Welp, didn't mean to mess that up for whoever is bidding/auctioning. But I announced the launch via webstore about 10 days ago on KS.

You still have to be quick enough to get one of the Prisms. I’m sure they’ll go fast. Will there be a limit on the them?

Prisms are 2 per customer.

this is what makes the playing card community cringe with laughter
the Prism Limited Edition deck was listed as “exclusive-to-the-set” with Sarcophagus deluxe box sculpture
And not shortly after fulfilment the remaining overstock decks sell for $140usd when it was clearly presented as an exclusive item only to the box set.
not shocked at all here, obviously better to have waited it out and grabbed the single deck if Omar is going to pull this in future releases

$140 for a single Prism deck is kind of pricey in my book. Plus, you are going to have to fight for them. I forgot about it, and they are sold out now, which is no surprise. You can get them from some places in the secondary market, but likely a bit/lot higher than TGW sold the extras for.
I thought what TWG did by offering his few extra Prism decks for $140 a nice gesture to those that really wanted only the Prism deck. Heck, he didn't have to do that. Now you criticize him for making his extras available individually? I think you are being a bit unfair.

Ye I was hugely disappointed during the campaign because all I wanted was a prism deck, or even a prism display deck add-on to a regular deck. Didn't back the project because of the restrictions. Somewhere in this post Omar valued prism at $125 so $140 was a fair price to pay. Glad I was able to get one. Really strange criticism here tbh. What's he supposed to do, make more sarcophagus boxes to sell the prism decks or perhaps just never sell them?

After so much drama, "no changing my mind", "prism only makes sense as part of the box"... We get this.. after all money speaks louder than anything else..
Guess TGW is no different than other brands that we so much like to joke about...

I was there, had one in the cart in plenty of time but just decided it was a bit more than I wanted to pay, and frankly I was quite sure there were others who wanted it more than I - so I tossed it back.
And yes - criticism of him selling a few extra decks is a bit of a reach in my opinion - but everyone is indeed entitled to their own.

THIS.
My 2 cents, maybe the door should have been left open at the beginning i.e., if (big if, etc.) there are leftover prism decks, those will be sold on my site... or something along those lines. I guess, couple folks here are frustrated because they really wanted just the prism deck but were told it won't be sold as is. Now that it is sold without any frills, I understand the heartburn it has caused for some.

As far as the remaining 50 Prism decks, I'm contemplating giving Sarcophagi tiers the opportunity to purchase them at $125.
Did this never happen within backer-kit?
Cheers,
KW

It did, I got an extra one that way. I’m guessing he kept some back in case of lost or damaged packages, and that’s what he just sold.

We had some orders that were never paid for. Hence why 15 prism were reinserted into sales. I thought it be nice to offer a chance to some folks who missed it previously.
The edition size is still the same 400 announced. The sarcophagus edition size was reduced during the campaign to 350. This is why there were more prisms. All of this happened during the campaign and immediately post it.

I FINALLY got my rewards, and WOW, definitely I am so speechless. Wake is not kidding when he said: this is his most ambitious project to date. And that white deck: it’s like holding a chunk of solid brick - the sculpture is amazing!!
And this is the first time I get a tuckbox in its very raw form: not folded and not cut
I got the white since… that’s the most beautiful one, along with the green
Just WOW!
PS: HECK! Why phone uploads keeps making my portrait photos to horizontal?!

EDIT: I removed the photos at the creator's bequest
It is my fault to bring out the problem out in the open. It was my bad habit

Keeping it sealed, just like you would with a stamp collection, maintains a significant increase in value. I'm not well versed in the statistics, but I wouldn't be surprised if percentage of unopened decks for collectors hovered around 50.

Wake, I hate to bring this bad news, but my Black and Legacy decks got a defective ones
IMG_9674.jpeg
This one, the side of the cards appeared to have been hacked by a blade
IMG_9675.jpeg
This one is even worse: like there is a running line across the foil, and for the first time I got an offset deck from Cartamundi
Please send me photos of the issues to
info@thegentlemanwake.com. Sorry about the issues. I haven’t received any other reports of issues other than one card that was miscut in another deck.

You actually CAN see what number you have - just look at the bottom XD every TGW's numbered decks have the numbered seal located on the bottom - this is to prevent a good seal ruined if you ever decide to open the deck.

Thanks...I didn't notice at first since the gold ink blends in with red. I got number 719.

More photos of the Successor - for this one, the titular Dynastinae Edition!
The black holo of the box is just so subtle, it's very hard to find an angle to see them. You need an extra flashlight OR go ask for help from the Sun to get that rainbow sheen of the foil
Three Dynastinae decks altogether, the trio of green and gold.

Did Cartamundi decide to move once they realized they were infected with the USPCC virus?
I still prefer USPCC, but I'd like for them to improve, not for others to get worse. Let's hope this move is for the betterment of the industry. I'm optimistic and hopeful it will be.
