I would hope Lotrek considers selling some of the 197 slated for public release to his patrons. They're the ones who have been supporting him every month and should get a chance to purchase at least one.
He's had stricter limits placed on his Redemption decks, for example. I wonder if anyone bought a brick.
He's already released the lion's share to patrons; it would hardly be fair to the rest of us if he released more and cut down what is available to us.
I believe Patrons still deserve a chance than public release. First can anyone confirm if all 500 decks launched today ? I still think all 500 didn’t launch today, even after that 197 remains , 60 -80 decks with maybe a limit I think should be offered again , a good chunk of 100 remains for Public . Patrons are the one supporting Lotrek for Years without getting any reward yet other than Redemption decks , I think they deserve more than non Patrons tbh . Well everything can be resolved if Lotrek responds but getting a response from him is abit of challenge in itself

Over on Patreon there are several upset Patrons who missed out (around 14 separate people have voiced disappointment), I'd like to hope Lotrek will try to make things right
If I myself hadn't seen the post here saying they were almost gone, I wouldn't have even tried to buy one until tonight -- I thought there'd be plenty
It's also a bit strange to me that Lotrek never seems to actually be around during product drops -- what if something actually goes wrong??

I still think it's unfair if decks that are allocated for a group are cut into because another group were too slow or assumed that they'd have more time. And, yes, patrons are supporting him right now, but don't forget that a) this
isn't a Patreon deck, b) patrons get their own decks for supporting him, and c) some of us were patrons in the past.

Wow! I can’t believe these sold out so fast! That said, before the launch, I went and looked at how many patrons are still supporting him (228). I thought to myself that if everyone bought two (like I wanted to do) then these would be gone in a flash. I did think that the price tag would significantly slow the outflow, though. Really glad I didn’t wait, and stepped away from work for a moment. I was pretty confident that I could wait until after work, but decided I better hurry after thinking about it.
I think it’s pretty clear in hindsight that there should have been an initial 2 deck limit for patrons. I bet he will give every Patron an opportunity to buy one.

I got mine but I suspect there may have been some tomfoolery afoot like someone adding 100 either to scalp or just to mess with people.
Despite what I said/read earlier I dont think he actually put a limit on it of 12 or whatnot.

A solution could be offering purchase of 1 deck per patron who didn't get any from the initial sale but only in the window before the public sale launches. He can cancel any deck sale if it is someone who bought during the original drop and trying to grab more. Yes, that would dip into the 197 available in the public release, but I believe it would still leave a significant amount up for grabs.

It dropped at midnight his time. He probably watched it drop, then went to sleep.

its one of the features of patron. got in and its sold out.
i don't know if its really 500 was put up for sale, but the rest should absolutely be for patron. (of course, for those who didn't bought any)
it was unfair from the start, deal with it.

I would really like to see how the buying went. I am very very surprised that at that price they sold out that quickly. I was in no rush to buy any and did not expect that it would already be under 100 when I finally got around to logging in. I suspect that Lotrek did not expect it either as he is usually very good about limiting the quantity to make it fair if he suspects they will be sold out quickly. I do wonder if there were some buyer(s) that bought a very large quantity. I am curious to hear from him to see if he can give any insight.

Not just Lotrek but it absolutely boggles my mind that at this point, designers still have a hard time avoiding controversy.
There are two simple rules to follow.
Rule 1
1) Reserve one copy for all patrons so they don’t need to rush and you prevent time zone issues. They are your most loyal supporters after all.
Rule 2
2) Make enough to have some for public sale
I guess I’ll start a playing cards consulting firm at this point.

I dunno having exactly as many copies to sell as copies that people want to buy is the ideal solution, no overstock that isnt making money
I know Giovanni/TWI has said his focus is on KS/Patreons not really as much web sales.
In this case only 300 have been sold and Lotrek has said he is going to ensure every patron who ones one gets it and given the next release time (though RIP any west coast patrons).

I’m not advocate for capitalism but why wouldn’t you sell as many decks as people wanted to buy? There’s no reason for artificial scarcity other than the resale market or hype.

Lotrek is asking people to dm him in the comments. So it doesn't appear like patrons will have to worry about the next drop being at a bad time. He's ensuring patrons can all get at least 1.

You can do both, as he usually does. Set a strict limit for the first wave. Then after you ensure that everyone that wants one gets one, release the rest without a limit. That way you maximize your sales and make sure you keep customers engaged, happy, and more likely to keep buying.

Yours and others attitudes remind me of the adage, if that's the correct word, of people who take one slice of pizza in case it runs out, and people who take four slices for the same reason. And I can guess which one you would be.

Or the guy that acknowledged having bought 13 in the Patreon comments. He subtly hinted at reselling, citing Crypt's prices. A great example of why trickle down economics doesn't work in practice, but I digress.
The initial 300 drop makes sense because when I completed my purchase, I saw stock was at 300 and stuck there for a bit. The progression then went to it updating to 105 and then weirdly going back and forth between 94 and 90, only to then be sold out.

13 decks that dont have great handling, only can be admired or used for gameplay I doubt other than reselling what could be the motive
or maybe they like to get alot as a security backup like I see some CN collectors with bricks of collectible decks .

I just get whatever decks I need and get out. I never want to do the quatity count thing because that can probably mess up another person's chances in getting their decks if that's true or not. I'm not even curious about how many decks are remaining until I see them sold out.
Either Crypt or Golden Oath was at 95 or 97 euros? This might be the priciest deck release yet? My bad if y'all already discussed this in previous posts.

For Oath's website, it tells you the remaining stock within the quantity box when you place a quantity that is higher than what is available, without placing them in the cart. So putting a high amount like 1000 gives you the information without compromising others' ability to purchase the decks. It's not necessary, but I like seeing how the sale progresses if I have the time when the sale happens.
This is my first Mystery deck but from my understanding and what others shared, Crypt, Arabesque, and Damask were similar price points, with Damask being potentially higher. Golden Oath might fit that same bill as well.

It makes a bit more sense that 300 sold out so fast. He still has nearly 400 that are unsold. Still, an hour and a bit to sell 30,000 euros of decks is impressive. I PM'd Lotrek in Patreon, so we will see. I guess I am going to be allowed the privilege of being able to purchase at least one. Whoo hoo, I guess. Sigh, I get tired of this self-inflicted circuses. I am old and busy. I don't need this anymore.
I am still not certain that there will be a fast market for nearly 700 of these, but I have already been surprised. I was hoping to pick up three. We will see.

so, which one?
neither. cos its a bad example. (and you clearly knows it's not a "in case it runs out" situation)
the issue have been resolved. it's 300 sold, not 500. there's enough for patron who missed out without touching the public release. but you still feel the need to sh*t post.
just becos i disagrees with you? idk but i ain't backing down when someone tries to sh*t paint a picture.
every patron gets at least 1, it's a FEATURE for being a patron.
if 500 are sold (**WHICH IS NOT THE CASE NOW**) and there's still patron who missed out, which means lotrek miss counted,
***i standby my word*** of course patrons who missed out gets to buy *at least 1* from the public release.
well, becos... every patron gets to buy at least 1.
i did not edit my post, i did not said 197 leftover should ALL be for patron. i'm pretty sure it's "for those who didn't bought any"
back to your pizza sh*t. i'm neither taking 1 or 4 "in case it runs out".
i'm only taking 1 that was for me. YES, F'KING ONE
good job pissing someone off. wasn't expecting to be offended so much by UC.
was it unfair? yes. maybe next time throw your sh*t at lotrek.

Just a reminder that Patrons are getting a version of this deck. From his Patreon post,
"The only detail you are allowed to know about the deck is that a special edition of it (on different stock, with different tuck case and different foil colors) will be the base reward for Year 3 Patreon"

I can’t wait until the first years’ reward come, if only that it means all those who have since quit Patreon can finally get over it and leave the rest of us to suffer our delays in blissful ignorance/hope
I’m sick of the negativity, as justified as it may be for some…
