I have a thing for art decks (The Ultimate Deck and the two decks by Digital Abstracts are among my favorite decks), so I would really love to have these.

I found the second deck for sale!!! I clicked on most of the links that appeared on the first page of Google search results in hopes of a store or a blog that would direct me to a store, since they weren't on Amazon, eBay, or on Google's shopping tab:

http://funkrush.bigcartel.com/product/b ... rd-deck-v2" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Nothing yet on the third deck, though. If I find any other place, I will post here :) I tried contacting BRC via Facebook, but I doubt I'll get a reply since they haven't been active since February of last year.

You aren't far off:

This is what they look like:
http://i.ebayimg.com/t/Rare-Authentic-Loews-Monte-Carlo-Casino-Historic-Playing-Cards-/00/s/MTIwMFgxNjAw/z/Wu4AAOxygPtS9Qix/$_57.JPG

Mint and sealed i've seen them go for $300.

My collecting bug started with casino chips used in Monte Ccarlo (Monaco, not the LV casino).
P1010698.JPG

That branched into cards used in the Monte Carlo casinos: (I think the 2 left hand ones are actually souvenirs, albeit rare ones)

Thanks for the info though, awesome chip collection!

Reading this thread is insane. You discover how far you are from your wish list because you discover one more in each post :(

I am looking for rare Bicycel decks. All those in CBJ's list plus many others such as Truth Garden #1 and #2, Sylvan Huzain, Decades 1st edition, 125 anniversary first edition, a commemorative deck I can't remember the name now and other I have forgotten...

I will die before those all :)

I saw those on TheCardCollectors website today, but it was marked sold out. They look much nicer than the vandal version and are manufactured by USPCC.

Same here - when/if I see one, they always go for insane prices. I have one of the 'Vandals' decks, nothing too special about that one other than it has his name.

While we were all waiting for, and then pledging on, Uusi's "Hotcakes," there was another related deck that I was quietly working on acquiring.

My "White Whale" deck was important enough to me that I didn't even want to mention it for fear that someone would find it and get it before me...

But since I finally received one deck for myself today, I can reveal in past-tense, what I've been chasing after.

I'll also post some of this information in the "Hey, Look What I Just Added to My Collection" Forum too.

For quite some time, I've been searching high and low for a deck of Elena Dolgova's "Perverted Playing Cards."

Elena Dolgova (a.k.a. Albicocca) is a Russian-born artist, now living in Vienna, Austria. She has been drawing illustrations for magazines and world famous brands advertising for over 12 years. Her works are preserved in private collections and state-owned galleries of Russia, France, Austria, Norway and the U.S.A..

On September 12, 2009, Elena published her "Perverted Playing Cards" in an edition of 200 decks, with every Red Tuck Case copy being signed and numbered, in Casino Classic 310gm paper .

I truly believe that anyone who likes Uusi's "Hotcakes" will also want to find a deck of theses cards too.

Although the cards were "Sold Out" everywhere I turned during my quest to find a deck of her cards, Elena Dolgova was kind enough to put me in-touch with a friend of hers in Russia, whom was able to sell me an unsigned deck in a clear case.

I don't know how many unsigned decks are out there, but I'm tickled to finally own a set of the cards, with or without the signed and numbered card.

April 30, 2014 NOTICE: I just got word from Julia Solovyeva in Russia, my source for my deck of Perverted Playing Cards, and she said the original 200 decks were sold out, and Elena modified the pictures and packaging for the current release of 80 decks; which are available at: http://belolapik.ru/#!/~/product/catego ... id=1485731" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Interesting. Those have been a long time without moving - over a year (the Facebook site listing). I happen to have a pair of the BRC v2 decks, but - how do you purchase anything there, Kai? Am I missing it, I suppose? As far as the v3 deck I've never seen it for sale - I'm wondering if it's one of those "white whales" that in fact does not exist. Does ANYONE have even a single copy? Has ANYONE actually seen one? (it's their supposed third version, with a pink ribbon around it) I'm all for using the web to hunt things down, and in fact I couldn't remember the name of that site you mentioned above: "FunkRush.com" - which is where I got the v2 decks. I'll do a little round-about to a few people that might have a handle on them, and see if I get any responses...

You purchase things by sending them a message, and if you agree with the price, they send you an invoice. :)

I have two v2s because I made an impulse buy when I found it on the funkrush site, then I bought both v1 and v2 from the link Kai gave since it was cheaper. I tried to cancel the funkrush order (I emailed them after only an hour of placing the order) but by the time they got back to me they already sent out the package. Figured maybe I could use it in a trade...

Thanks for looking into it, Mike. I've searched all over, messaged BRC, but I couldn't find anywhere that sells v3...

OK, I figured that was worth a shot, so I did (send them a message asking about v3). Curious...

OK, here's the deal: the reason that you can't find BRC v3 yet is that it has not been released and won't be until mid-June. I have 2 decks coming, and I found a source for UC members to order them - and even pre-order them. They aren't cheap: we're talking 30# (GBP/Pounds Sterling) + shipping each! That's the best we can do, and I am certain that you will not find a better deal, although I think I worked out 50# for a pair - plus shipping. I will post more information as soon as I have them and when I can about pre-ordering BRC v3 decks! Really glad I started chasing these today - I scored!

Now, does anybody have ONE deck of the v1 they are willing to part with? I looked, thinking - almost certain that I had one each of v1 & v2 and I don't - I have two of v2.

I'll get together a pre-order form here in the next couple of days, and then announce the availability of the pre-order of BRC v3 decks!

If I find another source for the v1s, I'll let you know.

Yashi, they're a series of art decks by the Black Rock Collective. I love art decks, because I like seeing different designs on each card. There are a couple of pictures of the cards a couple pages back, or you can Google Black Rock Collective Playing Cards to see more :)

It's certainly interesting.
It's kind of funny that I decided to collect playing cards for the art but lately I've found myself buying cards with standard courts or redesigned standard courts which has led me to going over the budget I allocate. So in an effort to save money, I'm going back to the roots of why I started collecting and these cards fit my criteria.
