As I suspected, there is going to be a fourth deck. Release is scheduled for 11am EST on Tuesday, 25 Sep.

I wonder if the collector case is going to change as a result as well...

The purple looks cool, but I feel like a recolor of one of the existing decks was a missed opportunity to expand the theme with a new deck.

Don't bring back bad memories. I think Silver Arabesque sold out the first round in like 3 seconds. Might have been 6 seconds. It was in the blink of an eye.

I think I am going to pass on the purple Luna Moon deck. Nice, but with three versions, that is enough for me. Maybe one. Not sure.

I don't know for sure, but they do have an image posted on the KS page that leads me to believe it's going to be purple. But, it's definitely a recolor of Luna Moon.

Thanks - must have missed it. I agree that it is very much a wasted opportunity (with plenty of things to choose from)...

I could have sworn I saw a photo somewhere of a black version. Was I just imagining that? Did anybody else share in my hallucination?

I hope that the new Luna Moon deck will retain the reverse markings on the sides and two of the corners. I think they add some nice style to the deck. I was disappointed they did not use similar design on the Helius Sun and Esther Star decks. I think that was a missed opportunity.



I didn't see anything on a black version, so I can't share in your hallucination rousselle. Although I have more than a few of my own.

no no, I also saw a few pics of what appeared to be a black version floating around on the web somewhere too; I figured that it was either an unreleased prototype edition or perhaps poor photo editing that caused the blue to appear much darker than intended... but who knows?

EDIT: I think the ones you're probably remembering are from the original Luna Moon campaign:






The first two pics definitely look like only renderings, but the last two are hard to tell if they've only been photo edited to look darker but are in fact of the blue Lunas or perhaps protype black editions instead

Kinda sucks that they've made it an add-on for existing backers only. In the last campaign Helius came with it's own reward tiers. I would have been interested in the violet luna moon as purple is such a rare colour in playing card design.

Edit: Yeah I see it's happened now! Well, not being a backer, I couldn't actually read the update lol. Now that I see the price, that isn't gonna happen for me no matter how much I like the colour.

I believe they will make it available in reward tiers in about 4-5 hours... This was just a 12 hours early release for existing backers...

You could also, just pledge a $1, then add on Luna Moon purple.

Usually creators don't allow this, as that way you won't be paying for the initial shipping cost. So if anyone is thinking in doing this, first make sure you contact the creator.

Normally I like series like this but I guess I just have fatigue. The tuck is cool but I barely backed this 3rd deck to begin with, I don't think I'll pull the trigger on the purple ones.

The only reason I decided to snag the violet Luna Moon is for my wife. She fell in love with the purple; otherwise I would’ve been content with just the three in the series.

As much as I love purple (my absolute favorite color actually), I couldn't justify backing the purple recolor of the Luna Moon edition either - for me, this reiteration kinda diminishes the ingenuity of the original Luna and feels like it cheapens the series as a whole. Plus, considering that there are SOOOO many other thematically cohesive concepts that could have been chosen instead to continue the series (not that I personally would've really wanted to see the series continue on, but just in theory), a recolor is kind of a lame final edition to close on anyways.

Regardless, I do think it was pretty awesome that for those existing backers of the project that did want this deck, were given the first opportunity at adding it on to their pledge and claiming a deck before new reward tiers opened for non-backers to do so. Mad props for that

Well I got my decks which came in perfect condition but my 3pk display case certainly did not:

Did this happen to anyone else? I will be messaging in KS about this and see what happens.

I haven't gotten my decks yet, but apparently this happened to a lot of people I am a little disappointed as I originally thought it was a plastic display case

Nothing comes close to Carat Cases

What is sad, is that it sounds like it has happened to a huge number of backers. I haven't gotten mine yet, but I am hoping it survived. I did get a single Esther Sun Deluxe deck that is #21, so that is way cool!
