Confounded th4mo and his knowledge of classic stand up comedy! Have to admit I missed that reference. Now that Netflix has all those old cartoons, I find myself laughing at discovering references that completely flew over my childhood head. And its surprising amount of adult humor.

And a side note, so I don't get yelled at for sidetracking...can't wait for the grotesque coin! I bet that's gonna be awesome! Apparently some new goodies are in the works for this project.

I think you're right. I suspect it won't be lions and tigers and bears (oh, my!), but more like coin(s) and dice and chips with dip? (Guacamole on that?) I'm feeling several things brewing over there in Greece. Lotrek isn't about to let everybody get bored, I know!

You're right Mike, I've been cooking a few things these days but I need some time to get samples and photos to show. I think I'll have the add-on list completed by next Monday. I'll be adding the goodies gradually. That keeps interest and also gives me time to finalize things. When you develop the project along with the campaign you become inventive I think. If you have everything ready from the beginning is great and you're more relaxed but the campaign does not "breathe" so much.

Amazing performance on Kickstarter, Lotrek! We're well past funding and headed for the as-yet unspecified stretch goal - to make the 2 decks unique instead of only distrint tucks (i.e. new back & possibly color with the same or very similar faces). Some more good collectible items, typical stuff people like to see these days, but I'll let Lotrek detail it one bullet at a time. I think it's more interesting that way, and keeps the community interest up during the middle 10 days of the project, which always seems to drag. Those last 7 days usually accelerate and fly up there even faster as the clock runs out... If I missed it, add-ons sheet / graphic likely posted tomorrow, first stretch goal likely tomorrow (the 2 unique decks amount detailed) and then more stretch goals detailed early next week. Other than the really big dogs, this project just flew off like a bottle-rocket! $17,143 right this moment...

On Venexiana I suggested if there could be a mask sculpture like on the front tuck. So for this, what if there could be a grotesque head figure that can hold both decks?

Up around $19,500 headed up to $20k soon. Tomorrow there will be a little more information about addons posted. I'm expecting a Grotesque coin here any day now. ;)

Oh, I think our - agreeably strained at this point - restrained enthusiasm will be rewarded tomorrow. You never know, I have a good feeling somebody we both know was thinking nothing but how cool he could make this Grotesque coin for all of us. It would be great to see everybody jump on the addons, so far all items posted are either cards or artwork, I'm ready to toss coinage in the hopper.

Well, let's see what direction Lotrek is looking from - I'm sure we'll likely find out tomorrow! It's already 6 in the morning in Greece. I'm sure he'll be up and active here shortly, I'm getting ready to fall out myself - up at 4:45AM for a 6AM - 4PM shift.

Coin rendering

Image

It will be made of bronze, with an antique finish. The dimensions are 37,5mm diameter, 2,5mm thickness and will be made in the United States.

I really hope these will be made by CoinForANything. The few coins I have from them (Imperial, Fed52, Gentlemen52, etc) are amazing!!
