Nowadays it isn't even just the cards, it is the wrapping. I think Jack Brutus is pushing that envelope, but Steve Minty and others are right in there.

Seriuosly surprised they don't have one yet though. Being one of the leading companies in the dairy business, you would think Riffle Shiffle would do more in that regard.
Your worst nightmare is waking up in a room covered in diffraction foil isn't it?

Looks like we have the same top design, Bradius! I was incredibly lucky reaching out to Jack not too long ago to see if I could buy any decks post-fulfillment, and he had one Ougi case remaining that he had to re-glue. #7/30. He was incredibly kind and I have to say, the presentation is phenomenal. I also enjoy smelling the cherry wood. Now I'm only missing the Kin-No-Sensu deck with that beautiful flower band on it.

Far less than you would think, haha. I don't even dislike diffraction foil but the offerings where it looks good are just like 1% of all diffraction foiled decks.

and 50% of that 1% is stuck in limbo because VXD doesn't know what they're doing.

I bought the first several releases but quickly tired of them all and stopped. For once the completionist in me was kept in check to the delight of my finances!

Ditto. I think I was in the first two rounds, but with no innovation of any kind and the fact that the "red" suits were whatever the colorway of the deck was... well, that just kinda soured me. One of these new ones is Obsidian, too, so... will all the suits be black? Doesn't matter. Too many times to that well. I've moved on.

I backed these 😄

Say all you want about it getting milked at this point, but I've had many chance to get past versions and passed due to the price. Which is unfortunate because I really like the skulls theme on classic courts. But this time it's holo front and back, it's the latest and greatest, I'm in!

The only ones worth owning imo are the original dark reserves, in gold. Everything else is a mindless cash-grab.

I didn’t pass in the past but I’m passed that now.

I am partial to the bronze myself.

Copper>Silver>Gold>Holo. It's why I'm completely happy only having the Bronze & Silver Dark Reserves, I would have the Gold too just for the sake of the trio but aftermarket prices. I made a joke not long ago about 'when's the next 666 recolour?', well here it is, and it's barely even new, they already did holo now it's just holo and darker holo... Curious to see where they'll go next after this, probably invert it and go full bleed holo or something.

Hell so many
Cuz it’s RS: we got the standards, then they GILD the F*** out of the decks. Do it on every project, and you can expect RS deck count to reach 1000 per year

At this rate, 666 is nothing more but cash grab rather than something to love with…
Three editions are fine, but now we got to five… I won’t be surprised if next year, they are going to do it again - as if they are forcing it

It got holo on front and back this time...

And really I don't get why complain if you don't want to back, just don't back? And then there's shuffle up and play backing and then complaining lol [MURRAY]

It's 1000% funded clearly there's a demand. And there's the likes of me who will get them for the first time.

I don’t think it’s complaining as much as a friendly ribbing, depending on who is doing the complaining and what role these played in their having to abandon becoming a completionist…. And how fresh the wound ;)

For me it had no such role, but it does ring the bell and sends me down memory lane - and makes me giggle both to, and at, myself

Endless colorways and hype decks are going to get raked over some coals from time to time, and piss some people off now and then - but it doesn’t keep me from getting the ones I like.

they have nearly run out of foil color at this point, barring different shades of the same color. they would probably need to change the tuck stock color at this point.

Huh? ... Less then I've expected. I guess their goal is to aim for 666 (more or less) different editions. Or they keep milking the design even far beyond the apocalypse.

Chiming in on this again... if they do another design next year, so be it. Don't buy and move on 🙂

Riffle Shuffle have a lof of other products, I don't know why people seem to think they're not doing "something else". Imagine how many variations/recolors of rider backs, bees, tally ho's, etc.. there have been.

It's a product line, that's the point.

I hope they go on forever, so that I may quip at them until I shuffle off this mortal coil.

From time to time I think of a line that might go into granite to keep visitors company while they visit my eternal resting place - a contender might be “Here I lay me down to sleep, a brick of cards placed neath my feet, and if I lie in patient wait might 666 in kind abate”
