Smoke and Mirrors V7
Re: Smoke and Mirrors V7
I dunno, it'll stop damage if you get like a dribble of water on it, but in seriously humid conditions wouldn't it actually trap moisture inside?

Bingo on the "tampered with" comment. As a collector I usually buy two of each deck, one to open and open to keep sealed. I like the way my decks look sealed and I like to take the opened ones out of the tuck and look at them and show them to friends. By hand-applying a label it only ensures that after-market might be hurt because someone could have an opened deck, used it, and then apply a seal to it later. No, I'm not in this for "investment" (hah would be the worst investment ever as I spend far more than I could get back) but all collectors like to at least know that if they wanted to sell their collection for a certain amount they could.Russell wrote:Most cellos aren't air tight to being with. The cellophane wrapping around 99% of packaging is not air tight or waterproof. It's there for two reasons: to see if the product on the shelves has been tampered with and to protect against vary light water damage.
Anyway, I'm not super impressed with D&D so far anyway so it's not likely I would buy their deck, cello'd or not.
Re: Smoke and Mirrors V7
In my opinion , seals are now just decorative add-on to the tuck box unless its a Casino Deck .V7 is a collector's item and those seals look great on them so it doesn't matter to me if its factory sealed or hand sealed , just hoping to see its nicely arranged in the center
Don't Worry , Be Happy Cheers!

well i just received my box today, and i'm a bid disappointed with the boxes of the v4-6. they seem to be of lesser quality of the others.
Re: Smoke and Mirrors V7
Are v1-v3 single decks, or are in sets of one Smoke and one Mirror, like the originals?Josh wrote:well i just received my box today, and i'm a bid disappointed with the boxes of the v4-6. they seem to be of lesser quality of the others.

Re: Smoke and Mirrors V7
man. i gotta say. i REALLY dislike the feel of these cards. the edges feel awful.
Re: Smoke and Mirrors V7
what does that have to do with anything? if Dnd knowingly put out shit cards in a collectors box set to close out Smoke and mirrors that's just bad for their brand.badpete69 wrote:All the decks in that box are reprints except for V7

For the record...
I received my Smoke and Mirror v7 Box set today. For those of you concerned about the decks not having cellophane or being factory sealed you have NOTHING to worry about. The entire box set IS "factory sealed" in an industrial plastic wrap. I am not opening mine so I don't know about the individual decks. I am very happy with this product.

Re: Smoke and Mirrors V7
I probably have that figurine, though I haven't looked at them in years. My wife and collected Smurf items back when we first married. We have hundreds of those figurines. Smurfs used to command high prices in the resale market back in the late 80's and early 90's, but when I looked at things on Ebay a few years ago the market was very depressed. Too many sellers and not enough buyers apparently.Strag wrote: Surely this would have to be the official Smurf mascot
