I don't buy Lotrek's decks for the decks, only to see what the packages look like.

Yes most plastic leaks a bit, but the plastic used in this mechanic is mostly more durable than others and specified for this. Normally you can let it stay in that condition for multiple years and there is no (maybe very very very ... little) air in the bag. This is actually a pretty good preservation tool if used correctly and with the right materials.
... So glad this is not about rubber... :?

Just got my decks as well! Anyone know the card stock of this LESS deck? Nothing like what I've felt before, of course this is my first from Lotrek as well!

I think that method's name is vacuum packed. So you put it in the plastic bag and the air gets pulled out, what you're left is a bag just with the item, conserved without air.
Actually, Lotrek’s decks are just sealed in a plastic bag and not vacuum packed, which as you mentioned, is when the air is sucked out of the bag.

You're totally right! But in my mind, they were vacuum packed. :ugthink:

Lotrek sold a few pairs of these at the convention as well, which I also picked up, but got caught up and forgot to post...sorry. There is a Silver and a Gold edition and they were relatively inexpensive, but I don't remember exactly how much...something like 25 a pair. Anyways, here are pics of the tucks.

That stark contrast is really something and really does evoke minimalism, which can't be said for a lot of other decks attempting it, I'm definitely in for a pair when they're released.

Does anyone know if he is using a pearlescent stock like with his dark gray release? It looks like a different stick in the images.

The gray one was $25 if I remember correctly.

Looks like it - at least in the pictures. The stock of Less is pearlescent and has no embossed structure. The cards in the pictures from Ted have an embossed structure and aren't pearlescent.

Does this deck really need a recolor?

I understood the initial deck was created as a test for the new stock, curious why this now?

Oh, testing another stock, I guess.

Oh, testing another stock, I guess.

The initial deck was printed as a test for the stock in general. The decks that you see now were printed in 2018 together with the Arabesque Player's edition.
The stock is the same that was used in Arabesque and Silk decks. Now unavailable due to the French factory's discontinued operation.

The decks will be @ $15.

Guess the extra 10 per deck we paid at the convention was a personal hand delivery fee...nevertheless, well worth it to hang with Lotrek (for the second year in a row)! :ugthink:

No, the price was $15 at the convention, too. I really hope you didn't pay $25 per deck!!!
Great idea btw, I'll add a "Lotrek Presence" fee next year! Start saving!

EDIT: What got you confused is I think the Arabesque decks that were sold for $25.

Need clarification here, so the $15 version you're (Lotrek) talking about is the Black ink on white stock edition, and Sherm's $25 version is perhaps the Gold or Silver ink on white stock editions?

The photos that Lotrek posted on Facebook and the photos that Sherm posted here are three different editions as it seems, unless the lighting is confusing the silver ink with the black ink.

Help, Lotrek!! :?:

I think that they are one and the same and as Lotrek said, were 15 each, which is closer to what I remember. He was also selling Arabesque Players, which were 25. I got the 25 from brownsl, who was also at the convention and bought a bunch of Lotrek decks and said they were 25, but must have gotten the prices confused as well. From the IG pictures, I think its just the lighting on the Silver/White tuck and its actually silver...my assumption, since I don't open most of my decks like my brotha, Paul (and many others whom remain silent ;) ), is that the stripe is black on both editions and one has silver while the other has gold inks.

I do not disagree that they were $15. I thought they were $25 but I bought so many decks at the convention I must have mixed it up with another purchase. :ugthink:

Both editions pictured here are $15 each. Their only difference is the gold versus silver metallic ink. And of course this is reflected on the tuck cases, too.

Additional question here: so the Silver and the test deck all have silver court faces, will the Gold edition have gold court faces instead?
