I don't think I've had a good cigar all year. Maybe I should celebrate Turkey Day with one next week.

I got my set in the mail, these look really amazing in person!

I'm probably going to crack one open and go play cards at the cigar bar in downtown, next weekend.

This may get me to try a cigar. These are classy as hell, Jackson.

Nice to see all the good feedback on this deck. Was surprised that the gold editions were labeled out of 1750 though.

Just under 1000 were sold through the Kickstarter tiers. And they were tagged as a Kickstarter exclusive.

FYI and to my pleasant surprise, Maduro Gold deck is still available at JP GAMES website for £34.99. Last 9 decks, get one while they last! ;)

Received the deck yesterday. It's a really nice addition to my collection. Pleasure doing business with you! :)

I think it is a bit of a shame that Maduro came out about the same time as Tigers. I feel Tigers sort of “sucked the oxygen out of the room” for Maduro. When I look across Jackson’s entire work, Maduro is definitely in my top grouping. The custom case is brilliant, but so are the custom cards and courts. Also, don’t forget the foil band. I think it deserves a lot more recognition.

Definetly, agreed. Tigers is still a bit better for me personally, since the customization is a tad mor to my taste. With Maduros the non-body courts throw me a bit off. But the custom boxes and the level of execution are definetly on the same level.

I really wish they didn't disable scrollbars on their site; two-finger scrolling is a pain for me, sometimes literally.

I'm fine with my normal, older version of this deck.

Btw, it seems that this reprint is not the box edition but just the deck. Wonder when will the box edition be re-released? If someone has that information, please share ;)

On first look it seems that this new edition has a darker wooden box, but unless JR confirms, can't be too sure.

Correct, new updated cedar wood texture, but most importantly, the Maduro seal for the first print run of these was CMYK printed on the box. We removed the Maduro seal from the printing and created a matching foil and embossed cigar band style seal that we hand applied to the cigar box. (big upgrade visually, IMO)

Although I prefer the brighter first version, I like the updates made. Did someone see/hear that updates were made to the cards as well?

A few high level details about the LTD Maduro Version 2
  • Same cards as the original Gold Edition
  • We originally produced 1000 new cigar boxes but lost about 150 or so in a shipping accident. (We were compinsated for the loss, but reprinting the 150 or so boxes didn't make sense)
  • Because of the shipping issue we will only be producing around 850 of the new LTD maduro.
  • The tax stamp seals are numbered to 1000 but only 850 or so will be made ^^^^ See above.
  • KW Subscribers will get 48 early access.
  • Retail will be $36

I'm not getting this as 2 eds are more than enough for me. But still really happy that JR's aware of his int'l fans that he splits the drops into 2. Been doing that back in 2018 when he launched the Short Subs. I can only think of Lotrek who has done that in the past before he moved to a limited time pre-order model.
