Good question. The industry seems to have stalled what with the Cartamundi shutdown but on Sep 28 Vanda did say 'Lots of updates coming soon' but zip

Coming soon! I have final production prototypes of the tuckboxes and they look insane. I'm putting together the kickstarter campaign details and photos/video now so hoping to launch in the next couple weeks. I'll be posting much more on social accounts leading up to launch.

Just found this thread... yes a bit late.

Artwork looks great, but one specific part of the back design reminds me of the Chameleons decks by Asi Wind:

Well, i would be all over this project and instant backer but my trust is gone after the Centurio + Stories disaster (I was a backer of both campaigns). Also looking at this thread.... presentation and active progress updates from July -September 2023... then a half year of nothing till April 2024.... and now another 4 month of nothing ---> flashback to centurio and stories campaign.

I hope to get the deck(s) after everything is produced.... I still got the Vanda Centurion Club Membership which says: "25% discount on all merchandise at vandacards.com" ( a membership worth ???? of a series which ended after the first issue ????) Let's see where this goes.

Yes for the decks, but no thanks to the campaign from me, sorry.

the fact that people were continuing to engage with him after what he did and the (non) apology he gave was surprising to me.

The fact that he has once again ghosted the community and fallen short of promises does not surpise at all.

The non-apology was an issue for me and enough to keep me off a campaign, but a shame if he has relapsed

You guys, I’m still here and I’ve apologized many times over for what happened with the Stories campaign. All backers have been shipped items and I paid for the additional costs out of my own pocket. The pandemic came at a brutally inconvenient time for many reasons and costs for everything increased drastically.

This Alice project has been intentionally delayed because I want to make sure everything is aligned and the timing is right to ensure a smooth campaign and fulfillment experience.

I had some issues with my photo/video resources and I’ve needed to find another solution. The prototypes are currently being photographed/filmed and then the final step is updating the campaign details before launching. I would much rather take the additional time to get things right than to rush and end up with logistical problems.

More to come on this project soon.
-David

In fairness, and in hopes of avoiding debate - some felt that you glossed past it a bit (some may have wanted a bit more acknowledgement of their right to be upset) - but its good to see you up and about.

I still feel it was glossed over. This is the post the you previously pointed out as your official apology. Buried at the end of a long post that basically takes no ownership at all for your continued radio silence to specific messages being sent to you, whilst at the same time still having the bandwidth to undertake sales on your web site.

It's not even close you to owning or taking responsibilty for the complete lack of communication. Others may trust you with their money, but not me.

It wasn’t hay either. After the long silence it was the right thing, in the right way, with the wrong communication. More or less.

Also had the wisdom to alleviate the issue to a fair degree with the next project by putting the production in other hands - which acknowledges reality

LOL at "wisdom". He still hasn't learned how to communicate. Last comment was "it will be weeks" and been radio silence until this thread got bumped.

You can keep seeing only the positives Gandalf if you choose, but my concerns are valid to me, and I still think David hasn't learned anything from this or owned any of his part in lack of communication. I messaged him multiple times on many platforms. Zero, zip, nada, nothing. Not ok when this is someone I trusted with hundreds of dollars.

I’m trying to give a man the room to stand up in.

Not saying you don’t have a right to be pissed, and to voice it - just adding a bit of temper as he does not appear to be a scam artist coming back for a big score.

To be clear, I haven't said he's a scam artist.

I have said he is terrible at communication, and for that reason I refuse to trust him with my money. It's a minimal expectation I have.

Gandalf & Strag, if you guys keep having a clear, respectful back and forth you are going to RUIN the reputation of UC!

You are right about him not learning how to communicate as "next couple weeks" became 4 months and it seemed to take a Bump for that to happen. This time however we are just talking about project updates not KS fulfillment

I’m ready and very excited. I know people might be skeptical given prior issues but I want to see this come to life and Bob does such an amazing job.

I can assure you all that this campaign/project will run smoothly. COVID really caused a lot of problems with timing/costs for the previous campaigns but as you know I've been doing this for over 12 years now and though I admit we've had delays and hiccups, the decks always got fulfilled eventually.

You have my support. Just waiting for launch. Can’t decide what tier to back but I’ll figure it out.

The bonus pack will include a display deck, an exclusive pin, and likely a couple stickers. More details will be posted in a project update

If it happened to contain a mini Pluto deck, I wouldn't be upset.

I legitimately do not remember the last Kickstarter -- cards or otherwise -- I set an alarm for. More surprised I woke up for it. Still shocked my backer number is in the single digits.

I kinda like the art but given his past substantial issues I'll be waiting for the secondary market for this one.

Wow…I just discovered that all the imagery I created for this Kickstarter campaign looks great in web browsers but on Kickstarter’s iOS app, none of the images are shown on the campaign page. No idea why the app is not working properly.

I’ll try to update the campaign page soon but in the meantime, make sure you view the project through a web browser (desktop or mobile both work fine) to see all the artwork.

I was going to mention this to you because I was so confused why the campaign changed so much compared to pre-launch page you shared. Hope it gets fixed soon.
