True, as far as I know, the faces won't change - except perhaps the exact coloration, perhaps? We haven't discussed it, but -it's his ball, I'm going to let him sink the shots. I do know that the intent is exactly as you describe - to switch from the "Plan A" which is as it is now, to have two different tucks - into "Plan B" at some as-yet unspecified stretch goal; and that is to make it unique, with a different back, and then you have to distinct decks as opposed to two tucks with the same cards inside.

Being 75% there after 1 day is a great achievement! Shows the power of this community ... not to mention Lotrek's great design (of course :!:)

Yep, partially my fault: I had this originally in "Site Announcement" and "Global" so it showed up no matter what forum you were in, I left it sticky so it would show up at the top if "New & Custom Decks" only, now. (and merged existing topic there into this one)

Those are staggeringly beautiful cards. Pledged for both decks.

Registered here just to say "Coooool" in response to the Grotesque deck. Pledged within an hour of launch, that's how keen I was - went for 2 decks of each.

I'm the proud owner of your Venexiana decks, housed in your gorgeous hand-made wooden box, so for me the Grotesque deck was a no-brainer. Really happy to be a part of it!

Peace.

Cool, see - I told Lotrek his following would overwhelm us if we're not careful. UC members consistently went in there and got 2 out of 3 of the higher EB tiers, as well as the highest tier - all within the first dozen pledges. The single decks lasted for about 30 hours, I think? (EB I mean)

Happy to have you, HoverDonkey!

I attached a couple of graphics that haven't been posted on this side before, the Queen of Diamonds and the King of Clubs from "Grotesque" decks.

If you didn't get an early bird then try next year! I'll be glad to add both decks to the growing collection. I'm already anticipating the UC 2059 Annual deck.

Lotrek,

I really enjoy the Venexiana decks. And these? Wow. Totally digging what I see. Pledged for three of each on these, as I did for Venexiana, and sir, I can't wait to see what you produce in the months and years ahead. You've got talent.

Good art adds joy to the world. Thanks for all you do.

I got a message saying you needed a change or different add on for Grail? All are available only in pairs, or the split 50/50 brick - well, I guess that's pairs. Oops...

Thank you Rousselle, such words are true inspiration for me. I really don't know what else to say... :)

Thank you all! What's happening right now with the deck is beyond belief for me. I was sure that "Grotesque" will perform well but no way it would be funded in 40 hours!

I believe they'll be cool! I was planning to contact some people here for things I have in my mind but I didn't expect the deck to get funded in the weekend!

Ahahah, that's funny - and good! I'm a barbecue junky myself, seems to find me every other weekend, but then again I'm a Senior Master BBQ judge for both South Carolina BBQ and Kansas City Barbecue Associations. God ost er godt på alle sprog. Godt, bedre, bedste! (også godt langsom brændt svinekød). There no word but "gril" in dansk for BBQ, and it just doesn't mean the same, so "slow roasted pork".

Hehe, glad you caught it. Chicks just get shaky at the knees when I whisper that to their ear.

Can't say I've ever had goat cheese. I've had leche de burra though. Milk from a female donkey, whatever they're called.

Looks like we need to organize The Great UC BBQ cook off. I make some mean baby back ribs and steaks that'll make you see double rainbows all the way.

How about the "UC annual cookbook"?
