- a teardrop shaped gemstone?

I really dislike these "teaser" threads but I guess most people must like them or they wouldn't participate. And heck, it's also a great way for designers to get cheap/free new ideas. I will, however, leave this definition of luxurious here:
extremely comfortable, elegant, or enjoyable, especially in a way that involves great expense.
Looks like at least the great expense part will be true...

Great post Strag!
People do eat it up, don't know why. Must be human nature. These decks will meet everyone's expectations - and the definition in every way.

Let's just hope "luxurious" equals good. It could be expensive and have all the bells and whistles, but also not be a cohesive and attractive theme.

So very true. Give him an hour or two, it's time to at least begin to solve the mysteries...

You couldn't had nailed it better, Strag. The deck will be a pure joy for the hands, eyes, heart.
As for the free ideas, I'm definitely keeping the onion scented deck!

You're right. "ICONS" will be a set of 3 decks:
The SECULAR edition
The SACRED edition
The IMPERIAL edition
The first two editions will be separately launched later this year. The IMPERIAL edition -launching in a few days- is going to be a very special one, having features that like Venexiana Gold will appear for the first time in a deck of playing cards. "Luxury" was not my purpose in the first place. I wanted to make a deck inspired by the incredible splendor of the Byzantine empire. When the elements were put together, I realized that the deck will indeed be the most luxurious of modern era.
Now, what makes it so special will be revealed in a couple of days.

You should've gone a step further and put it in a
comic strip.

The first deck ever with both Gold and Silver hot stamped foil on all card backs, in velvet covered tuck case.
