$120 is too much for me, but I'll pony up the $80 for the final edition.

So, from the collector’s POV, is it better to open the test deck or the official one? :)

From the Vasta and Badpete POV it is better to open none of them :ugdance:

Maybe you can put yourselves together, and get the Set together, vasta41 gets the "cheaper" test print, and PrincessTouble gets the final edition. Not to much for either of them, but either gets a deck. Since 50$ is half of 100$ you can own double of them. :ugdance: And Lotrek's decks stay in family

From my perspective, the official one is the one to open (if you're set on opening one, that is). It's going to look exactly the way Lotrek envisioned for the release, and there will be far less demand for it than the test deck since the test deck is as limited as it is in numbers!

I know, I know, most people who buy this deck are NEVER going to actually play with them, but for those who actually use cards for their intended purposes, I'd like to know if they handle well or not. I already don't have any expectations for handling on par for what's required of cardistry, or even magic, but can these be at least be easy to shuffle and deal so that they're pleasant enough to use for several rounds of poker?
If I'm not remembering wrong, Lotrek said that this should be printed with the same finish that he tested with the LESS deck, and you could check out that thread for my post yesterday for comments, photos, and short clips:

That said, Imma pass on this deck and go sit with 2P because art-wise it's not on par enough to entice me to sell my bladder (I don't have any kidneys or livers left).

I realise this deck purchase is +shipping, but has there been a ballpark figure mentioned? Based on previous sales shipping wasn't a huge extra cost, but as it is I'm staring down $200 the pair.

Retail will be $90
Where did you get the prices? I don't see the price mentioned in his FB page. Curious as shipping is usually included with the price of the decks.

The prices were in an email if you subscribe to Lotrek’s newsletter from his site.

That is 11pm in UTC+2 (København, Berlin, Lagos, Kinshasa, etc...), correct?

Ah yes, found the email now. Gmail had sorted it into the promotions tab, not the usual Primary tab. Thanks.

Well, as someone has rightly pointed out, this really put all of you in a separate category of tuck collectors rather than playing cards connoisseurs [emoji3]

I believe the term we're kicking around with to describe them is " Tuckists". Do we have a better term for that? "Tuckers" could also work but sounds too close to *uckers…. :ugthink:

I am reminded of Dana Havey’s routine portraying President Bush Sr. “Not gonna do it! Not prudent.”

Or we can call them “tollectors” as in TuckcOllectors”. [emoji6]

In reference to.... Fables or coining a term for the tuckists? or both? on another matter, if memory serves correctly, it goes like this " Not gonna do it. Wouldn't be prudent..."

We should also have cute little icons to display under our names and veteran status :) Like a picture of a card for those who open their decks, and a tuck for those who don't.

We could have a handful of cards for the players, a one handed cut for the cardists and some cellophane for the collectors /tuckerists.

Shipping LESS to me in USA was $7.50 so I'll guess $15 to ship both. About $145+ total if I can snag one.

What does the selection of preparation mean (whole, sliced)? Leftovers from the product info template? :)

Cheers

 it must be...
Moreover, it can only be seen in desktop mode, not mobile mode... And by going through the detailed view of the Icons print .. strange.
Better be careful when you'll jump on it with your mobile at 5 pm...
